Welcome to Yosemite Colfax Spring! Home to a basecamp for river rafting trips during the summertime, we are located 15 minutes driving distance to the entrance to Yosemite National Park. If you are staying with us between May - September and want to come rafting, ask us about our river trips! Our camp sits on a ridge with views down into the Tuolumne River Canyon. The Tuolumne River begins at 13,000 feet of elevation in the High Country of Tuolumne Meadows and provides drinking water for over 2.7 million people in San Francisco. With cedar and pine trees, manzanita bushes, and wildflowers in the spring, enjoy the Sierras' flora and fauna. Our family has been operating our river rafting company for over 50 years, the last 11 of those years being here at Colfax Spring. Conveniently located off Highway 120, we are in close proximity to swimming holes, hikes, and more. Enjoy the privacy of our campsite and getting world-class views to yourself, with all of the amenities (flushing toilets, wi-fi, showers.) Make sure to check the Yosemite National Park website for information about reservations to visit the park!

Great Bathrooms, Friendly Hosts
Love how easy this Hipcamp was to accessing Yosemite (~20 min to the North Entrance). And let's talk about how clean the bathrooms, sinks and showers were - it felt luxurious. The hosts were super friendly and provided us with the option to add propane campfires. The views are top notch - the ones up top give you a killer view of a waterfall too!

Incredible views
This site is incredibly beautiful. You have an area all to yourself with the most spectacular sunsets and views. The toilet/shower facilities are clean and provide you with clean towels. The staff at Sierra Mac are super friendly and could not do enough for us. Special shout out to Marty, what a great guy! Not too far away is Rainbow Pools, this is a must visit! Directions to the camp spot were excellent and all communications with Liza were first class with quick responses. I would 100% recommend and we very much hope to revisit in the future. Thank you for a great experience.

Incredible Views
Liza and Tom were great hosts and the campsite was in a location with stunning views. Our site felt like it had privacy and was well maintained and cleared. Amenities like water/bathrooms/showers were not far and the only view better than the sunset from our site was the sunrise. Our hosts communicated clearly and proactively. This was our favorite campsite on our trip.

Book it. Clean and beautiful
By far the best campsite we have been to. We were lucky enough to get the perfect view of the falls and sunset. Showers were spacious and bathrooms were clean. Also, the older gentlemen at the campground was so nice and lent us a power bank and lighter. We will be back!
