This was our second time here and it was even better than last year. The yurt has everything you need and the grill had a full size propane tank. It’s quiet and peaceful and the atmosphere is amazing. We’ll be back next year!

Family Friendly & Clean Facilities

Sequoia Highland camp was beautiful. We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The campground is beautiful, incredibly clean, and so family friendly. The hosts were responsive and helpful. The bathrooms deserve a special mention. I’m very particular about cleanliness, and they were spotless every single time we used them. They were maintained to a standard I truly appreciated. My family enjoyed watching the sunset from sunset swing and roasting marshmallows around the community fire pit. It was a memorable experience for my kids. We also loved seeing the cows on the property. Cow #59 became a favorite and stopped by our yurt to visit several times, which my family absolutely loved. If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-maintained campground with thoughtful hosts and a welcoming atmosphere, I can’t recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to come back!

Best camp in the Sierras

We love this camp and the cabins we stayed at. The thought put into building the cabins in an eco-friendly manner, the cozy lighting, the coffee provisions and their charm made us a repeat visitor. If adults need a summer camp, I would recommend grabbing your group of friends and coming here. We enjoyed the stargazing site, the sunset spot, the naps in the hammocks, the fire pit at sunset and the rec house for group activities. The host were generous and easy to communicate with. The amount of biodiversity among which we got to stay made it more enchanting. We ran into some deer and foxes enroute to the cabins. The mature oaks, the mistletoes, the oak galls, the hawks, the flannel bush, the manzanitas, the wild flowers, the wild oats and the grazing cows made it a joy to wander around. The land has some interesting rocks if you are into geology. It was easy to give kids a check list and set them on a treasure hunt to occupy them. Access to nature, a cabin and good coffee was the solution we needed and found it here.

Yurt 16 at Sequoia Highland Camp

I had such a wonderful time camping at the Sequoia Highland! The directions and self-check-in process were so smooth and user-friendly. The staff was incredibly accommodating. When our initial reservation had a maintenance issue, they moved us to another yurt without any fuss. They also kept me in the loop about fire pits and shared great local recommendations. My biggest tip for anyone planning a visit: try to arrive early enough if you plan to enjoy some cooking time. If you’re not into cooking, keep in mind that the pizza shop on the way up the mountain closes at 8 p.m., so it’s good to plan ahead. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Definitely a 10 out of 10. I'm already excitedly trying to organize a group trip, maybe with a few yurts and a cozy cabin. Truly grateful for all the helpful support.

Overall it was great! Cozy yurt, adequate supplies. Potable water would be really nice in the future. The only bummer was that we happened to be there on a weekend where a “spin cycle” group took over the majority of the camp. They rented out what we thought were communal spaces and we were subtly told not to join at the shared fire pit. They were extremely loud until 10pm and then at 7am the camp turned to a nightclub blasting music for their spin class. Just seemed out of place for what the camp claims their ethos is. But I’m not sure this is the fault of the camp, just bad luck on our end.

Highland Yurt Glamping!

What a delight! Our experience at Sierra Highland Camp was nothing short of wonderful, we wish we’d been able to stay longer. We booked an overnight in a yurt; such a comfortable stay complete with cooking gear, BBQ, and heater. The make your own bed set up was clear and easy. The bathroom blocks were great, updated, spacious, and clean. This is a great location to explore the surrounding National Forest, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia NPs. We look forward to returning and spending more time.

Incredible yurt and stargazing

We had a blast at yurt 17 and are already looking at dates to come back! Our only regret was that we did not stay longer. The yurt is equipped with staple amenities including a kettle and fridge. It has power and to our surprise WiFi. We stayed in mid October and I do wish we would have brought a couple extra blankets as it was pretty chilly even though there seemed to be a heater in the yurt. The yurt has plenty of privacy and we felt like we had the whole camp to ourselves. The communal bath house was very clean and several bathroom stalls and showers which made it really nice to be able to get in and out. The stargazing area was also amazing! We saw the milkyway and several constellations! Definitely make time for this!

Great yurt experience

Beautiful spot with lots of space to explore the views! The yurt was comfortable & the campsite was well stocked. I enjoyed the stargazing on-site and the friendly cows nearby. The host & staff were very welcoming.

Yurt 15 at Sequoia Highland Camp

Loved staying in our yurt at Sequoia Highland Camp! It was close enough to Sequoia that we were able to go every day and get a good amount of activity in. Our yurt was clean and comfortable and we were able to access the Wifi from it, which was so nice! There is a little bit of a hill you have to walk up to get to the yurt and its not the closest one to the bathroom, so take that into consideration when choosing your yurt! But overall it was a great experience

Loved the overall experience. Yurts were clean and had all the required utensils and equipments. Place was calm and quiet. Men’s showers did not have hot water showers, which would have been nice to have.

Our family absolutely loved this area! Great location! The camp was very well maintained and thought out. You can feel the love they have put into this property. The cabins were great and had everything we needed for our family of four. The kids (4&8) loved seeing the wild quail coveys, the star gazing nets and the sunset swing! The owners and camp host were very kind with wonderful communication. Both taking extra time to answer my questions about the land, property, buildings and a neighboring forest fire. We felt very comfortable and safe!!!

You have to drive up the cliffs to the most breathtaking views. Not for the faint of heart of heights are an issue. The area was peaceful and quiet and like minded individuals. I think it was simply amazing natural and beautiful place to stay.

Loved my yurt stay!

Had a great stay at Sequoia Highlands. Stayed in yurt 12. The yurt itself is super cute and very clean inside. There was a queen sized bed and 2 smaller beds. All had memory foam mattresses which were really comfortable and pillows and sheets are available. It was very hot during our stay so we were so happy to have 2 fans to cool down at night. There is also a small fridge and nice pour over coffee system with provided coffee! Communal showers and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. It is pretty remote so stargazing is amazing and beautiful views. We also had some cow friends and quail visit. Host was very responsive to my request to add another night. WiFi worked well. If you want to feel off grid but still have all the convenience of home, this is the place! I would love to stay again.

Fun Yurt experience!

The yurt was exactly as advertised and the sunset view and stargazing were beautiful and amazing!! It was quiet, secluded and we definitely plan to come back and bring our kids with us. The owners were very responsive and kind when a request was made, even late at night. The local cows were entertaining and seemed friendly. We felt safe and secure. Also the showers and bathroom facilities were more than adequate.

We loved the yurts, super cozy and clean. The bathrooms and showers were also well maintained. The camp had a lot of amenities (mini fridge, cooking utensils, grill), which made the trip super easy. Beautiful campsite. Hosts were very responsive and provided very detailed instructions for check in. Perfect for a weekend getaway to Sequoia and Kings Canyon.

A Peaceful Escape for Two

We stayed here for our mini-moon and overall had a memorable and peaceful experience! The campground has a charming, rustic vibe and is tucked away in nature. It is the perfect for a quiet getaway. Wildlife is definitely active here! A bat managed to find its way into our cabin! Fortunately, the staff was very accommodating and were able to move us to a different cabin that was bat-free. Sunset Point is absolutely gorgeous, and the swing overlooking the view was chef’s kiss. The cabins are cozy, but just a heads-up: there’s no air conditioning. Even with all the windows open, it got pretty warm inside. Thankfully, there was a fan in the cabin, and we brought an extra one from home which helped a lot. One suggestion for future stays, I wish the cabin patios had lounge chairs. It would have been nice to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings more comfortably. I’ll definitely be packing a couple of my own next time!
