Finley Camp is nestled along Finley Creek in West Sonoma County. Campsites are located in open flats surrounded by Coast Doug Fir, Alder, and California Bay forests. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, and access to a porta potty and hand washing station. The campsites are located past the end of the county road allowing for a quiet peaceful experience. Enjoy a quiet stroll on site, the surrounding communities of Bodega, Bodega Bay, Valley Ford, and Tomales, or just enjoy a quiet day in camp. Our sites are located approximately 20 minutes from Bodega Bay. The campsites are 2.5 miles from the coast and the weather can be unpredictable. As a general rule, it is very similar to that of San Francisco. All camp sites are situated in a valley that offers protection from the coastal winds. The have both morning and evening shade. Sites #2, #6, #7, and #11 have the most space, while sites #4, #7, #8, #9 and #11 offer the most privacy. Sites 1-3, any combination of 5-7, and 12-13 are well suited for groups. Other site groupings work well depending on the number of sites being reserved. Site #8 is unique in that it has a wood deck/platform for tents. There are also NO wood fires allowed at site #8 as it is under the tree canopy. A propane firepit is provided for your use. You can bring a 5 gallon propane tank from home, or a full one is available for rent on site. Well behaved dogs are welcome at Finley Camp. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times while on the property. There are no exceptions to this. Finley Camp is located on an active cattle ranch and directly adjacent to a neighboring ranch with cattle. Also be sure to check out our orchard tours! The apples are ripe now and our verities will continue to ripen thru late November. We'll take you to our family orchard where you can pick apples, pears, or blueberries in season and taste yummy treats out of our family garden.

Site #4 offers more privacy than some of our other sites and has a mix of sun and shade. This site is better suited for tents and possibly a very small trailer as there isn't as large of a level area as some of our other sites have. Site #4 has a wood firepit with cooking grate and a picnic table.

Site #7 is at the end of a meadow and has lots of room to spread out. There are ample shady and sunny areas. There is a picnic table, firepit with swing cooking grate, and level spots for vehicles and tents. This site is approximately 200 feet from the restrooms and from Site #6.

Site #11 is one of our most private sites. It is in an area by itself, approximately 300 feet from site #10. This site receives more shade than many and shades early in the afternoon. While it is private, it is only a short walk to the restrooms. There is a picnic table, firepit with cooking grate, and flat areas for tents, a camper van, or a small trailer.

Site # 1 is nestled in against some large rocks and small willow trees. It will accommodate a small RV or camper and has space for several tents. There is a wood fire pit with a grate for grilling food over the fire and a picnic bench. Site # 1 is approximately 150 feet from site #3 and 125 feet from Site #2. This site has lots of morning and afternoon shade.

Site #6 is situated alongside a meadow. There is a picnic table, firepit with swing cooking grate, along with level spots for vehicles and a level grassy spot for tents. There is a large space in front of the campsite that can be used to kick a soccer ball or throw a frisbee. This site is relatively close to the restrooms, which are directly across from the campsite.

While this site is relatively close to another campsite, the two sites are removed from the remainder of our campsites and would make a good group site with lots of privacy. This site will accommodate tents and possibly a campervan. It is not well suited for trailers or RV's, but could accommodate a small one. This site is relatively shaded with some midday sun. There is a wood fire pit and picnic table at this site. along with a level spot to pitch a tent.

Site #9 is on the uphill side of our drive. It is in an area by itself but will have the occasional vehicle pass by it as there are two campsites further down the drive. This site has a gravel surface and has several levels. There is a level for parking vehicles, a level with the firepit and picnic table, and then a level up a set of stairs for tents.

Site 8 - Finley Camp

Site #8 is tucked into the woods beside the driveway that leads to the other sites. There is a large deck (13' x 24') for you to place your tent or lay out your bedroll. This site will accommodate tents, a campervan, or possibly a very small trailer. As this site is under the tree canopy, NO wood fires will be allowed. A gas firepit is provided at the site. You can bring a propane cylinder from home similar to what is used for a gas barbeque or rent a filled propane cylinder on site. This site is private in that it is in an area by itself, but you will be able to see other campers across the drive in the meadow below. There is a strict two car limit at Site #8.

Site 11 - Finley Camp
Finley Camp was a perfect getaway. Daniel’s land is beautiful, sites are well maintained, the scenery is serene. Great place to relax, hang out, and unwind. It feels far away from everything (in a good way), but it’s really a short, 15 minute drive to the Town of Bodega, 20+ minutes from the coast and all the great seafood spots. I’d recommend stopping by Bodega Bay Oyster Co on the way in for a bag of grab n go oysters (and everything you need to enjoy them) and local beers, or a quick bite at the restaurant. Site 11 was huge and tucked away. Hardly anyone here on Easter weekend so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. All the sites are spaced out well, so you can be near people if you want to rent a few and do a family camp, but not so near that you’re on top of each other. We had a great time, the pups loved it and we’ll definitely be back.

Daniel's property is gorgeous and we loved site 11 tucked into it's own nook, far enough aways from everyone else to feel cozy. The frogs, owls, and cow neighbors sounded so soothing. The porta potties are clean and the hand washing station is an added bonus. Follow the directions on hipcamp for sure! We'd definitely come back. Such a great location in the woods and close to the coast. Be sure to check out old growth tree grove 15 mins north.

We loved camping here and would definitely come back! Very beautiful, spacious, quiet, comfortable. Camped at site 7. Good natural tree barriers in between groups of campsites. 5-7 were in the same area, but plenty of space for each individual campsite and would be perfect for a big group to book the 3 sites (what we’re planning to do next time!). We came on a Friday night and no other campers were there so it was very quiet in sincere. Many other campers came Saturday morning, but the campsites being spaced out helped with the noise. Long narrow road coming from the main road, but Daniel’s directions were very clear. We went early November so it was a bit wet but not a bad thing because it made everything super green and beautiful. We liked that we could hear the sound of the creek at night. There was an option to buy wood onsite and Venmo Daniel, but with there being minimal service, we had to Venmo him after our stay. Porta potty was very clean and had toilet paper. No negatives about the space, we loved it and we are definitely coming back!!!

Awesome. Secluded, and pretty. No cell service but thats whats amazing about it. . They left the wood i bought at my site for me when I arrived. Awesome. Thanks. I didn't see a single person. Just me my dog and some food whiskey and fire. It was really great. . Thanks for letting me stay

This is my second time camping here and it was just as amazing as the first time, even with the little bit of rain we had the weekend was perfect, the campgrounds are super nice to hike around and explore a little bit, we will definitely be coming back!!!

It was a quiet relaxing weekend for us. We arrived as it got dark so it was nice to have our firewood delivered to our campsite. We were able to start our campfire right away. Directions were super clear. The unpaved roads were OK for my 2WD car. Porta-potty was clean. The other people camping in our open field were respectful of quiet time. No craziness happening at the other sites either. The drive to the town of Bodega, Wild Flour Bread or Bodega Bay was easy. We’re talking about coming back again. It’s far enough to feel like we took a camping break, but close enough to get home in an hour or so. Daniel is an excellent host and good with communication. $95/night for camping with peace of mind is worth it!!

Perfect location to explore Bodega Bay and coastal areas. Super clean portable toilet, nicely designed camping areas with picnic table and fire pit. Price was a bit high perhaps for just these amenities. Lovely time was had, until truck interrupted our breakfast before leaving to come clean porta potty. Enjoyed the cows coming down to pasture before driving away. Would stay again.

I was very glad to have arrived during day light! Clean porta potties - no really… nice camp set up, fire ring, and very ready to burn firewood. Ordered firewood ahead of time and it was delivered to my site. Receive timely communication for camping. Plenty of space also between camp site - other spaces - and porta potty.

Our group of five had such a wonderful experience at campsite 3! The big clearing that hosts sites 1-3 has plenty of space between each site so that you do not feel crowded. You’re nestled in a valley with protection from wind. The campfire amenities were wonderful, really appreciated having a shovel and water for the fire. We felt so secluded and had no problem fitting our cars and tents with space to spare.

This was a great campground and site for tent camping. The sites are large, the land is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. Daniel and his family are incredibly inviting. They took us on a tour of their apple orchard and we picked delicious apples. Our 5 yo son had a blast! Would definitely return.

Finley camp was a ton of fun, very peaceful and welcoming. Camp site was clean and well maintained, and the nearby porta-pottys were also quite clean. Plenty of nice places to walk, great place to bring a pet. I camped at site 1, be aware that sites 1,2,3 are all fairly close so you will hear and see your fellow campers, not a big deal for me but if you want isolation or quiet you might want one of the other sites.

Camping at Finley was great, my son and I went for an overnight trip and stayed at site 4, which was very isolated from the other sites. There was a picnic table, fire ring, and plenty of flat ground to pitch our tent. Daniel provided a 5 gallon carboy for extinguishing the fire, which was very helpful at the end of our night. We are definitely looking forward to booking another camping trip here!
