We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Camp #1 and set up our tent under a beautiful tree, which kept it nice and shaded. We arrived late, but Michelle was there to warmly greet us and show us around, making us feel welcome.
The weather was lovely, not too hot during the day, but it was quite windy, especially at night, so be sure to bring a warm blanket.
The campsite has a nice outdoor dining area, and we used the stove next beside the grill to cook lunch and dinner. We also enjoyed exploring the property, watching the sunset from the Hawk Lair area, relaxing under the trees, and taking a walk around Jamestown.
There is an above-ground pool and a fire pit, although we didn’t use them. Both looked clean and well maintained. The bathroom was also clean, and the property was peaceful. Waking up to the sounds of birds each morning made the experience even more relaxing.
Overall, this is a beautiful, quiet place to camp if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy nature.

I had a great time at the Gold Wall. The Flower cabin was comfortable and just right for a Solo rider. Patrick was very attentive to my needs and made sure I was enjoying myself in their unique property. Hot shower and flush toilet were a plus amenities.

We stayed here while visiting Yosemite for a few days and it was wonderful! Michele provided clear directions and was very communicative and helpful.

This site is at once quirky, playful and peaceful. All around great place to stay and we will definitely stay again if in the area. Patrick and Michele were lovely hosts and made us feel right at home. Amazing view of the lake - we spent a lot of time at the lookout and highly recommend. We were also lucky to be here on a weekend when the trains were running and got to take a ride!

Patrick and Michele are great hosts - I felt welcomed and comfortable on their property the moment I arrived. The amenities are glamping quality - a communal BBQ and TWO hot showers and flushing toilets. They were kind enough to supply toilet paper and clean towels as well. Please don't use your own; it must be septic friendly.
Their property is gorgeous with great views in all directions. Highly recommend watching the sunrise and sunset and their lookouts.
Many hawks, deer and friendly kitties to see!
*Note the two Hipcamps are in close proximity to each other as they share the communal BBQ and firepit. A great place to socialize with other campers, albeit close if you're looking for a more solitary stay.
I enjoyed my conversations with Patrick about his career in the Forest Service, Michele's feral cat colony endeavors and their visiting friend John, whom geeked out with me about backpacking gear.
Will be back for sure - happy camping.

We spent a week at Gold wall Ranch.It was the perfect location for access to the Gold wall for climbing. It was a quick walk from the top to climbing area.Teddy Bear cabin was a nice retreat to come home to. Very quiet with lots of wildlife.We enjoyed our stay.Thanks for having us.

Michele and Patrick were amazing hosts!
We had a welcome ride on the train out to the vista where we could see the property, the nearby New Melones Lake and amazing views up into the Sierras and Yosemite Valley! From arrival all the way through our stay - our hosts were communicative and helpful and made every accommodation to ensure we were safe, comfortable and welcome. We look forward to visiting again in the future and appreciate the memorable stay we had here this spring! Thanks again!

We had a lovely weekend at the Gold Wall Ranch. Michelle and Patrick were lovely hosts, we even got to see Patrick's band play at the local wine shop. The views were incredible and we got to see some beautiful wild life like deers and owls and the property is very well located to explore the cute towns of Jamestown, Sonora, as well as Lake New Mellones and Lake Don Pedro. We were the first guests of the season so the common grilling area wasn't quite ready for use yet, but we were still able to use our own cooking gear in the space.

I really enjoyed tent camping at Michele and Patrick’s vast property. Very accommodating and amazing sights as well as a wonderful train track that looks over the cliff.
I would definitely recommend campers to visit their land and enjoy the stars.
There is running water, a fully stocked bathroom, and it’s dog friendly! My puppy loved it.

I loved the stay at Michele’s ranch.
The views from the stay were amazing.

Great spot over looking the lake. We loved the view! The hosts were so hospitable and quick to respond. We had a tent pole break and they quickly got us tape to help fix. Great site!

This spot offers breathtaking views that honestly rival some national parks. Michele was incredibly warm and thoughtful — she had everything set up perfectly at the campsite. Walking along the old railroad tracks, you get to enjoy a variety of stunning landscapes — from cliffs and lakes to beautiful overlooks of Jamestown. The cabin was super cozy. It was my first time camping and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction!

Our family of 4 loved camping at Michele's property for Fourth of July weekend. Michele was super warm and inviting and there was plenty of space for everyone. The view of the lake and cliff was out of this world beautiful, it was one of our favorite family vacation by far.
