Perfect Fathers Day weekend

There are so many great things! Even though this property isn’t very far from the city, it feels like you are in the middle of the forest!
The campground:
They have lots of nicely placed flat areas for tents and trailers. They have a nice very earthy kitchen area with clean running water (not potable) and a grill for you to use. There is a “bear box” for your trash and food. I have been to this property about 10 times and have never had an issue with a bear. There is a traditional camp fire pit and a large metal spherical fire pit that it’s safe for all season use and puts out a lot of heat.
The lake:
The lake has a nice sized floating dock perfect for fishing or swimming. There are several types of boats, kayaks available for use there. The lake is full of largemouth bass and bluegill perfect for the kids to catch all day long.
The wildlife:
There are black tail deer, grey squirrels, skunks, raccoons, doves, robins, woodpeckers, blue jays, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles, and bears. ( we had no issues with bears).
We had about 10 kids 13 and under and they just ran around the whole 3 days and had a great time never asking for a phone or anything. The wild flowers this time of year are amazing, lots of colors all around you. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

I spent my 30th birthday with all 23 of my friends at this beautiful campsite that I have been planning for a year. Joseph has been amazing and super chill!! I’ve never been camping before and he has always answered every annoying question I had so I can prepare myself for this trip (so sorry for being annoying!)
My friends and I had so much fun here. Joseph told us reception is spotty but we all loved not being on our phones the whole weekend and truly got to spend quality time together.
Joseph made sure we found the campsite and met with us by the entrance before we drove in (super sweet!) gave us a tour, had extra propane tanks for us, extra firewood, also had generators with extra gas for the string lights he had up on his campsite. We brought a gas generator ourselves but the string broke LOL so his extra generators helped us pull through the remainder of the weekend!!! He also visited us from time to time to make sure we were alive and well hahaha. Our kitchen sink clogged up and Joseph came immediately to fix it for us on our last day. He’s super chill, didn’t rush us to check in or out at a certain time (we were so hungover the last day lolol)
We loved this so so much we are planning on coming back next year again for my 31st!
Also, we are avid drinking game players so thankfully I brought a couple LED battery stand lights to put near the fire pits while we played BP and Rage cage at night to see better.

This is the greatest camping site. From the outdoor kitchen to the private lake the amenities do stop. Joe was the host that was there for anything we needed but gave us all the privacy we wanted. I couldn’t ask for a better campsite. We will definitely be coming back!

Joseph and his family are truly amazing hosts. Super helpful, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire stay.
The area is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning lake and plenty of flat space for tents, which makes it perfect for both small and larger groups.
You can really feel how much care they put into the property. It’s one of those places that just works effortlessly for a great experience.
Highly recommend this spot, we’ll definitely be back!

We brought some boys up to camp at this property and they were in heaven. The setup is great - there is a camping kitchen with running water, lots of areas to camp, and the lake was a major hit - they were boating, fishing, swimming, and laying on the dock. They could roam around and feel independent I didn't have to wrory about encountering other campers, which is why we chose this spot. Our host was super helpful and attentive. He had the firepit all ready to go for us. It was clean, beautiful, and I would 100% recommend this spot.

I took a chance reserving this camp last minute after my original group camping plans fell through due to the Garnet Fire. Joe's camp instantly proved to be the best outcome for the weekend. There were about 20 people in our group and there's more than enough space to pitch a tent or car camp. There are clean bathrooms, a large outdoor kitchen area, picnic tables everywhere, a huge fire pit, and plenty of kayaks/floats to hang out on the lake. It's a great space for all groups and occasions. Joe was extremely hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed while we were there's. Thanks for sharing your space, Joe.

Camping with an entire Sports Team!

Took an entire Athletic Club here for a Team Retreat. Needless to say all 20 athletes loved camping here on Joseph’s Land. The private little lake, the shade provided by the trees, the amount of area to set up tents and camps, it was all absolutely perfect. The kids were over the moon when they saw the complimentary canoes and kayaks, and spend the majority of their 3 days fishing for Blue Gill and Bass (successfully I might add). As the sun set each night, Joseph came down to camp to check if we needed anything and then started up the amazing fire pit built near the main camp. The sites for camping are PLENTIFUL and are great for large groups or smaller groups. We loved how the two large camp sites had freshly built platforms. They were used for tents, games, and dinners. The lake is gorgeous, warm, and is deep enough that the lake fern only stays around the edge of the lake, the middle is perfect for swimming. In our case, we set up floating goals for water polo and played real games in the lake. Joseph was even kind enough to bring down some paddle boards so the coach of the team could referee the game. We could not have asked for more. We plan on coming up every year to this exact spot for our team retreats. THANK YOU JOSEPH!

It was a great spot! Less than a hour from Fresno but felt like you were in your own world!! Kids caught fish and had a blast fishing, swimming, and canoeing! The lake is awesome and the shade structure on the dock was perfect. Had a deer come down to lake to drink. The whole camp is set up great and with the BBQ and wood burning "Sphere" it was just perfect. (And they even provided all the wood you could ask for)
There were only about 12 of us but it could accommodate many more people comfortably. The 2 out houses were very clean and very convenient! Joe was a great host and even had one of his guys come check to see if they could do anything else for us. Was a great time!!

Tucked away at 4,600 feet this 100 acre private ranch is an absolute gem for family and friends looking to escape the city. Our kids went fishing crazy catching so many bluegill and a few bass (its catch and release)... Great BBQ/outdoor kitchen facilities with both gas an charcoal grills perfect for group meals. And there are plenty of camping spots. It was fun exploring around around the lake and property. This place is more than just a campsite its a whole private lakeside camping experience!

The camping spot was absolutely amazing! There’s a beautiful lake where you can swim and take out a boat, plus plenty of hiking trails and road trails all around. Joseph, the host, is an absolute legend—so helpful, attentive, and truly the best host I’ve ever met.
I highly recommend booking this place. Don’t overthink it—you’ll be amazed!

This camp was amazing. A few dads brought our sons for a fathers day camping trip and Mr Denham was an amazing host. From checking in on us to preparing the campsite and amenities, the experience was 11/10. The geographic makeup of the campground downwind from the pond kept the camp 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the forest. The toilet were spotless. The bbq was very nice. My 8 year old son fell in love with camping this weekend. After the sun went down, the camp ground cooled off. The fire pit was smokeless and very warm. All in all I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort and ease of use of this camp and will ABSOLUTELY be back.
