Nestled in the foothills of Eungella National Park, in behind Calen (Camerons Pocket), this great campsite offers you the opportunity to go swimming, fishing in the fresh water, put a tube in the creek and relax by a campfire. Oh, and there's berries! You will be camping right beside St Helen Creek, just a throwing distance from the Strawberry Farm which is open during the winter months (July- September). There is access to toilets and showers, but you will need to bring your own drinking water. You are welcome to have a small campfire in one of our dedicated firepits, and enjoy the starry skies at night. This campsite offers the perfect experience for the whole family. For an additional fee, you can pick strawberries from July- September. Blueberry picking is from October to January. There is lots of wildlife around from kookaburras to kangaroos. Plenty of places to swim if you wanted it to be more private. The campsite area is 2WD accessible and we can accommodate tents through to caravans, campervans and larger camping vehicles. No pets please.

Wow! Margaret and hubby were such wonderful hosts and their land is a special piece of paradise. We went end of season and they happily let our kids pick anyway, we went home with fresh Strawberries and sunflowers. Camerons Pocket swim hole was exceptional as well...a must see.

Ballantyne's Strawberry Farm - camp
We set up our tent at the very first site (tap nearby) as we were the only campers that night. The site is large, flat and grassy. We had use of a fire pit with firewood supplied. Margaret and her husband were the best hosts, warm and friendly and the strawberry and sunflower picking was a bonus. The camp site is beside a beautiful, clear running creek, perfect for swimming. They told us about the waterhole at the end of Brodies Rd, for a deeper swim. We drove there and found many families enjoying an afternoon swim. Highly recommend this campsite. We will be back again soon.

Site 7 - Strawberry Farm Campsite
Met Margaret on arrival who suggested we take our pick of the sites, as she had no other bookings during our stay. She insisted that the first site was the best, with access to a tap, fire drum as well as rock firepit, private walking track down to the beautiful creek, and a nice, flat and shady grassed area under the trees. Margaret also told us about the deeper swimming hole just up the road a few clicks, which we swam at the next day. Gorgeous, crystal clear water, and so refreshing! Lots of Ulysses butterflies around, and plenty of birds, even a few little wallabies too. The toilets and shower were only a short stroll from the camp-site, and there were lots of little areas around to explore. We bumped into one of the locals who told us about the music festivals held here every year and showed us where the musos stay, in an old building he had restored there on the property. What an amazing and interesting place and such wonderful people! We will definitely be back, and hopefully can catch the strawberry picking season next time!
