OrangeRay, home of Pixie's Place Animal Sanctuary and Hospice was founded in 2007, when I left L.A. for the forest by the river to create, and to expand my shamanic pursuits. Being that Three Rivers was home to the socialist Kaweah Colony in the 1800's; which helped in the founding of Sequoia National Park; the area is rich in history. Poet John Muir was enchanted and inspired by this area; Walt Disney fell under her spell as well when he envisioned a "Swiss Chalet" style resort which never came to fruition. The water wars of California began right here; gold rush...right here! "Kaweah" is the name given by the Indians for the sound the Crow makes. Three Rivers literally sits on slabs of quartz crystal, making rock hunting superb! As an energy practitioner, the quartz heightens the healing process; as well as creating an energy vortex. My property sits on an area that was once an Indian village, and then the school house for the children of the pioneers. There was a huge Hare Krishna Colony up here in the 60-70's. As a photographer and filmmaker, the lighting up here is amazing! The night skies literally pulsate with their celestial canopy. A great spot to sky watch as well! The property is not kid-friendly, and is not really here for children as much as it is offered for the inner child in adults. WE ARE 420 friendly which is in opposition to most "family" landscapes....so please note this is not personal but I prefer no children xo Also, I prefer no pets, as it disrupts the balance here with the animal residents :) I share fresh eggs when available :) (The shower is not available to guest :)

Welcome to Deers Eye View! Enjoy a nice morning or evening on the front patio, enjoying nature. Relax after a long day in our jacuzzi bathtub. Our home is 1622 sq ft with plenty of space to make yourself comfortable. As you walk into our home, you will see our open living room and oversized couch. You’ll then see our kitchen and dining room immediately. Our kitchen table seats 4, and we have 2 barstools in the kitchen for the bar area. Down the hallway, you’ll see our first bedroom with a Queen-size bed, the laundry room, and a hallway bathroom. Then straight ahead you’ll see our master bedroom with a bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a full bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. Our home does have AC/Heating by mini split units that are all new & purchased & installed in June 2022 and are maintained monthly. We also have 2 twin folding beds that can be set up in either bedroom or the living room. Purchased in August 2022 for additional sleeping. Ring cameras are located on the outside of the property. No cameras are inside. Enjoy a nice evening on the front patio, enjoying nature. A propane barbecue is located on the front porch. Absolutely no smoking on the property. Wildfires are common in the area. Three Rivers is a very high-risk area. Three Rivers has faced evacuation warnings in both 2020 & 2021 due to local raging wildfires. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING/FIRES ON/NEAR THE PROPERTY. BE ADVISED - Sequoia National Park has received significantly more snow and rain than normal this year (2023), which has resulted in some damage to some roadways within the park. MAKE SURE TO REVIEW THE SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK WEBSITE FOR CURRENT PARK CONDITIONS INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING. *REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN IF THE AREAS IN THE PARKS YOU'RE WANTING TO VISIT ARE CLOSED* RULES: Maximum occupancy of 6 is strictly enforced. No smoking or vaping inside the home. No parties/events (Unauthorized parties/events will result in immediate cancellation with no refund, and an additional $1000 fee) No pets allowed (Unauthorized Pet Fee $500) Tampering with or disabling the Wi-Fi or camera will result in immediate cancellation with no refund. No open fires or fireworks No feeding wildlife No exception to Check-In and Check-Out times unless pre-approved by the host.

1 night at Dunlap Canyon Retreat

What a treasure! We stayed here during a conference at the monastery and plan on coming back whenever we are in the area. Spencer was very accommodating and respectful. The yurt was cozy - although it was freezing overnight the heater kept things bearable. The environs were peaceful and relaxing.

Weekend Trip to Delilah Ridge Winery

Delilah Winery and Camp is such a beautiful and unique spot to stay! My husband and I only booked one night and I wish we could have stayed longer. Our trailer, the bathrooms, and the kitchenette were clean and well stocked! It was a chilly evening but the electric heater that Kirsten provided was plenty to cut the chill. In the morning we really enjoyed the unique planters, fish, gift shop, very friendly cat Bobbi, and the coffee shop that was only a 5 min walk away. I would definitely stay again in the future.

3 nights at 3R Ranch Retreat w/ Wifi

Staying at Samir's RV was super simple & easy! The beds were comfy, shower & kitchen were adequate, and the fireplace was a really cool addition. I especially appreciated being close to the Sequoia National Park entrance! There wasn't very stable wifi/service in the RV, but that was absolutely fine with me. I enjoyed being relatively off the grid for a couple days. Check-in & check-out for my stay were contactless so we never actually met, but Samir was awesomely accommodating & refunded my unused sauna session add-ons after check-out. Thanks!

This was my second time staying at Delilah Ridge Winery, and me and my partner love stopping here so much! It’s a lovely stop for us when driving from SoCal to Sacramento, and is very close to Kings Canyon/Sequoia NPs. Such a beautiful spot!

Loved spending the night here with a couple friends! It’s a perfect, cozy spot to spend a night or two while exploring the national parks and local mountains. If you’re looking for something easier than camping or setting up your own campsite, but still has the feel of being outdoors, this is it! The heater works great, water gets hot (wifi does not reach the trailer however, and cell reception ranges from decent to absolutely nonexistent- but if you really need to use a phone, the wifi works great closer to the house). The coffee was such a perk in the morning! Thanks so much!

Weekend Trip to Camp ikigai Animal Sanctuary 501c3

Camp Ikigai is amazing! I booked the birdhouse cabin and have no complaints. The outdoor shower was my favorite especially using it during the night! It has hot water and soap. I think there was a meteor shower because we saw about 20 shooting stars in like an hour. The camp has such an amazing view of the night sky, i havent seen that many stars in so long. In the morning we were able to sit outside and watch the horses. It was very peaceful, I will definitely be visiting again

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed staying at the Cottonwood cabin! It was a nice cozy space and the scenery was sooo beautiful! I got to enjoy my breakfast on a big rock by the river and it was the perfect way to start my day. The restrooms were really nice and well kept! Overall it was a super comfortable lodging experience.

A perfect five-star stay! The combination of the incredibly gracious hosts, Joe and Kim, and the unbeatable proximity to Sequoia National Park makes this lodging a must-book. It was the perfect basecamp for exploring the park's famous trails and towering, ancient trees. We especially appreciated the easy access to nearby dining establishments and the fun, nostalgic candy shop—it added a unique and sweet touch to our entire trip!

The trailer is nestled between an abundance of greenery and the A-Frame cabin.

Great getaway place, everything was perfect. Wendy definitely makes this a special place. Pictures of what the place is are on point, ypu have everything you could thing off, loved the eggs, you have acess to the river super close to Sequoia if that is something you want to do. Def a place to be free and enjoy nature, would def love to come back! Wendy is such a great host.

Absolutely awesome and unique place to stay. Wendi is genuinely such a wonderful host. Her animals are all absolutely lovely to have around. Loved staying in the little vintage trailer and really enjoyed getting to sit under the stars next to a little fire every night. Her spot is right on the river and I def recommend taking a dip and laying in the hammock as the sun rises. Location is great if you are planning on going into Sequoia National Park for some adventures too!

Beautiful! but be wary if you come in the winter, unless you have tire chains or a 4x4 vehicle, might be difficult to drive up as the roads get a little icy. Also a part of the Generals Hwy was closed during.

Yes, pretty cold for the time/season we went but a magic place to visit, cool hikes around short and long depending on what you look for. If you go in winder make sure to take chains some days may be required to enter the park even if at the entrance is no snowing

Ridiculously breathtaking. A must visit if you are in the area. Humbling to be among the trees. Go early!! Traffic got a little sticky starting around 10:30am for us (we visited on a Saturday).
