Desert Stargazer Cabin
Such a quaint little place. It's perfect for someone who wants some quiet time outdoors but still want the comfort. My two fur babies also loved the land. They had so much fun just exploring and running all around.

Amazing property with beautiful amenities and a great host. Really recommend it for a peaceful getaway and exactly like the photos
We had a great time, the place was great and comfortable. Mikael was easier to get in contact with. I will definitely book again whenever we are in that area.
Great stay! It was very affordable but still felt luxe and modern. The whole place has a tranquil, Shangri-La vibe with Buddha decor. I loved the desert heat, and there were so many opportunities to bathe and shower.
At night, the hammock was amazing for stargazing. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything anyone could want (minus a microwave), and there's a really nice fire pit outside. We were lucky enough to find some leftover firewood from previous guests and had a blast. Everything was spotless and comfy.
The host was amazing—super sweet, made check-in a breeze, and gave us a ton of local tips. They let us know Uber Eats delivers to the site, gave us a forewarning about snakes in the shadows, and even hooked us up with a promo code ("Big Mike") for a local sushi place!
The only heads-up I'd give is that the site can be a little hard to find, and the kitchen exhaust fan hangs a bit low (even for someone 5'6"). Otherwise, I couldn't recommend it more!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Stargazer Cabin. It was quiet and very relaxing. The cabin had great amenities for the price including a jet tub, hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, shower. The only thing was that there were no curtains/ blinds on any of the windows and although there is a perimeter fence around the property blocking it from view from neighbors it still made me feel a bit vulnerable, especially in the bathroom. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Desert Stargazer Cabin
My dog and I had the best time at Mikael’s spot in the desert. My dog is fear reactive and noise sensitive. I booked this little cabin for the weekend of 4th of July and it was perfect. It was fully stocked with everything I needed and it was nice having the fenced yard for my dog. Mikael was kind enough to give me a TON of recommendations for her needs and even let me know if any last minute fireworks that may be popping off. The views at night were incredible. Highly recommend reading a book in the hammock. Overall a great experience and a great host. It’s a trip that I’ll remember forever.

My husband and I booked this for our one year wedding anniversary and it was perfect! The space was so nice and welcoming, we loved the open area outside w the hammock, fire pit + hot tub. Mike was a great host, very attentive and made everything go smoothly! We can’t wait to be back!! :)
Beautiful spot, feels very private because of the fence and neighbors are not very close by. Easy to find and had everything we needed!
We didn't see the host but he was very communicative and gave easy directions for getting in. Every thing was so clean.
Just know there are no curtains on the windows so when the sun comes up, you get up.
No one can see in the house though as there is a fence all around.
We enjoyed our stay at the Stargazer. There were plenty of stars to see. The place was very private and the view across the valley was beautiful. Outdoor jacuzzi was very nice.
The air conditioner kept the room cool. Overall, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and
we would recommend this place.

This was my partner and I’s second time staying at the Stargazer Cabin and we loved it just as much as we did the first time. Such a beautiful spot, couldn’t recommend it enough!
Such a lovely place! Second time there and surely not the last. Don’t hesitate it’s just really nice.
The Stargazer was an exceptional find. I will start with the host Mikael who provided a professional introduction and assisted in making recommendations for hikes, restaurants and things to do. The property was easily accessible and absolutely stunning. The hot tub was already on and ready for entry upon arrival. The place was well stocked and clean. There was only one other place I found on Hipcamp that matched the amenities I was looking for and this place was $150 cheaper, not to mention the owner gave me a military discount on top of that!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mikael’s Desert Stargazer Cabin! The property was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly peaceful. The jacuzzi was a highlight—perfect for relaxing under the stars. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up, making for a comfortable and memorable desert escape. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to future Hipcampers.
Can’t express enough how nice it was to stay here! My partner and I have traveled a lot together, and we both agree this is the best place we’ve stayed so far. Beautifully designed, super comfortable, and great amenities. It really has everything you want and need.
Such a lovely tastefully decorated Cabin, rustic meets fancy meets cozy. Loved all the detail on the landscape, the fully fenced yard for the dogs, the sunrise in the hot tub and the inside of the cabin. Everything was great and Mikael was easy to communicate with. Will def come again
Nice essential oils smell when we entered. Padlocked fence before entering the property, so felt safe. Good amenities. The hot tub was cold when we arrived and wasn't heating up, but that might have been a user error. Very responsive host, so I probably could have reached out and found a solution. The fridge had old food in it (cucumbers, opened drinks) but we didn't really care. The bathroom area was awesome. Loved the shower. The water took 10 minutes to heat up but then was hot after. Water pressure was pretty low. Wifi was strong. Enjoyed using the fire pit. The outdoor furniture on the patio was covered in dog hair, so we weren't able to use it. Overall a great stay!
Mike's property was a perfect spot for a solo getaway. The fully fenced yard and modern furnishings/amenities were a plus. The directions were spot on and communication was perfect. I will definitely be back!
Great location if you want to disconnect and enjoy some time to yourself and whomever you are with! The place was very. Lean, modern. Great time in the hot tub and around the fire. It was our dogs last trip and it was great to see him sniff around, enjoy the fire and just spend quality time. I would def have no problem recommending this property and host and/or re book this very property myself!

Beautiful place to spend a weekend amidst the stars
The place is beautiful, very private, peaceful, and dog-friendly. It’s also conveniently close to JTNP, which made it a perfect getaway.
We loved the house and the location, hot tub was awesome after our long hike.
We loved the Stargazer Cabin. And the fenced back yard had a super fire pit area. With bean bag chairs and a nice grill, too. Also, we drove out there in our Class C RV and they even had a 30-amp hook-up and water. Very nice surprise. We would definitely go back. We’re thinking of bringing our grandson because the property is very close to an OHV area that would be fun. All in all, it was pretty much perfect.
We loved our stay here. The spot feels incredibly private and peaceful, with wide-open desert views in every direction. The hot tub under the stars was a highlight, and the fire pit made our nights feel cozy and memorable. Everything was easy to access, clearly marked, and exactly as described. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet Joshua Tree escape.

I would absolutely recommend this peaceful retreat in the desert! Super beautiful and quiet location just 30 minutes from Joshua Tree. Loved the outdoor hot tub and fire pit. Cozy indoor space had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.
This property was perfect for a mini getaway. Lots of space with privacy for couples, while still being located close enough to JT. The decor is beautiful, and the little touches like room spray and bath products was nice. It was very clean as well. Peaceful :)

Mikael's place was perfect! Very clean, easy to access, and private and remote, all at the same time. We had gorgeous views of the Mojave Desert. The amenities were also great and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this if you want to visit Joshua Tree and are looking for a comfortable and clean place.
Incredible stay and host! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and Mike was responsive and accommodating during the whole experience.
