Beautiful 5 acres of nothing but views. It's named "The Slab" simply because that's what my family has always called it. I am currently testing this as a place for campers, so please leave feedback so it can be improved. Eventually, there will be a picnic table setup for campers, and designated open spots for more vehicles to park/ flat spots for more tents. There is running water available on the slab but I am in the middle of figuring something out how campers can utilize it. Stay tuned!

Halliday's liquor store is 10 minutes, with $5 pizza place (delicious!) / gas station 15 minutes away. There is even a nearby Landers thrift store and La Copine restaurant. Shooting area about 15 minutes away. I can list SO much more, but I'll let you come explore the hidden gems Landers has to offer. There is a firepit set up onsite for your convenience. If you want a place to getaway and enjoy the magic of the high desert, Cielito on Sunny Vista is the place. We're located north of Joshua Tree Village on 5 acres. The skies are dark, the stars are bright and all the stress of the city melts away.
We're approx. 10 min to downtown JT, 20 min from the west entrance of the National Park and only 10 min from the Integratron, which was built by ufologist George Van Tassel. Pioneertown is just to the (wild) west where you can take a stroll down Mane street, go to the famous Pappy and Harriet's or belly up to the bar at Red Dog.
Accommodations include Lucy, a 40' 1956 Paramount PanAm park model trailer with all original interior and some added modern comforts. When you enter, it's like stepping back in time! Lucy sleeps two adults and up to two kids on the sofa. There is also the option to add extra sleeping space (no bathroom) for up to 2 additional guests by booking Dessie, the yellow casita, as an add on to your booking. You will find this in the "Extras" when booking your stay.
We are dog friendly and encourage you to bring your fur babies!
Property includes all the necessary amenities (toilet, shower, cookware, dishes and utensils) as well as a kettle, pour over and French press for tea & coffee. You'll find a bag of Joshua Tree Coffee Co. beans and loose leaf tea in the pantry. There is also a picnic bench for outdoor dining, a shared BBQ, your own fire pit to enjoy when it's safe to do so and a shared pool for those hot summer nights.
As for me, your host, I previously had a weekend property that included 4 raw campsites. I love Joshua Tree so much that I sold that place and chose to buy a cabin so I could live here full-time. Now that I'm settled, I'm excited to host again. This place brings me so much peace and I enjoy sharing it with others.

Here you will find a beautifully restored original homestead cabin, with all of the comforts of home. The cabin will sleep 4 comfortably, or 6-7 if you move some stuff around. There's a mini split with heat and AC, an electric fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen and bath, a mini bunk room, a double size bed, and stackable twins.
The cabin opens up to a fully fenced compound with fun around every corner! Bounce on the vintage playground bouncers, swing on the swingset, rope a wooden steer, play horseshoes, or make a campfire. We also have a tiny playhouse, croquet, and bocce.
The large back patio features an outdoor kitchenette and bathroom complete with an outdoor shower and cowboy tub!
To the left you'll find the boxcar, a yellow dream. She's purdy on the inside with a loft bed and two twins, and dining table with chandelier.
To the right is Avion, the majestic silver bird. She is every bit original 1983 oak veneer nostalgia. Don't eat the glass grapes! Avion features a full kitchen and bath and sleeps 5.
Further over is Dolly the vintage Dalton tin can style trailer. She has no hook ups but there are battery lights and a clean double bed. Set a while on the dirt porch in the shell back chairs and reflect on life.
Shangri-La is family, pet, UFO, and kid friendly. Bring 'em all!
You will need to self clean this little slice of heaven. There are supplies in the closet and the outbuildings. You'll BYO sheets and towels to make up the beds and bathe, remember to take everything you brought with you, put back the key, and haul out your own trash.
The property is well outfitted with cooking supplies and a charcoal barbecue.

I have a very private campsite that is off grid. No power. No water. Bare bones minimal just a spot to pop a tent with wind and sun protection and a view. There’s an outhouse but the camping toilet that is provided is NOT maintained. Bring your own TP, camping bags and please leave clean for the next person. There’s a large deck to lounge and watch the sun rise or set. You can pitch a tent on the deck or on several cleared spots on the ground. JT national park is a 15 minute drive and there’s a corner mart nearby. You can use the trampoline, there’s a fire pit (bring your own firewood), and please bring your own camping chairs, water, toilet paper/wipes and you must dispose of your waste. Refunds not given for any mess other campers have left behind. Your fee covers a place to pop a tent with a view. Any issues you encounter I encourage you to report. 🌞🌵🏜️

Your private campsite offers a spacious area with a brand-new underground fire pit, a hammock station, and a picnic table that seats six. The pass-through driveway leads directly to your site off Sunway Drive. You’ll have 1.5 acres of land to enjoy, with plenty of room to roam and hike in the surrounding area.
You’ll have excellent cell service and a strong 5G connection, so phone calls and social media are no problem. Please be respectful of the grounds and exercise caution with campfires and smoking.
Guest Access:
There is only one way to access the site, so please follow the provided directions carefully. GPS may lead you to a route that is not vehicle-accessible. You will drive through a residential neighborhood before entering the forest property — please drive slowly and respectfully.
Other Things to Note:
Please pack out all trash. We do not provide bins to avoid attracting animals or scattering debris in the wind.
Important: You must have a self-contained toilet system and pack out all waste.
A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended, but standard cars and RVs up to 30 feet can access the site by driving slowly. Low-clearance sedans can also make it with care. Please know your vehicle’s limits.
Parking is available directly on the campsite, leading up the driveway.
We’re animal-friendly! Pets are welcome — just be sure to clean up after them to help keep the property beautiful.

We're approx. 10 min to downtown JT, 20 min from the west entrance of the National Park and only 10 min from the Integratron, which was built by ufologist George Van Tassel. Pioneertown is just to the (wild) west where you can take a stroll down Mane street, go to the famous Pappy and Harriet's or belly up to the bar at Red Dog.
Accommodations include Lucy, a 40' 1956 Paramount PanAm park model trailer with all original interior and some added modern comforts. When you enter, it's like stepping back in time! Lucy sleeps two adults and up to two kids on the sofa. There is also the option to add extra sleeping space (no bathroom) for up to 2 additional guests by booking Dessie, the yellow casita, as an add on to your booking. You will find this in the "Extras" when booking your stay.
We are dog friendly and encourage you to bring your fur babies!
Property includes all the necessary amenities (toilet, shower, cookware, dishes and utensils) as well as a kettle, pour over and French press for tea & coffee. You'll find a bag of Joshua Tree Coffee Co. beans and loose leaf tea in the pantry. There is also a picnic bench for outdoor dining, a shared BBQ, your own fire pit to enjoy when it's safe to do so and a shared pool for those hot summer nights.
As for me, your host, I previously had a weekend property that included 4 raw campsites. I love Joshua Tree so much that I sold that place and chose to buy a cabin so I could live here full-time. Further over is Dolly the vintage Dalton tin can style trailer. She has no hook ups but there are battery lights and a clean double bed. Set a while on the dirt porch in the shell back chairs and reflect on life.
Shangri-La is family, pet, UFO, and kid friendly. Bring 'em all!
You will need to self clean this little slice of heaven. There are supplies in the closet and the outbuildings. You'll BYO sheets and towels to make up the beds and bathe, remember to take everything you brought with you, put back the key, and haul out your own trash.

I have a very private campsite that is off grid. No power. No water. Bare bones minimal just a spot to pop a tent with wind and sun protection and a view. There’s an outhouse but the camping toilet that is provided is NOT maintained. Bring your own TP, camping bags and please leave clean for the next person. There’s a large deck to lounge and watch the sun rise or set. You can pitch a tent on the deck or on several cleared spots on the ground. JT national park is a 15 minute drive and there’s a corner mart nearby. You can use the trampoline, there’s a fire pit (bring your own firewood), and please bring your own camping chairs, water, toilet paper/wipes and you must dispose of your waste. Your private campsite offers a spacious area with a brand-new underground fire pit, a hammock station, and a picnic table that seats six. The pass-through driveway leads directly to your site off Sunway Drive. You’ll have 1.5 acres of land to enjoy, with plenty of room to roam and hike in the surrounding area.

Guest Access:
There is only one way to access the site, so please follow the provided directions carefully. GPS may lead you to a route that is not vehicle-accessible. You will drive through a residential neighborhood before entering the forest property — please drive slowly and respectfully.

Please pack out all trash. We do not provide bins to avoid attracting animals or scattering debris in the wind.
Important: You must have a self-contained toilet system and pack out all waste.
A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended, but standard cars and RVs up to 30 feet can access the site by driving slowly. Low-clearance sedans can also make it with care. Please know your vehicle’s limits.
Parking is available directly on the campsite, leading up the driveway.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mikael’s Desert Stargazer Cabin! The property was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly peaceful. Weekend Trip to Cielito on Sunny Vista
We loved staying in Winsome’s sweet vintage trailer! The interior is spacious and so comfy and thoughtfully designed - and it’s fully stocked with everything you could need plus a great bed! The location is great - convenient to Joshua Tree’s west entrance and attractions such as Noah Purifoy Museum - while feeling secluded enough for a retreat and incredible stargazing. Winsome was so quick to respond and extremely friendly and gracious - we were so happy with this stay!!

This Airstream was beautiful, very clean, with all the amenities you may need and even a few extras like local coffee, cold drinks and protein bars for our arrival, and even sweet "Camp Squish" patches as gifts. Cas and Brielle were friendly, easy to communicate with and responded quickly when we needed assistance. Lots of thought detail and care put into this property.
It was very windy while we were there (April) so we couldn't enjoy a fire but the deck, firepit and picnic table areas were perfect for enjoying meals when it was less windy. We had 4 people in our party so needed to use all beds in the camper. The bedroom (2 twin beds) was extremely cozy and comfortable. The fold out Airstream beds in the main cabin were a little stiff but we made due. All in all a really great spot.

1 night at Camp Squish Airstream - Joshua Tree
Was just the reset i needed in the midst of a two week road trip/festival hopping adventure i was on, close to town if needed but far away enough that you could see the stars clearly, as it was a moonless night i definitely got spoiled with how clear the constellations were to the naked eye. sunset and sunrise didn't disappoint either.
ill for sure be back and plan to stay longer to explore more of what the area has to offer.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The trailer was clean, quiet, and in a good location not far from Joshua Tree National Park. The hosts were very attentive and thoughtful. They provided some water, paper towels, and logs for the fire pit. For us, staying in a trailer felt much more comfortable than camping in a tent. We would definitely recommend this place.

My partner and I had a great time. Loved the seclusion, the view, the amenities. Charming, quirky decor. Comfy bed. Spacious bathroom. Hot water flowed nicely. The hot tub was great, we used it at night in ~55° weather and it was so soothing especially after hiking in Joshua Tree. AC was efficient too.
There is a bit of a distance between the amenities though. The sink, hot tub, and fire pit were all separate from the room. It made cooking and cleaning difficult for us. I recommend preparing only simple meals here, as the stove top is small and space is limited.
Overall, I recommend this place. The owner is friendly and fast-responding. If you’re looking for a private, relaxing getaway just a few minutes from Joshua Tree, this is the spot. The view of the desert is vast and unforgettable.

I was genuinely moved by the consistent service that Deborah offered me during my lodging at Deb’s Place. She strives to provide the best camping experiences for her guests. She provided me with additional information about a historical site in the immediate area of Yucca Valley namely Pioneer Town. It is truly a remarkable site preserving a bygone era of pioneer life in Yucca Valley.
I sincerely hope to return to Deb’s Place so that I can utilize it as a convenient location for traveling to and hiking on various trails at Joshua Tree National Park.
Deb’s Place provides an excellent site for exploring so many different places in San Bernardino County, California. I highly recommend that one take advantage of staying at Deb’s Place.

Deb’s Place has become one of our favorite escapes. We camped at sites 1 and 2 plus the schoolie. Deb truly wants you to enjoy your stay and we felt it in every little detail. This was our second time here, and we’ve already booked another trip with a whole new camping group.
Part of me doesn’t want this place to get too popular… but honestly, once people experience it, I know it’ll become everyone’s favorite camp spot.

This property was so beautiful and serene. As you drive in there is a little hill and on the other side is just the cabins and land as far as the eye can see. My daughters had fun exploring the property and my dog was in heaven! My family loved sitting in the hot tub under the stars. The host Serina was SO responsive and answered all questions right away. I would love to take my family back! We explored Joshua Tree during the day and loved the beauty of the desert.

3 nights at Kashmir - A Majestic Retreat
We had a great time at the property and everything worked as advertised. Really close to some fun outdoor activities (The Integratron, Giant Rock, as well as some fantastic restaurants for both lunch and dinner. Not only did we have great weather and stars, but we saw a variety of desert wildlife as well. The outdoor shower was a great feature and we would definitely not only return, but recommend to anyone who is looking for a weekend getaway out in the high desert.

Overview
About
The appropriately named "Giant Rock" is a stunning landmark to visit on the outskirts of Joshua Tree National Park. The 25,000 ton, 7 story high, granite stone was once sacred grounds to the local tribes. Currently Giant Rock is an infamous attraction in the area and a movement to revitalize the landmark is growing!
When to go
The ideal time to visit Giant Rock is during the cooler months from October to April, when the desert heat subsides and the clear skies illuminate the vast landscape. Summer months can be intensely hot, making daytime activities less comfortable.
Know before you go
- Check weather conditions before your visit, as temperatures can vary greatly between day and night.
- Wear appropriate footwear for hiking on uneven terrain and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.
- Be mindful of the local wildlife and maintain a safe distance at all times.
