Lovely relaxing quiet camp. The lambs were beautiful. Even though we have had no rain it was still well kept. Great host. Be great in summer time swimming in the creek . Fire pits everywhere . Thanks Ben we will be back

Great camping spot. Host is super friendly and helped us with any questions we had. Could camp right on the bank of the creek it was amazing.
The peace and quiet was our main requirement for this stay, stayed 3 nights, sadly the water was low but there were sheep wondering around which kept our dog interested. There were other campers but no noise.

Another amazing chill weekend at Black Iron. Big thanks to Ben and Cassie for providing a serene environment.
Booked Blackiron for a birthday camping trip with my mates, and being our first time out here, it definitely didn’t disappoint!
We camped on a site right near the river, and the views were absolutely stunning. The owner, Ben, and his father came down to have a chat with us and make sure we were all settling in okay. They even brought down some extra firewood for us, which was a great touch.
Couldn’t have asked for a better spot or a better experience. We’ll definitely be coming back — easily my new favourite camping spot! 🏕️🔥🌿

This is our second visit and love it even more. So peaceful with a beautiful creek to sit in. Lovely welcome again and plenty of space. What a fabulous spot and the sheep/ lambs and Roos and wallabies were the icing on the cake. Thank you so much 😊

Great spot on the creek, not many places you can camp right on the water like this place.
Been twice now and will be back for a third for sure.
We love the wide open space and the beautiful river nearby. It’s very peaceful and friendly. Definitely a place to chill but still only 40 minutes from Airlie Beach. Would come back for sure.

Wow! We loved camping here. Camp ground is well thought out and Ben is. Welcoming host. We wandered and floated up the creek for hours, we took a big floaty for our 8 year daughter and little dog. It’s August and the water was warm enough swimming, this is a must visit for the people who like an adventure. Lambs had just been born at the farm as well just to add to the prettiness.

Very mixed feelings. Based on photos, we were expecting something a little more appealing than what we saw. It’s just a paddock next to a house and maybe two spots you would get a view of the creek. Yes it’s relatively flat, yes there are a few fire pits but we drove in, looked around and didn’t stay. It wasn’t appealing at all, considering where we had just come from, for the same price. The hosts were lovely and very fair in communicating with us after we opted not to stay. We didn’t get a refund but Cassie offered for us to return another time. We have been travelling full time for 19 months and mostly off grid so we aren’t camping snobs at all. Caravan parks are NOT our thing but Blackiron just didn’t deliver for us. Maybe for a quick one night stop over. We wish the owners all the best in their dreams for this place.

We loved camping at Blackiron! In an area overrun by large caravan parks this is an absolute oasis with the most stunning clear river running through. Large, clean sites with fire pits. Clean, hot shower, firewood for sale and very lovely hosts. Would absolutely recommend!

Great open space next to the river great directions per for my stay
suited me and my wife down to the ground as it was just a good place to relax. There wasn’t heaps to do there but that’s what suited us. Plenty of room and a quick drive from Home in Conway was ideal. Nice to meet the owners at the gate upon arrival. Very peaceful if you kangaroos bouncing around two nights was perfect.
