UPON BOOKING PLEASE READ ARRIVAL INSTRUSTIONS THAT CAN BE FOUND IN THE SITE LISTING. We share a driveway. Our entrance is only 250 yards up the drive on the left: clearly marked with two orange cones and a Hipcamp sign. It's important not to miss my entrance (watch for oncoming traffic!!) as it's a long drive to turnaround and it becomes private property past my lot. In most cases, I can accommodate early check in times as well as late check outs. Please advise if this is desired. ONLY use 16869 Taylors Landing Rd, Sharpsburg Md for your GPS directions. Experience the beauty of this historic property, featuring a mix of woodland, grassy hilltops, and clover filled bottomlands. Come and enjoy the near direct access to the CO Canal Historic Park and Towpath and the kid friendly, serene stretch of the Potomac River we border. Choose from 7 similar sites available for your camping pleasure as well as our Hilltop site for maximum privacy and star gazing potential. The natural Shade/Privacy nooks will keep the midday sun off of tents and the surrounding old growth forest makes for a great hike up to a very accessible and kid friendly cave to explore. Whether you stay for a day or a month, immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the tranquil waters of the Potomac River. Throughout the summer, the river offers a user-friendly experience as water levels recede. Embark on float trips, kayaking, excellent fishing, swimming, cave exploring, or visit the historic towns and the Antietam Battlefields nearby for a touch of civilization during your stays. For biking enthusiasts, challenge yourself on the nearly 3 miles of single-track bike trails on the property. Alternatively, explore the endless miles of easy biking, hiking, and horseback riding (byoh) on the CandO Towpath. Whether looking for adventure or just chill down time, this location is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. There is limited shade in the camping areas after 2-3:00 PM depending on the time of year. We're working on large area sun shelters but havent gotten there just yet. The River shore/beach is shady or filtered sun all day long. 4wd or All Wheel Drive are strongly recommended. If it's been dry, single wheel drive is fine, but if we get a hard rain the day before or during the stay, I'll be pulling you up the hill a short distance to exit. PLEASE READ ARRIVAL INSTRUSTIONS CAREFULLY AFTER BOOKING!!

The Hilltop
We had a great time at this site! It was the right amount of privacy/space away from other campers that we were looking for as campers with a young child who still wakes up at night. There was a lot of room for a large group and amazing views from the hilltop. We did walk down and explore the C&O a bit but honestly just hanging out at camp was great. Greg was very responsive and hooked us up with wood even though local places had sold out. Just be warned- our cell service went out right when we got to the edge of his property, so we had just a little trouble getting in touch with him per his directions. Not his fault though- just plan ahead and message him that you’re on the way before you get there.

Great spot
It was a beautiful weekend at Taylor’s and Greg was very welcoming and accommodating. Greg went out of his way to provide us a private spot and it was great. Great access to the C&O trail for long bike rides, good access to some fishing on the river and ALOT of relaxing. Great experience overall!

Greg was a very responsive and friendly host. He met us at the entrance and was on call if we needed him. The campsite was super clean and well kept, and even the other campers were super friendly! Great experience for me and my 9 year old son.

Great spot
Great spot, host was very nice, definitely will be coming back. Hill down to site was pretty steep, a truck is a must.
