Check in was simple, camp site was easy to find and plenty of room as there was only one other camper there for our nights. Field is very open with no cover so privacy is difficult but if you have a van or caravan it won’t be a problem, also an issue if the weather turns bad. Fires allowed and the neighbours are goats, sheep and horses

Absolutely beautiful creek to kayak in. Beautiful views to green paddocks with cows grazing across the creek from camp sites. Flat camp sites and hot shower and flushing toilet. Large open space for kids to run and burn off energy. Lovely community, great local pub and efficient and friendly communication with host.

My family and I had a great weekend at this spot along the river. The cows in the nearby paddock were a hit with the kids and so were the free kayaks!

Creekside Camping - Platypus Cove
Pros; very well maintained and smart designed grounds, very easy access to drive through with a caravan, huge fire pits at each site with a site number, beautiful view. Large sites so you are not camping on top of each other.
Cons; there is no signage at all and no contact number to call for guidence once booking is made, I arrived at a 2 story house which I spent 5 mins yelling anyone home, finally a lady came out and confirmed I was at the right location and she showed me to my site.
Cows roam throughout the campsites which is an issue if you have dogs like mine that bark full on if they see any cows, plus I have seen other caravans get damaged when the cows rub against a caravan at other working cattle farms. Finally it was nice to have a fire at night but unfortunately you get traffic noise especially big trucks pass over a near by bridge which kind of kills the peace and quiet I was looking for.

We loved setting up our caravan here! It was so peaceful and relaxing being right by the creek and still so close to town. Toilets and showers were kept clean and grass is kept low. Would definitely recommend staying here

Peaceful location. Creek is nice with the complimentary kayaks. Big flat open spaces. Flushing toilets and hot showers. Plenty of open space. Not a lot of trees for shade if you rely on it.

Creekside Camping - Platypus Cove
We arrived on Easter Monday so everyone had gone home and we had a delightful patch on the creek near a fireplace. It was idyllic as it was such a clear day. I had a little paddle in the creek which was very nice. Didn’t go far as I need a back support (old age). I bought a sizeable bag of wood at the pub for $17. It was pretty substantial. Didn’t see or hear anyone else. My missus assures me that the loos were in good order. Recommend it

Not too far from the pub! Walking distance.
Campsite has toilets and showers, perfect for our stay.

Great location, close to town but still private and very spacious. Also close to lots of places to explore for the day. Loved the creek and so handy having a flushing toliet and hot showers. Kerry was very friendly and helpful when we checked in (which was very easy). We will definitely be back.

Huge thanks to Kerry for hosting us. The property is an amazing spot - a beautiful piece of land which all of us couldn't help but photograph multiple times. We stayed down by the creek entrance - a great little spot for our two-family party as it provided a great location for the children to stay to, great access to the creek, and a natural noise blocker from any other parties in the area.
Am looking forward to getting over there again.

My friends and I loved camping here! Perfect weekend get away - being able to have a fire was awesome and the kayaks in the creek were so fun. The bathroom facility was very clean. If in need of anything, the town is so close (drinks, firewood, snacks). Thank you!!

AMAZING creek with platypus, trees, free kayaks to use. Lovely scenery and farm animals.
The only negative is the massive power/transmission tower radiating power…. For those a bit more concerned about the effects might not want to book here

Fantastic experience. Kerry was so lovely and made the trip incredibly welcoming. Great big open space. We looked for Platypus and Koalas but unfortunately didn’t see any. Hung out with the animals on the property and went for a kayak. Am keen to book again!

Overall we had a good stay, however, it wasn’t specified that we would be sharing the site with other campers. They weren’t loud but we were hoping for a more private camp.
Got to see some sheep, goats and horses at the site which was fun. Toilet and shower facilities were excellent, kept clean and topped up at all times.
Close walk to pub and little corner store, maybe 10 mins.
