The atmosphere there is always great! And regardless if it full or not, you still feel remote and on your own, which I love!
Cameron's a great host too! Never got to meet this mysterious man but he kept me updated on what's happening when there was bad weather coming which helped me decide on whether to stay or bail

We highly recommend this campsite! The owner is incredibly friendly, and the entire site is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for upgrading us to the stunning “Penthouse” spot — we truly enjoyed our stay and had an amazing camping experience.
A huge thank you as well for helping us get out of the greasy mud road on a rainy day. We truly appreciate the kindness and support.

Stunning views, unreal camping experience.
Best experienced in dry weather, the clay tracks make it impossible to come and go in the wet.

Lovely private site - no one within eyesight of our camp. 180 degree views were pretty too - looked great during the storm seeing the lightning in the distance. Be warned that the toilet is a fair walk - potentially a drive depending on how desperate you are :-)

Site 10. This was an awesome spot. Outdoor shower was great. Cows are very friendly. Pity the waterfall was dry. But we found the creek about a 10 min drive away. We will be back.

Absolutely Great Spot to set up camp at, Cameron was very welcoming & was great at keeping everyone up to date with all the changing conditions well ahead of time.
Would definitely recommend & will be back again in the near future.

We lived our stay at Woody Cabin. The views were amazing as well as the tranquil sounds of nature filling the air.
The Owner, Cameron, was friendly and a very helpful host. Highly recommend this rustic but beautifully decorated cabin.

Our stay at Larapinta was absolutely beautiful. The view from the campsite was beautiful. We got to watch the sunset every evening, and it was breathtaking. We even had some friendly visitors during our stay. Cows would wander by from time to time, and every morning a little bird would stop by to sing us a song to wake us up. It was such a lovely touch of nature. The road getting there is definitely rough, so make sure to take Cameron’s warnings seriously, especially if it’s been raining. Once we arrived, we really appreciated the privacy we had in the penthouse. Even when a storm rolled in, we still had an amazing time and made great memories. Thank you, Cameron, for sharing your beautiful land with us. We’ll definitely be back again in the future!

Such a beautiful property with great facilities and an awesome host! The weather forecast was not great for our booking and Cam made sure we were comfortable and gave us the option to switch to a more easily accessible site. Will definitely be returning!

We found this to be a good campsite with awesome vista of the range. It is, however, very much an off-road 4X4 site. Amenities for the women is a bit of a challenge. Too far to walk to toilet & shower, especially after sundown, but a short 10 minute drive by a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Plenty of off-road track to explore but not for the faint-hearted. Recommended for a convenient off-road getaway.

Property is beautiful. Cameron was a great host, and the tracks aren't particularly challenging if you have a capable 4WD. The track to the lookout was closed and after walking up I can see why, it's rough as. Will be coming back.

We used site 7, flat enough site foe a swag with about 1.5 hrs of shade morning and evening. Toilet and shower are good. We will be back and recommend to friends. We didn't get much to explore because of the weather.

We stayed at Site 10 and honestly, it was such a beautiful experience. The view looked right out over the bottom of the property with the dams & we could see all the mountains wrapping all around absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. The cows wandered up close a few times during the day and early morning to say hello, which made it even more special and peaceful. It felt so calm, open and real - just the perfect place to unwind and take in the beauty of the land. It was about a 5-10min walk down the hill to go to the toilet or the Hot Shower too. We scored with perfect weather on our trip. It was just my partner & I with our rooftop tent and it was beautiful with the fire pit at our site too. We also went for a walk around our Site and found some fallen trees to use as firewood as well.
I can’t wait to go back with family & more friends next time - definitely a perfect place for a big group that can relax together.

The Penthouse with the Outhouse is officially my new favourite campsite. The views were amazing. We were lucky enough to have an afternoon storm come through and the resulting sunset was stunning. Loved the bath tub - kept us cool on a hot day.

The penthouse provided the goods and all the feels! Birds eye view of an amazing property, gorgeous mountains and landscapes, sunsets, cute cows all from the best bath you could hope for! Such a peaceful environment with spectacular vistas and serenity for days 😊 4WD access only and plenty to explore on the property, or not if you just want to stay put and soak it up from the gorgeous heated bath! Great place to check out from it all as you look down on the world! Good host, all you need available on site and sites well maintained!

This is an amazing property ! We picked site 7 and it was truly an experience we won’t forget, from the sunset, the serenity, the campfire and the visitors ie the baby cows that were inquisitive and friendly. The facilities were good especially the double shower with the most amazing views. 5 stars. We met the host a true Aussie and a friendly guy. We will be back. Thank you Cameron.

We loved our stay at Larapinta — peaceful, heaps of space, and the mountain air was unreal. All the instructions were sent by SMS beforehand, so we could head straight to camp — super easy. We stayed at Site 9, which definitely needs capable 4WD access and a bit of clearance, but it’s an easy climb if you know what you’re doing.
The view was the absolute highlight — wide open and stunning, especially at sunset. The site was private with plenty of room for the 76 setup. Perfect place to unwind, have a fire, and soak up the quiet. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the Scenic Rim!

Awesome spot under the trees, views for miles, cows around. One thing I hadn't read in reviews was that the track getting in is proper 4wd territory not just dirt roads, so be prepared

Absolutely gorgeous views, amazing facilities I was very impressed. Driving around the property was gorgeous and the tracks are great for a little bit of 4WD'ing but beginner friendly. We had a lovely time.

Absolutely lovely spot with stunning views. Could barely see the other sites from Site 1 on the hill. Beautiful sunsets and very peaceful.

We loved our little camp spot once we got up there.
Our Suziki Jimmy was put to the test to make it up, the comments about the 4wd were very fair.
Sunset was gorgeous and we even saw a Bandicoot which was cool.

Site 2 Plateau was a fantastic spot. Relatively flat, peacefully quiet, trees for shade and the most spectacular views. Short trip back to the Stables for the scenic Shower Shed is highly recommended, as is the beautiful grass tree walk. Cameron provided clear pre-trip information. Can’t wait to visit again.

great camping site, good view , very serene and enjoyable. Morning mist in valley looks beautiful and beyond reality. The tracks were a little hard though, some sections have a lot of rocks and require careful drive of your 4WD. Overall good experience, remember to bring enough water and food and enjoy the peaceful time away from everyday hustle.
