Jonah is awesome! He's the most kind and helpful host I've ever met. This spot was perfect for our crew to take over the whole 3 spots on the farm. We will be back!

We were hoping for a quiet rural escape, but this listing didn't quite match the photos or description. The setting is a suburban backyard — neighboring houses are clearly visible from the camping area, and there's no real privacy between sites or from the owner's on-site RV. The shared cooking area is essentially the RV's patio, which felt more intimate than expected.
The property also has some ongoing construction — partial foundations, heavy equipment, and building materials fill the driveway, which you'll need to navigate at night to reach the portable toilet (located near the RV). A large slightly dilapidated garage is also on site. If you're picturing a bucolic farm setting, note that while there are grapevines across the road, the surroundings are decidedly suburban.
That said, the host was genuinely warm and responsive. If you just need a convenient place to stop for the night and aren't expecting a polished outdoor experience, it may suit you fine. We ultimately chose not to stay, but that's a personal call based on what you're looking for. We'd recommend reading recent reviews and looking at all the photos carefully (which paint a rosier picture than our experience) before booking.

Jonah was super friendly and helpful both prior to and upon arrival helping me find the best spot and showng me where things are and amswering any questions. The provided porta toilet was clean and close by, too. The location was perfect for what I needed on my trip north, a short but beautiful jaunt off my main path, and was friendly to our dogs, though beware the relative lack of fencing if your dog likes to wander far! Thanks, Jonah! I'll be back!

Jonah is very kind and friendly but for the price per night it would be nice to clearly designate each site to avoid confusion, add a handwashing station at the porta potty, clean off the chairs, tables, and bbq before guests arrive. The only source of water is bright orange apparently from iron in the well water but it definitely would not be good for a hookup as is stated in the site description.

Jonah was so friendly and inviting. He is a wealth of knowledge and was so nice to connect with. The property is in a great location for visiting the surrounding towns and there are tables and chairs to make your stay more comfortable. Thank you Jonah!

It was an okay place to car camp, but not worth the price. The host is friendly and knowledgable of the area, but the condition of the advertised amenities does not match the description. Much can be done to improve the camper’s experience.

Great stay on Jonah’s property. Beautiful meadow with view over the hills.. Jonah is super accommodating and easy to communicate. Just a short drive to “downtown” Occidental, great hiking close by. We will be back!

I came into the area for a wedding and the site was great for a quick stay. Jonah was really kind to help me get settled even though I came in pretty late, after the wedding.

Had a peaceful solo stay in my camper van at Jonah’s spot. The property is quiet and grounding, and once we connected, Jonah was kind and welcoming. I appreciated the space to do my own thing and felt safe and supported throughout. Would return!

We had a great overnight at Jonah’s! We were struggling to find a place to stay on July 4th that was 1. On our way down the coast and 2. Wasn’t unbelievably expensive because of the holiday, and Jonah’s worked out great! He was incredibly welcoming and you could tell he wanted us to have a nice stay.
Jonah’s isn't a place where you’ll have complete privacy, but we knew that going in. There were two other groups of campers staying and we were all in the same area and able to see one another, this wasn’t an issue for us and everyone was very respectful, quiet, and friendly. Getting there google took us down a very steep and windy road, so if you have a longer camping setup / trailer be aware of the route you take - this wasn’t a Jonah issue but a google one, but wanted to share!

Occidental At Its Best!
I loved tent camping on Jonah’s land. He was right there to greet me upon arrival to give me the low-down. I went up with my dog to get away from the July 4th activities which are intense where I live. The land and surrounding area is gorgeous. I took my dog on a long walk along the roads before sunset. We spotted a coyote roaming about just before turning in for the night, but it wasn’t threatening at all. There were other campers while I was there as well, which was nice.
I felt safe which is paramount as a single woman.

Had a wonderful stay. Jonah was super friendly and easy to contact if I needed help or ask questions. The property wasn't pristinly manicured, but I don't find that important, location is everything and that part was great! It was affordable in an area that lodging is scarce and expensive. Occidental is a magical town filled with incredible people.
We ended up arriving after dark and Jonah helped us get set up quickly. He even made us literally the best cup of coffee as we were packing up to leave!

A place to put our tent in beautiful Occidental. There was a nice view of the mountains from our spot and the huge bottlebrush bushes were in bloom.

An easy place to car camp overnight, close to Occidental, Sebastopol, and Santa Rosa. I didn't try any of the amenities, but appreciated the offer of electricity.

It was not at all like the pics. There was a fire burn area and not a fire pit. The chairs were gross, i would not even think of sitting on them. No views, a terrible looking trailer on site. No tables or the tables that were out there where disgusting. I would not even want to put my table cloth on them.
We left and they offered NO refund at all. It was just a terrible experience.

Fall at Love Family Farm is lovely. The vineyards and trees are showing off their beautiful colors. It is a peaceful location that was great for our day trips to Bodega Bay for crabbing then back for quiet and restful evenings.

We loved our short stay at Jonah’s RV site. After a warm welcome and grand tour of the premises we had a great evening under the stars (milky way was visible!). Ideally situated as a first stop from SF when heading north.

Everything with this site was straight forward and exactly as advertised. Jonah has a nice outdoor kitchen set up and the land is in a quiet, beautiful area. Great access to the Russian River, the coast, etc. Jonah was a very easy host to work with and good communicator.
