The property is located east of Occidental in a unique "banana belt" along the USDA 9a/9b climate zones, inside the "Green Valley" Sonoma wine appellation, on a quintessential country lane. Originally settled and farmed in the early 1900's by a family of Italian immigrants, from whom the lane is named after. Several decades later the land was subdivided. My parents purchased a 5-acre parcel in the early 1970's, and began homesteading. Fifty years later we are now three generations on the same land. One acre is our family compound, two acres are forest preserve, and the other two acres are orchard - where the camp sites have been integrated. The orchard has many different fruit trees including heritage Gravenstein apples that were originally planted by family from Italy. They are ripe between mid July to mid August. The orchard borders a forest with old growth Redwoods, Douglas Fir, Bay Laurel, Oaks, and Madrone. Some wildlife passes through the orchard, especially birds. The site offers great star gazing, sun rises, moon rises and access to a charming walk on a beautiful country lane for sunsets. Walking distance to Occidental, and a twenty minute drive to the beaches of the Sonoma Coast and the Russian River. A great location to explore and enjoy nearby small towns, wineries, dairies, hiking, bicyling, surfing, kayaking, and farmers markets... or just relax at the site, make a picnic and bask in the serenity.

Site 2 - Orchard Paradise in Wine Country

Quiet, Peaceful Camping

This was our third stay at Rancho Laslendini. We enjoy how quiet it is as well as the wildlife that wanders onto the property, deer, quail, hawks, blue jays, owls and more…. Only about a 25 minute drive to Shell and Wrights Beaches. Five minute drive to Occidental for amazing food at Hazel. We highly recommend Rancho Laslendini!

Site 1 - Orchard Paradise in Wine Country

Perfect getaway in Northern Cal

This was a perfect first Hipcamp experience for us in our 27 foot Airstream. Our family really enjoyed spending the 4th of July weekend here. The site was very peaceful and quiet, level and private. Kayaking on the Russian River and Zipline tours are all within 20 mins. All questions and communication were quickly answered. We will make sure to come back. Tip for site 1: If you back in, the utilities are on the other side vs. normal and I would recommend a 50 foot RV 30 amp cord to reach.

Site 1 - Orchard Paradise in Wine Country

Beautiful, quiet secluded spot, overlooking the orchard. Will say that with our 29’ trailer it was extremely tight navigating to site 1 between the trees. However I’m fairly new to reversing a trailer, so someone more experienced might not have the same issue. Also in site 1, you may need 50’ water or power connections depending on where you setup.

Romantic Boutique Style

This campsite is very well maintained. It was quiet, clean, and had a romantic feeling about it. I would recommend for future guests. You can take a nice sunset walk down the road and pick wild blackberries, look at apple orchards when they are in harvest, and listen to nature. Overall great site.

Site 2 - Orchard Paradise in Wine Country

Joseph’s land is private, peaceful and absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful 2 night stay. It was easy to find and the spaces are nicely marked. It was nice to have electric and water at the site. There was lots of wildlife too. So many birds, lots of quail and babies. We also saw deer. If you are looking for a quick getaway or a base camp, this is the spot.

Site 3 - Orchard Paradise in Wine Country

Camping with dogs

Such a beautiful site. Quiet and peaceful but also close to lots of amazing places to visit. The river 20 mins away was definitely my dogs favorite. The host is very responsive to questions, within a few minutes which was also great.
