Site was tidy, pretty well level and a good distance from other campers. Nice to kick back and watch the horses hang out on the other side of the billabong.

Great campsite right on the edge of the billabong. Mostly level on the bottom area or up on the top level with a gentle slope down to the waters edge where the fire pit sits overlooking the water. Very private and quiet site with the billabong perfect for kayaking and a bit of fishing. Plenty of wildlife even a koala in the tree above our camp. We loved our 2 nights here with friends and will be back one day for sure.

We had a lovely long weekend away here in the caravan with the dog and kids in tow! Quiet and peaceful spot! We loved the visits from the horses. Would absolutely recommend!

A very relaxing weekend spent overlooking the gorgeous billabong, the Clydesdale’s running in the paddocks and the wild birds frolicking in the water.
The site was spacious and well maintained. The first night there were neighbours on site 2 which were visible to our camp site but did not intrude on the serenity of the area.

Beautiful spot close to home. Was very quiet when both the neighbours weren't cutting the grass, and the 2 camp sites were quite close together. Others campers didn't really bother us and we enjoyed our long weekend away. Loved the billabong view out the van window. Thanks for sharing your property with us.

We loved camping at Camp Billabong - Spot 2. We were the only campers for the weekend. The only note I have is if you need to camp on a more level spot, choose camp 1. However, camp 2 is still accessible and easy to set up camp.

This hipcamp is Absolutely gorgeous. We came on a week that noone else had booked out the second spot so had access to both billabongs, and the small rocky streams in between which our pup loved running though and don't let the colour of the water fool you (it's just tannins from beautiful trees around bank and mud from said bank) as the billabongs are a truley lovely and refreshing swim. Both of our camp hosts were very kind, and their dogs were so cute and friendly to our own pup. The Clydesdales were very curious and stood over the other side of the bank, just watching us go about our days. Will definitely be booking again. All in all I would recommend this camp to anyone, as long as your self sufficient, 4x4 and tent campers will have little to no issues, those with caravans may need levellers (or just some bits of wood 😉)

We loved our stay at Camp By the Billabong. As a family group we booked out both sites which was ideal. Close enough for joint activities and shared meals but far enough apart for separate camping. Native birds and animals were abundant and the beautiful horses over the fence were an added bonus. Sites and walking tracks are mowed and maintained. Directions are easy to follow and access to the sites well maintained.

We had a relaxing time here overall and would recommend it, though there were a few things we weren’t fully prepared for. While we didn’t meet the owners, we did receive a couple of text messages, albeit without any names attached. We received two text messages, one message was sent on the morning of a predicted storm, advising that the Billabong floods quickly and suggesting we might want to move our camp. Given that rain had been forecasted all week, it would have been beneficial to have that information before we set up. Additionally, the other campsite was closer than we anticipated. The other campers had two dogs and when needing to drive or walk to exit the property, they directly passed our camp, which unsettled our own dogs. We chose not to swim in the Billabong due to the steep drop-off and the brown water, which made it difficult to see what was beneath the surface. Lastly, Campsite 2 is not very flat, so I recommend bringing levellers.

We had a nice private campsite by the billabong.We got bogged on the way in to our site cause the previous rainfall. Simone and her partner were there straight away to help us out.
They were very kind and even left a nice xmas present for the kids at the campsite and a bag of firewood.
Overall we had a nice stay just the flies drowe me nuts.The billabong is not a pretty clean water if you are fancy but it was still good to cool down in a hot day and it was fun for
The kids. Even saw a carpet pyton resting on a tree.

Lovely private campsite, nice billabong, peace and quiet. Great space and host easy to communicate with and accommodating. Haven’t seen the night sky so bright, spectacular!

Had an absolutely beautiful one night stay, easy instructions and easy access, nice little overnight stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of life!
The camp grounds area we had was site 1, the area was well maintained and right next to the water, super quiet but could also hear the animals and insects which added to the experience
Simone was wonderful and very responsive and super helpful with any questions that I had, would definitely be back!!!

Idyllic location, very private and great place to relax.
The camp site positioned next to the Billabong gave us easy access for a dip and to throw a line in.
The host was superb and we could not ask for a better welcome with a tealight, snacks for the dog and handy camp fire.
Without the helpful host Simone our issue with a flat battery could have spoiled our time, but it did not thanks to Simone's multiple charger options to the rescue. 🙂
