This was my father's favorite place to be in the summer. He loved watching the hummingbirds early in the season and the leaf turn in the fall. We hope you and your guests will enjoy staying here as much as our family has. Learn more about this land: Five acre private lakefront property surrounded by trees. 50 amps. This is a 50-amp hookup. A 30-amp converter is also attached to the electric outlet. You will need to bring your own converter if you will be running anything less. There is an RV dealership nearby but they may or may not have those in stock.

Campfires allowed

Firepit, private. Campfires are allowed so long as you follow local guidelines, however, you will need to bring your own firewood and starting materials. There is a grilling surface available to use over the firepit and a charcoal grill is also available upon request.

Off leash. Renters are responsible for the actions of or damage done by any pet brought onto the property. Please note that this is bear country and you should keep your pets in sight at all times.

This place was perfect! It had a lot of space to enjoy yard games with our family, a wonderful firepit to enjoy our nights, the dock had fish biting off of it, the wild life was also amazing! We saw deer, geese, eagles, ducks, hawks, and much more! Plus it’s a 5 minute drive to Strongman Smokehouse which is one of our personal favorite places to stop in the area! We will 100% come back to this one!

Lovely private lake RV spot!

Fantastic private site. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. We loved the fire pit and the beautiful lake. Our dogs loved exploring around the yard and the privacy to be dogs. Excellent communication with hosts and everything was in perfect working order.

Perfect Spot for Large RVs

This place was absolutely incredible! It was a PERFECT set up for a large RV - easy to park, hook up and access the water/sewer. So many thoughtful touches available that we hardly had to unload anything - grill, chairs at the firepit, and picnic table. Such a gorgeous area, with a long driveway and secluded road for walking the pups, and fun wildlife to observe. By far the smoothest trip between the communication, ammenities and convenience for our large vehicle. We certainly plan to come back again!

Very quite and beautiful place! The dock was well put together (I'm heavyset) and i felt very comfortable sitting on the bench down there. The chairs by the fire pit where nice with a great view of the lake and surrounding nature. The site was a little difficult getting into with our 5th wheel. We unfortunately came in at night time unexpectedly because of tire problems. I would strongly suggest not coming in at night, the PDF states that as well if your a bigger rig, there is just no light there for you to see what your doing. The site itself was big and the concrete was nice and level with easy access to all of the hookups. The outdoor table they had was very nice and everything seemed clean. I was surprised at the lack of mosquitos too. Maybe we just got lucky though! It was a lot of fun taking our kayaks out onto the lake and then into the river. There is a town close by with a truck stop that had showers (towels provided too!) So I loved how convinent the location of this site was as well!! While we did not see the hosts, their communication was great and couldn't be happier over all with the week we stayed!

Fun Girls Weekend.

Jenifer‘s land was just as pictured in her description. The concrete pad was wonderful for parking on, we had a 30 foot trailer and it was a little difficult to get it in there correctly, But we did it and all hook ups worked fine. Should be noted that there is no turn lane for turning on River Road off the busy highway. You can get to it off Ross Road the previous road you encounter which does have a turn lane. The area is wonderful for shopping, wineries and breweries. I highly recommend out of the woods winery in Hayward. (You can skip White Wolf distillery/Clover winery).

Beautiful property

We had a fantastic stay! Just as pictured with beautiful lake views. Unfortunately it was too windy for us to use the fire pit, but what a perfect spot and setting. The stars were magnificent. We wish we could have stayed longer!! FYI best food by far we had was at Roundman Brewery. Best beer too! We hope to come back again in the future.

A wonderful spot to get away!

We love camping but don't always want to be packed in a crowded campground. Jenifer's land was perfect! We could still see the houses next to us but there was enough space and the neighbors were quiet. Our dog loved being off leash to be able to play catch but we had to watch him closely as he wanted to say hello to the neighbors! It took a bit of maneuvering to get our 30' 5th wheel situated but the concrete pad was level and full hookups were great! The firepit was really nice and my son loved the dock for fishing! We went to Shell Lake beach on a really warm day which is a super cute town! The other day was much nicer and we just wanted to chill at the campsite! Thank you for sharing a wonderful spot to park our camper!

Great Spot!

This was such a great Hipcamp! My family has been camping in Trego for years at the nearby campgrounds. When I found this gem on hipcamp I decided to book it and I am so happy I did. My family has a canoe and we drove it up to the Earl landing and then just paid the log cabin to drive my husband back up there to retrieve his truck. Great experience all around. It was a bit tight to try and back our 34 ft travel trailer onto the concreate pad, but after a few attempts we were able to get it. Full hook ups were great and the dock and fire pit area were wonderful. Can't wait to book our stay again next summer.

We loved staying at this location. It had a wonderful view and was a great place that my kids and dogs could run around and play. There are neighbors on either side but we didn’t see any so not a huge deal. Host was responsive and great. Will visit again especially when tubing down the river as Jacks is just a view miles up the road.

Nice Place

Very peaceful setting. Houses on both sides, but not too close. No one seemed to be around anyway. Nice level slab with full hookups. Nice fire pit/lounging area. The lake is a lovely shade of green due to weeds and algae, but there’s nothing that can be done about that. It’s still a lake and we appreciated the herons, and loons.

Great location and full hookups!

What a great site. There is a long driveway to the property which accounts for a lot of the five acres and is a lovely set back from the road. There are neighbors on either side of the clearing at the end of the driveway but you still feel quite a bit of privacy! We have a 19’ travel trailer, which was no problem to get situated on the concrete pad. If you have a longer rig it may take a bit to get it turned around to back onto the concrete. All hookups were reachable with standard hoses, tubes and electric cords. Our dogs loved the freedom of off leash and we just had to keep after them (mostly one) to make sure they didn’t wander over to the neighbor on the west side. The patio area by the fire pit is great and we appreciated the grate to use for open fire cooking. The mosquitoes weren’t too bad although we used a screened tent for one night extended stay outside. The flies were a bit much at times by the fire pit when the wind wasn’t kicked up (‘tis the season). We mostly took advantage of the time for rest and relaxation but did venture out 3 times to Strongman Smokehouse, Spooner, Hayward. Each have there own draw but they are building out Strongman in the right way!!! The Blackberry and lemon shortbread ice cream at the coffee near Roundman brewing in Spooner was amazing. Will definitely consider again for a laidback relaxing trip!!!

Quiet Lakefront

This site made a wonderful bday weekend! The concrete pad was perfect for the camper and there was enough level area for a small tent. Great hammock trees and big fire pit, also loved the chairs waiting for us so we didn’t have to pack so much. The lake was pretty shallow and weedy but we saw loons and turtles and swam a little with the dogs. Would also highly recommend Jacks Canoe Rental a few minutes away—we went river tubing through them and it was a wonderful afternoon.

Lovely spot, very private, quiet, pretty views. Super easy hookups, depending on where you park you may need 2 sewage hoses, but can park as close as you need. Concrete pad huge plus, as opposed to most rv parks and that horrid gravel that always finds the bottom of your foot with the most pointiest rock. Great price on local wood at nearby lumber yard, burned very well. Fire pit is excellent. There’s a nice beach close by in town if a really hot day and need a swim. Pretty much small town Wisconsin, but I gotta say ppl were soooo darn nice! Host very succinct with directions and any info needed. Just a lovely spot we very much look forward to coming back for another stay.

This has become a site we like to keep in rotation. I enjoyed the new spot to keep the firewood dry. Unfortunately, someone put plastic bottles in the firepit, left cigarette butts around the yard, and dog food on the ground. I picked up what I could find. Please leave this place clean. It's such a wonderful place to relax.

Beautiful Lakeview! Really enjoyed relaxing by the firepit in the evening on the comfortable chairs provided by our host. This is probably the most peaceful and quiet campsite you will find. This is the perfect choice for someone who enjoys canoeing or kayaking...you can launch right from the private dock and travel for miles on the Trego flowage. If you need supplies there is a 24 hour grocery store in nearby Spooner. There is also a Tractor Supply store next to that which has a dog wash station in the back of the store. For $10 we were able to get our dog all clean for the long trip home...the store provides the shampoo and towels. Thank you Jenifer for sharing this land with us.

This is an awesome location with full hookup and beautiful lake view. The firepit was a standout. Plenty of trees for shade but also an open area for stargazing at night. Nice dock and lake for paddling. Jenifer was very responsive when we had trouble locating the property (my mistake for not getting the address from the welcome email and trying to use the HipCamp map coordinates instead - they aren’t accurate). We really appreciated her helping us out despite our late arrival. This location is close to Spooner for visiting restaurants and shops. We had a great time.

A little slice of heaven

We love camping on Jenifer's land. It's very private and has everything one needs. It's our second time and certainly not our last. Jacks canoe can deliver, pick up kayaks or canoes. Henson's Country Foods North on 53 has great butcher. Bring your camera as there is plenty of wildlife.

Our second vacation at Trego Lake Hipcamp. The view from our camper window was beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing on the bench on the dock. The Trego Flowage is my favorite place to paddle board and my husband likes to launch his rowboat at the public landing. Very few bugs this week. Great set up with level cement pad, water, electric and sewer. And the fire pit is in a great location near the water. Saw deer, eagle, loons, little ducklings, blue heron, muskrats, turtles, lots of birds and very few people. Private and quiet. We love it here.

My husband and I spent 7 blissful nights at Jennifer's property. We could never say enough good things about our stay. The view was amazing, and the camper setup was a notch above! We ordered wood off marketplace (karri and chrIs) and had it delivered. Even had enough to leave wood for next campers 1st night. During our stay we took in a wonderful dinner train ride( Great Wisconsin Railroad) and kayakerd the river (Jack's canoe rental) as well as kayaking Trego lake off the dock We look forward to booking again.
