Mixed feelings about this hipcamp. It was mostly ok - a flat-ish area near the creek and animals for the kids to look at. As others have said, the hot shower is nice, but the bathroom needs a good clean, the road is closer than expected to the camp site so it's quite noisy. And the kids play equipment is in pretty poor condition. These things could probably be overlooked if it was cheaper, but it seems quite pricey for what it is. It would also be nice if the owner was more proactive in organising feeding with the animals or opportunities for kids to interact with them. Overall it was ok, but we probably won't return

Overall it was satisfactory. I do agree with others that it is more expensive than others locations. My range has been between $28 and $72 this being the higher one. The bathroom was adequate although could have used a quick once over and it did have hot water sometime the cheaper ones don’t. Laundry facilities would have been a plus for the price.

Great spot! The animals are very cute. A little difficult to find, but overall great. Creek definitely not swimmable but I bet it is during wetter times of year. Definitely recommend!

Overall, not a bad place to stay. Flat-ish spot next to the creek (mostly dry when I was there), private enough and amenities in walking distance.
Compared to other hip camps, I found the price tag a bit steep though.

What a perfect setting for our road trip away from the city but still close enough to everything that's needed.
The farm animals were a huge hit for our kids and it was great to see them have so much fun by the stream and cooking marshmallows by the fire.
Looking up and seeing the stars was so nice.
Will definitely be on our list again.

Our family loved camping there. It didn’t feel like we were on someone else’s residence. A beautiful little creek and we were left to ourselves and enjoyed the scenery.

The description didn’t match our experience. The “swimming hole” was almost dry (maybe due to the season), so swimming wasn’t possible. There was a lot of noise at night, cars and the roosters started crowing from around 3 a.m. and kept going, making it hard to rest. The host gave directions to the group in front of us, but when we tried to ask she just drove off in her cart, which made us feel ignored. Later, once we were settled, we messaged her about the drinking water, but never got a reply and honestly, I do not recommend drinking that water as it was very dirty. Bathrooms were also not clean, disappointing for the price.
The best part of the place were the beautiful birds and horses around.

Cockatoo creek was a beautiful little camp site, perfect spot to getaway for the night. Took my 3 year old and he had a blast. We saw an eel in the creek and spent ages talking to the horses! 🤣
Easy to find and Joanne was very helpful.

It was a lovely set up beside the creek. Very peaceful, there was a toilet waking distance to the site and loads of horses and other animals nearby to look at. Would defo come back

Loved camping here! The sound of the running creek was lovely. The animals were very cute. The owner is lovely and even helped us get unbogged on our way out, which we really appreciated!!

Great spot. Not as quiet as we had hoped for as traffic noise was loud. Shower was lovely and hot. Loved all the farm animals.

We loved the private pitch next to the creek, lots of animals around to say hi too. Lovely clean toilet and shower, fire pit provided.
Will definitely be back, hopefully -the rain this time.

This was such a beautiful, quiet space where there’s multiple places to set up a tent/camp. The creek would be so lovely in summertime and leaves a peaceful atmosphere with the sound of running water. The shower and toilet available are so nice especially with hot running water. There were also such cute animals. Genuinely fell in love with this space and would 1000% come again. Thank you Joanne.

Good description to find the farm since it was a little tricky to drive in the dark. Very nice and private campsite, loved having the animals around and the creek was beautiful! One note, perhaps the children doesn’t have to walk so close up to the parked cars in the morning just for privacy… otherwise no complaints!

Beautiful well kept campground and facilities. The kids loved the creek and all the farm & wild beasties. Did need to Engadge 4 wheel drive to get out due to extremely wet conditions. We're keen to come back in sunny days for more exploring, thank you.

We had a great time here. Very well maintained site right next to the creek. Loved seeing the animals. Close enough to Mt Tambourine and Gold Coast that you could easily explore both in a day. Toilet was clean and convenient. We had lots of rain on our second night but thankfully it was a grassed site so didn't cause us any trouble.

Great little hipcamp spot surprisingly close to the centre of the Gold Coast yet quite secluded and the amenities were clean and well looked after and the owners were very friendly and easy to deal with

Quiet, secluded, great location, awesome for small groups. There is toilet & shower (included in the price).
