We use controlled burning, hands-on fuel reduction, selective native plant culling, and encourage the land to regenerate naturally. Just as important, we believe sharing the land is essential, because stewardship only lasts when people are connected to it. This is a rugged mountain property. Terrain can be steep, rocks near the creek are often slick, and nights are very dark. Campers should be prepared for off grid camping and up for adventure!

They are here a couple times per week, and also rent their camp. You may hear them having fun and engaging in target practice. The river is a shared space but it is rare to see anyone else. Noise travels in the canyon so you may hear occasional barking or other vehicles. Hearing coyotes sing at night is very common. We had such an amazing experience staying here! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and camping right next to the flowing water made the entire trip feel so peaceful and special. Our host upgraded us to a site by the lower falls, and it ended up being perfect. There was plenty of space for our two tents, and the sound of the creek running nearby was incredible to fall asleep to. The hosts went above and beyond the entire stay. They were extremely communicative, always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. They even kept us stocked with fresh dry firewood, which was especially appreciated during the cold nights! On top of that, they were kind enough to help us out with extra supplies we forgot, including blankets, gloves, jackets, and beanies. Their hospitality genuinely made the trip so much more comfortable and memorable. The grounds themselves are gorgeous, with so much to explore and beautiful nature all around. Watching the sun set over the mountaintops was honestly breathtaking. Since we stayed during a quieter time, it also felt incredibly peaceful and private, which made the experience even more relaxing. Overall, this was a phenomenal trip from start to finish, and we’re already talking about coming back. If you’re thinking about booking, it’s so worth it! The view is AMAZING!! Hosts are so kind and amazing! We had a cold night and they provided my group with blankets, jackets, gloves, etc it was so nice!! I can just keep going on about positive thoughts with this site and hosts! Most definitely going back!!

What a beautiful, quiet spot! We spent 3 nights here and we will be back. The dog loved being able roam around freely. Michael and his wife are amazing hosts! Very understanding and helpful. I could not have asked for a better place to relax.

Weekend Trip to Musick Creek Falls by Shaver Lake

We really enjoyed our time here. The campsite was beautiful and it was incredible having our own private waterfall. The host was also so helpful and accommodating. It's nice knowing they’re not far away in case you forgot a basic essential (like a BBQ grill grate in my case). The waterfall is pretty loud which isn’t an issue during the day but do consider bringing some earplugs in case it keeps you up at night. But overall I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. We will definitely be coming back!

Weekend Trip to Dunlap Canyon Retreat

The camp was great. My yurk was clean with a bed that was more comfortable than most hotels I stay at. Plenty of room to park and hang out in my camp site. Fun watching the hang gliders and paragliders do their thing with a great view of the mountains right from my camp site. Bathrooms and showers. I’ll definitely be back!

This was a great campground close to the national park and forest. It was helpful to have wifi since I didn't have cellular reception. Great views of the mountains, nice access to a creek, and the sites were well maintained with great bathrooms.

Beautiful area and kind hosts! Billie was very sweet and had great communication, answered our questions and greeted us when we arrived. We got to meet their donkeys and horses, so cute! The sites are lovely and spaced far apart from each other so you don’t bother each other if other sites are in use. The amenities provided were great too! Each site has a picnic bench, propane fire pit, propane grill, trashcan and a foot pump style sink. There was an outhouse close to our site that was actually cute and clean. There is also a shower you can use on property. Our kid and an amazing time as well. I’m sure we will be booming here again! We were tent camping btw
