Most of our sites are best suited for those who plan to explore during the day and return in the evening, as they receive full sun and have limited shade throughout the midday hours (during the summer months). For those looking to hang around camp during the day, we recommend bringing a shade canopy or pop-up to make your stay more comfortable. The Merced Campsite offers the most privacy, tucked away into a grove of cedar, pine, and oak trees. This site is for tents and small campervans only - there is not enough flat space for a large RV at this spot. There are perfect trees to set up a hammock, a picnic table, and plenty of space for tents to set up. It is a three minute walk to the bathrooms and showers. The Bridalveil Falls deck across the road is available for Merced Campers as well to access the views!

Camp at the top of our hill overlooking the Tuolumne Canyon. Tenaya Camp (#9) has a purple picnic table, space for a tent or a small camper van, and incredible views. Please park near the Purple picnic table. Take the 2 minute trail down to the bath house to use our hot showers and bathrooms, or walk down the more gradual 3-4 minute walk on the road. Please be cautious - there is a steep cliffside canyon near this camp. Note: This camp is a up a short, steep gravel road, some vehicles (trailers, large RV's) may have trouble getting up this hill. Camp at the top of our hill overlooking the Tuolumne Canyon. Tioga Camp (#11) has a light-blue picnic table, space for a small camper van, and incredible views. Please park close to the Blue Picnic Table. Beyond your site is a private space on the property, please ask Marty if you want to visit this area. Take the 2 minute trail down to the bath house to use our hot showers and bathrooms, or walk down the more gradual 3-4 minute walk on the road. Please be cautious - there is a steep cliffside near this camp, for adventurers, a place to pitch a small tent. There is potable water near the site in a white Yeti Water Cooler. Come camp at our family-run river rafting company basecamp. We have been in operation for 50 years as a rafting business and we are excited to share the Tuolumne River Canyon views with you during your stay! This is convenient for groups that want to be close to electricity and the bath house. You can walk a short ways to look into the canyon. This is a convenient site for those staying in a van or camper. Located by our bathhouse with easy access to hot showers and flushing toilets, and access to wi-fi, this site has all of the amenities you may need during your stay. This site is only for those staying in a van, camper, or car. There is no spot to pitch a tent around this site, it is van only. This site is perfect for people who prefer to be a very short distance from restrooms and showers and would like to have wi-fi available right at camp. If you are looking to plug in electricity, please let us know so we can make sure we can accommodate you.  We are located 15 minutes' driving distance from the entrance to Yosemite National Park (note that between May 20 to September 30th you will need a reservation to get into Yosemite) and 15 minutes driving to the historic town of Groveland. Our campsites offer sweeping views of 4 waterfalls, vibrant sunrises and sunsets, three different river canyons, and a classic Sierra Nevada foothills ecosystem.  We are less than 5 minutes away from Rainbow Pools, a local swimming hole, and 5 minutes away from the Lucky Buck, a tasty diner. We are more than happy to give you suggestions on places to explore around Yosemite, Stanislaus National Forest, and Groveland.

Private site toward the top of the hill! Room for just one tent, wouldn't be great for a group - but wonderful, epic view of the mountains for sunrise and sunset, AND a waterfall! Wow. Can hear road noise and electrical lines, but we didn't mind at all. 25min to Yosemite entrance and <3min to Rainbow Pool. Crew working the rafting company on property was super warm and welcoming. Stay here!

Great site! Room in sandbox for 2-3 small tents. We just had 2, but with some shuffling you could squeeze 3 if you needed! this site is tucked away in the trees some, away from the edge of the hill so view is limited. The ONLY downsides of this HipCamp (as a whole) are the roadnoise (not too bad, just not silent if you want that) and the buzz of the electrical lines that run just above. Subtle, too, but there.

Such a great site! Everyone working the property was super friendly. We booked a couple sites for a birthday party and site 8 had great space for lots of chairs and a beautiful view of the mountains and sunset. Also, this place is <3min away from Rainbow Pool! Such a perfect place to cool down after our long hike.

This spot is great. Barely anyone around, I ran and walked by dogs up the dirt road repeatedly. Close to the road but you can’t hear it. You can see other campsites but they were far enough away that I still felt somewhat secluded. Water and electricity both in the site. I spent a lot of time here because I sadly got sick during my stay and found it to be a peaceful place to recover.

We had a great stay at Liza and Tom’s campsite and would definitely recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a convenient place to stay close to Yosemite. The views were absolutely amazing—the campsite overlooks a beautiful waterfall and rolling hills, making it a peaceful spot to relax. It was also very easy to find thanks to the clear directions and visible signage leading to the campsite. The bathrooms and showers were clean, modern, and well maintained, which made the stay even more comfortable. The location is another huge plus: it’s close to Yosemite and Highway 120, and only about a block from Rainbow Pool. Each campsite includes a picnic table with an umbrella for shade, and thoughtful amenities like towels, drinking water, and shampoo/body wash are provided. A few things to keep in mind: there is very little natural shade, so definitely bring a canopy if you’re camping during warm weather (the hosts do mention this in the listing). It also gets quite windy at night, so make sure your tent is securely staked down. The only real downside was the buzzing noise from the nearby power lines, which can be noticeable at night and may keep light sleepers awake. Overall, this is a fantastic campsite with beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and an excellent location. We’d absolutely recommend it for anyone wanting to stay close to Yosemite while enjoying a comfortable camping experience.

Really nice facilities for camping including hot showers and very nice bathrooms. It was easy to get water (cooler and a nice refill station at the river rafting facility at the entrance). Our site had a beautiful view of a waterfall and sunset and very little road noise even though the road was nearby. Each site has a picnic table with an umbrella, all in great shape and really clean. The propane fire pit was a really nice touch. We had a wonderful stay!

This campground is a true gem. We liked it so much we booked an extra night. The views were amazing. It was quiet and we could see/hear a nearby waterfall from our sight. The bathrooms and showers were nice too. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area

Liza and Tom's land is in a perfect location from Yosemite with a great view of a waterfall. The shower and bathroom facilities are great. Only thing I'd love to point out is that you are very close to major power lines. So if the buzzing bothers you, this would not be your place. But for others like me -- I think this campsite was excellent.

Stayed 3 nights on site #4. Bring a pop up canopy and a way to tie it down (wind gusts), there is no shade cover on this site. Location is clean. Water provided by cooler located near site. No power. Bathrooms are fabulous. Hwy noise is noticeable as well as sound from electrical wires nearby but otherwise very enjoyable stay. Exactly 15min from the West gate entrance to Yosemite and 1 hour to Yosemite Valley. Would stay here again.

This was the perfect place for us to set up camp and go to Yosemite. It’s about 15 minutes from the park entrance and about an hour beautiful and scenic drive to the valley. The bathrooms are super clean and they even had showers that were nicely tiled and had super hot water. The view from camp 8 was awesome and included a waterfall, cattle ranch, and starry night sky. Definitely recommend!

We loved tent camping at this campsite. The spot was at the top of a small hill and you could see the valleys and neighboring hills. It made for some spectacular sunsets! We appreciated the water cooler and port-a-poty so we didn’t have to walk all the way down to the bathroom each day. The bathroom and showers were clean and functional!
