We have a selection of beautiful creek side locations where you can enjoy the clear, fresh running water and a selection of other sites only a short walk from the water. If you prefer you can 4WD to the back of the property with a camper trailer or roof top camper, this will also get you to a height that overlooks the Calen township and the ocean. Conveniently located just a short drive off the Bruce Highway, you will have your own private area without disturbances other than the odd cow, horse or wallaby wandering around. While staying, you will have the opportunity to take a walk into the past to view a private collection of Australiana, including a working stationary, engine display and vintage kitchen with wood stove. Access to the property is via a creek crossing so it is advisable to phone ahead if there has been recent rain or rainfall is forecast. Two port-a-loos are located on the property but campers will need their own shower facilities and take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are permitted but must be contained at all times in a fire pit. Calen is a small cane growing and cattle town with a general store, pharmacy, service station, butcher and the local pub. Zarby's cafe is a short drive away if you would like to dine in for breakfast or lunch in a retro style setting. Pets are welcome.

Multiple places to camp. Didn't feel like we were camping on top of any one. One of the hosts took one of our camps around on the buggy to show us what possibilities we had. Toilets were clean. Loved the fact that there were kayaks available for us. 100% will be back.

Beautiful camp Very peaceful and relaxing. The antiques are very interesting and one of the best collections I’ve seen in recent years. And you are free to roam around and look thru it all. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Disconnect and unwind
Great spot to disconnect from the every day hustle and reset with nature. Plenty of space for campers to spread out and enjoy all the good the property has to offer. Lovely swimming hole and they even provide kayaks and a sup to use at your own leisure. Sue was an absolute pleasure to deal with, bringing us more firewood on our requests with excellent communication. If you’re looking for somewhere new to add to your getaway list than here it is!

great camp close to home
I had an absolutely wonderful time at the camp. The spaciousness of the area was truly a breath of fresh air, providing ample room for activities and relaxation. The presence of the fresh creek flowing nearby added a serene, calming ambiance that was simply unmatched. Moreover, being pet-friendly was the cherry on top. It was such a joy to be able to bring along my furbabies without any hassle. Thank you for providing such an incredible camping experience. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Terry and Sue have a lovely property. The variety of sites was fantastic and the creek was very refreshing. Our two boys loved riding the tracks and checking out the dam.
