Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The Eagles' Nest Treehouse (mentioned above) is very isolated and you may or may not even be aware that there are other people within miles of you. For those who value nature, seclusion, quiet and the artistry of old growth redwood, this is the place for you.

Redwood Camp #1
Wonderful location and campsites. Campsites are spaced out well so that they are somewhat secluded from one-another. Beautiful creek and redwoods. Will definitely return!

Creekside Camp #2
A wonderful spot!
This place was really nice, very pleasant, magical. It's quite close to the road, but it's very near the end of a long and winding road with no outlet, so there's hardly any traffic after dinner time, and no traffic at all at night. There's a fire ring with a swiveling grate. We stayed at site #2 and that grate doesn't swivel very easily, but it worked well enough, about the same as you'd find in a state park or something. Also a picnic table and plenty of flat area to set up a large tent. They also provided a fire extinguisher, shovel, and metal ash bucket, which was better than any state park I've ever stayed at. There's a porta-potty nearby, but no running water. Salmon creek is very near by, near enough we could hear the water running at night, very pleasant, but we didn't get bothered at all by mosquitos or bugs. If we'd have brought a water filter we could have gotten water from the creek. At night the stars were bright, and there was absolutely no visible light source anywhere in view except the stars. It felt perfectly peaceful, private and secluded. All in all a wonderful spot, would return.

Creekside Camp #2
Will be back again!
This is an amazing piece of property. The location is AAA+++. The owners and super nice and really want to share their special spot in CA. There are two camp areas. We were in Creekside. It was nice, but I think the Redwood campground is better. The hiking around the property is awesome. Bodega and Bodega Bay plus Hwy 1 north are must see. Pro-tip, don't confuse the town of Bodega with Bodega Bay, especially when reading their directions regarding the post office! lol. The price is healthy, but the quality is there. Don't hesitate.

Redwood Camp #2
Happy Campers
What a lovely camping trip! Redwood Camp #2 is located in a meadow. The fire pit and picnic table are at the edge of the meadow in full sun, the tent area is in a redwood grove with plenty of privacy and shade. Our dogs loved running around in the meadow and lazying in the sunshine. There are plenty if trails to explore with LOTS of elevation. We stopped by the Mercantile on our way in for some ground beef, sausage and duck eggs that made for some delicious meals during our stay. John & Lesley were kind, hospitable, and generous to share their land. We're looking forward to coming back to check out Redwood Camp #3.
