Aimed at providing a comfortable, convenient and safe facility for tourists to spend the night and refresh, Scottie's Motofarm boasts multiple lush green lawns for tent camping, many shade trees, clean and civilized indoor toilet facilities with a locking door, free wifi, a private walk-in shower/changing room large enough for two people with a locking door, outlets for phone charging, laundry washing machine (no dryer) and kitchen food prep area with fridge. Propane and briquette BBQ, fire pit, city water safe for drinking, plenty of parking. We are conveniently located on Route 4 so campers should expect some noise, however the road quiets down around at night and -- except for the occasional loud vehicle -- it gets pretty serene here during the star gazing hours! The tent camping area is fenced and we have not had any bears on the property, but we do have a few shy farm cats and the occasional racoon. For this reason, we ask all campers to be mindful about storing food and disposing of trash in the provided bins. The ranch is comprised of the camping lawns, camping facilities, several homes on the property (two Air BnB and the owner's home) and the motorcycle workshop. Car and RV campers are welcomed and there is plenty of car/RV parking on the asphalt lot outside the fence at the East Side of the property near the mailboxes at the intersection of Rte 4 and Brice Station Road. Our grassy lawn tent area is inaccessible to vehicles and RVs. Our parking area is adjacent to the highway and may not be what rooftop and van/rv campers are expecting in terms of a peaceful camping experience. If you have tent, it’s recommended to camp out on the lawn. We have tents for rent if you need one.

Aimed at serving travelers, tourists and adventurers for overnight camping, the Grassy Lawn Camp features plush lawns for tent camping, shade trees, indoor clean and private modern toilet, private indoor shower/changing room, clothes washer (no dryer), camp kitchen with fridge, hot and cold running Calaveras county water (safe for drinking), propane and briquette cooktop burners/grill/BBQ/Smoker, firepit and plenty of parking. No cars, vans or RVs on the lawns, please--we can accommodate smaller RVs (less than 24') and vans on our upper parking lot--no hookups. The parking lot is adjacent to the road and is not ideal for rooftop tenting. Our property is located on Rte 4 Ebetts Pass highway in the heart of wine country, minutes from Big Trees Park and skiing at Bear Valley and campers should expect road sounds. Free wifi. We are 3 miles from Murphys CA. To use the smoker or fire pit, campers to bring their own wood and/or briquettes; clothes washer is free (bring your own detergent). Free wifi. Our campsite is aimed at serving motorcyclist tent campers. All other campers are welcomed. RVs can sometimes be accommodated but are not our specialty. This was a same-day booking for me, as there were no other accommodations in the area. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend. However, it might still be suitable for others. The location was convenient, as it’s literally right off the highway. But the constant noise of cars, trucks, and motorcycles passing by made it difficult to sleep or wake up peacefully. The grassy area was spacious, but it was covered in gnats, spiders, and other small creatures, including frogs. I’m used to camping, but this was just a bit too much for the location. I’ve never had so many spiders inside my tent before. The bathroom and kitchen areas were in poor condition and dirty. I even saw the largest cockroach I’ve ever seen outside the kitchen. There’s a refrigerator in the kitchen, but it’s probably not mentioned because of its condition. The campground felt more like a hostel than a family camping spot. I wouldn’t recommend it for families with young children, like mine (6 and 3 years old). The land needs some TLC to justify the nightly cost. There were water hoses everywhere, unfortunately my daughter tripped over one. There was one round table with four chairs and three different groups of campers. Family campsites usually have a picnic table for each group. The house where we were camping was rented out through Airbnb, so it felt like backyard camping, but with random people everywhere. On the positive side, the communication was great. They responded to my quest

The grass is green and Lush which made it really soft to pitch a tent. There was a nice sitting area with tables and chairs for lots of people. A full gas tank for cooking and a nice fire pit. Warm water in the shower and lots of amenities in the kitchenette.

Scottie and the crew are super nice guys! There are several tent areas, which is nice if there are other guests around. Kitchen stove and grill are awesome to have at the campground. To fully enjoy your stay you should bring (or ask Scottie) for earplugs , since there are some cars driving at night. And ask for WiFi password before arriving, in case if no one is around, since phone internet isn’t available here (closest reception is about 4 miles downhill)

Camped with our Truck camper. They are more set up for motorcycle camping, but they accommodated us Located across highway from Brice Station Winery. Booked weekend music event at Brice, listened to music and walked down hill to our camper. No hookups, but greatly appreciated the bathroom and clean shower.

The spot is as-described- nice amenities and close to Brice station winery for catching a show. Nice relaxing spot with plenty of lounge chairs around, a clean bathroom, nice camp kitchen.

Very conveniently located and easy to get around being right next to the highway. Of course it means it’s not quiet and pitch black at night, but that was a good fit for our beginner camper children. The people we met while on the property (workers and residents) are all friendly and kept our camp site secure.

I had a wonderful experience at this location, which is conveniently close to Murphys. The spacious lawns are perfect for pitching a tent, and the shaded, illuminated pergola with tables and chairs offers a lovely outdoor gathering spot. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, including a fridge, making meal prep a breeze. The recently remodeled bathroom features a warm shower, which is just what you need after a long day of riding motorcycles. The pricing is very reasonable, and the owner is nice and responsive, answering messages quickly. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.

This is a great option if you’re arriving late and just need a place to pitch a tent/ leave early the next morning. Clean shower, bathroom and kitchen. Just know this is right off hwy 4 so there is traffic noise.

Scottie’s place is nothing fancy, but it’s everything you need! Super centrally located to Murphys and Calaveras Big Trees. There is also a winery across the street that had live music in the evening, and we could walk to it! Scottie and his wife were both super nice and accommodating.

Very easy to get to. Scottie and his wife were so accommodating. Camping on the lawn was great. Easy access to bathroom, shower and even a mini kitchen. The location is perfect to visit Murphys and Arnold. Walking distance to a winery. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay another night. We definitely plan to stay here again.
