Hidden Gem is a lovely spot to camp along Cedar Creek and a tributary. It was great for a three-generation camping adventure. Lots of room for kids to play. Part of its charm is that only two campsites are on the property. That being said, the owner's cabin is a couple of hundred yards away and visible from both campsites. Other spots we have camped typically have had a picnic table at each site, a fire box with grill, and water available nearby. Campers should be aware that only one of the two campsites has a picnic table. Both have stone fire rings but no grills. Neither site has water or toilet as stated in the online description. The night we were recently there campers on a nearby farm played techno music that we could hear until about 2 am. It wasn't blasting at us. But we definitely heard it in the early morning quiet. When I inquired as to availability of firewood onsite, the owner said it was $40/night extra.

This spot was private and had great access to a creek. I have a dog that doesn’t do well with strangers and it was so nice being able to let him run around and play in the water off leash. The host checked in via text to see if we needed anything while we were there. We did bring a 21 foot camper and had no issues getting in or out.

This is an amazing spot, very peaceful and right along the water so that you can easily fish and even hear the running water while you sleep! Abdallah was an outstanding host, good communications and very gracious, this is our 10th HipCamp stay and the best yet…we will absolutely be back! Blaine B

Loved this place! Very quiet, beautiful scenery, serene. Very well maintained. Only word of caution is if you are bringing an RV. We have a 23 foot one and followed GPS. It took us on a narrow, one lane gravel road that was a little dicey. The Hipcamp host, Abdallah, gave us an alternate way out that was SO much better. So - if you are bringing an RV, have Abdallah give you specifics!

Great campsite. Very secluded area and felt relatively private. Nice amenities. Prepare for mosquitos and bring good gear for lighting a fire and you’ll have a good time.

We had such a peaceful and memorable stay at Hidden Gem Hipcamp. The sound of the creek was incredibly relaxing — the perfect natural soundtrack for a quiet getaway. Our pup, Neo, had an absolute blast exploring the area and especially loved watching the goats! It was such a joy to see him so entertained and happy.
The Abdallah was kind and welcoming, and check on constantly due to weather inconveniences. If you’re looking for a tranquil escape surrounded by nature (and some friendly animals!), this is the place. Can’t wait to come back!

Abdallah has a beautiful, peaceful spot to spend a night or a week. Green fields slope down to a lively brook and both campsites offer wonderful views of both. Abdallah is a gracious and unobtrusive host. Would absolutely stay here again, and hope to do so!

This was our second time here. The goats are awesome! Water was nice, one of if not the best Hipcamp spot we’ve ever been to so far! Abdallah is an amazing host.

Great spot 10/10, many different spots to choose to place your tent with incredible views of the stars. The stream provides some decent fishing and peaceful ambiance to your night away. My personal favorite moment from this trip was enjoying chopping it up around the fire by the stream looking up at the stars. My only gripe with this site at all, is its distance from the park and lack of access to great hiking. Other than that the host was super helpful and the site was wonderful, it truly is all to yourself.

We loved this site! Our dogs had the opportunity to run around and explore. The spot by the stream was flat for the camper and the dogs loved playing in the stream. We will be back!

Great place. Great host. Very friendly but not intrusive. Seemed like an amazing person.
The views were wonderful. Kids caught 3 fish. Heard some coyotes at night.

We loved camping at this stunning location! The host was so helpful and friendly, he came by to greet us and show us a nice spot to camp at. He gave us recommendations and then gave us privacy the rest of the time. The spot is gorgeous, private and tranquil. Watching the sheep grazing was one of my favorite parts. The stream is beautiful and we could hear it at night, which was really nice. About a 10minute drive from a convenience store/gas station which we ended up needing so that was very convenient. We wish we had had time to explore the trail, but we’ll definitely be back! Nothing but good things to say about this place & definitely recommend!

Absolutely loved camping out here. The area was clean and pretty and it felt really safe and pretty private. Abdallah was an amazing host and helped us with some info we needed and was just overall a wonderful person to meet! I'd love to come back at some point in the future!

This is a perfect spot for anyone thats looking for some peace and quiet. Very beautiful area, and the water is PERFECT for fishing, wading, or even doing some light swimming. Abdallah was very friendly and welcoming to us, and he was very helpful with any and all questions we had. Hope to go back again soon!

A Hidden Gem in Virginia is a beautiful, off the beaten path camp site that offered a wonderful weekend. Our host was gracious and offered additional support if needed and provided us the peace and quite we were after. Fishing, great views, and a great camp site.

Beautiful property! Abdallah was very friendly and considerate, he gave very clear instructions and information. Property has a creek running alongside that has a few good fishing holes. There's a few options on where to setup your tent which is really nice. Good cell reception at the property. Still felt very private, nice to not have to share with other campers. Not far from town if you need to resupply!

A true hidden gem!
Absolutely gorgeous views, with plenty of hiking to explore! Private swimming and fishing holes. Just outside Abdullah’s farm is serene, provate, and safe. This place was awesome and will definitely be coming back.

Great camp spot, private. There was plenty of space, a nice fire ring and easy access to the creek to cool off, which was essential with the hot temps. We had a great weekend. Also , close to some nice hiking trails with beautiful lockouts. We stopped at Star in The Valley winery which was a nice touch to the weekend.
