TJ has a beautiful spot with overflowing potential. Sites are well located along tree lines and are large. No crowding. It’s rustic but very comfortable. Some very personable camping goats visited regularly. We were there for a grandson baseball tournament in the area. It was perfect without Assateague crowds.

On a bicycle tour and ended up camping at Strawberry Crossroads. Last minute registration was a breeze. The site itself was a large field with tree lined edges with a table and fire pit at each site. We were pretty spread out so it was pretty quiet. I was able to talk to TJ a little and told him the thing I appreciated most was the cleanliness of the shower/bath house facilities. They were what I call better than “camp clean” in that you could walk on the floors with no fear. I would recommend it for anyone looking to pitch a tent for a night or two or three.

Greg's spot was so beautiful and away from roads enough that all you could hear was the joy of other campers. I rode over in my Prius, and he helped accommodate my trip by putting me up on a campsite that would be easier on my tires (it was a rainy weekend) I will definitely be returning. There is access to a rice by way of the CNO trail, and so many places to drive to. You can still receive service out there, and it very much a bare bones old school camp style: fire pit, porta pots, Greg is quick to respond and takes care of his guests. Thanks!

This campsite was nothing short of exceptional. The sites were incredibly well-maintained, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay—clean picnic tables, a sturdy fire ring with wood provided, a grill, and even a water container with soap for easy cleanup. The setting was peaceful and relaxing. One of my favorite parts was just sitting by the camp watching the horses play and run—it made for a really special experience. As great as the day was, the night was even better. It was so quiet and calm, making it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a peaceful, well-equipped place to camp. I’ll definitely be back!

Loved it here! Although the weather didn’t totally cooperate- it was great being in the creek in the rain! Ben was very accommodating and answered questions very quickly. The farm dog Hopper came to visit- we think he’s a ninja- he snuck up on us while sitting at the fire and scared the crap out of us!

Wow, what a breathtaking 360 view! We were passing through for the night and needed a landing pad. Found Curtis's spot and booked last minute. The electric box wasn't working so we reached out to Curtis and he got back to us right away and allowed us to hook up to another nearby outlet which worked just fine with the extension cord we had. We enjoyed a quiet dinner over the most gorgeous sunset and really took in the peace and quiet. We didn't realize when we booked it wasn't 30amps but thankfully it was cool enough that we didn't need the AC. We ran to a nearby dollar general which was only 3 miles away and bought a fan which ran off our extension cord. Woke up to birds chirping and cows mooing in the field next to us. What a lovely sound. Highly recommended!

We had a great little trip camping in the meadow. Hosts were very kind and it is a beautiful spot. My kids enjoyed navigating the mowed meadow trails that circle the camp. Flat ground was great for young campers and easy car access. We will definitely be back!

Lots of trees, shade and nature. It's located near New Germany State Park, 1.5 miles by car, less than a mile by foot. The state park has a lake and hiking trails. Garrett County has so much to offer, waterfalls, lakes, hiking, skiing, Amish gifts, history, fresh air, beautiful scenery. The campground was first started in 1964 by my grandparents, we are currently completing renovations in phases.

The campground is situated in the wooded area on the back of 27 acre horse farm which is known as "The Stables at Mezza Luna." There is Wi-Fi to all the sites. Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career. In the daytime, when you are not sitting around your campfire, you can walk the fence lines and visit with the Mares and Foals or just watch them frolic in the fields. Hint! "They love peppermints, carrots and apples." Who knows, you might get to meet a future Kentucky Derby winner. There also is a playground with swings, monkey bars, seesaw and trampoline. There is a dumpster in front of the barn for you to place your trash. Hawkwood Farm

Hawkwood Farm is a historic property in the Catoctin Mountains. The house dates back to 1803. At that time, it is documented that there was a blacksmith shop on the property. There is a functioning blacksmith shop today, as well as an expansive wood working shop. A ;band of rhyolite runs through the property that was used by Native Americans for spear points dating back to the paleolithic period. Presently, we strive to live as sustainably and as closely to nature as possible, being good stewards of the land that we are blessed to call home. If you are looking for lots of open space with a sensational view of the sky then this is the place for you! This site is great for viewing all kinds of celestial events. You will also have access to the rest of what Hawkwood Farm offers including forest trails and an array of wildlife. No presents for me or other campers, thank you. 45-acre Historic farm, several sites to choose from depending on adventure wanderlust (including a 4WD drive site). Located on private gravel lane, approximately 1/2 mile off county road. Either corn or soybeans with a woods backdrop. Secluded and private, yet 25 minutes to downtown Annapolis, 10 minutes to the Bay, great for cycling, paddleboarding, kayaking all 10/15 minutes from farm. DC 45 minutes, Baltimore 1 hour. Jug Bay wetlands, wineries, fun little waterfront towns and Bay front restaurants all within easy reach. Check out individual sites for description, each has its own personality. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. First listing actually has several options. For large campers/coach/fifth wheelers the area by the tractor shed will be the best. Around the corner there's two other choices both with firepits which will accommodate units up to 40 feet depending on your backing/maneuvering skills. Field of Dreams and Sycamore Ridge will accommodate campers under 25 feet with some backing/maneuvering skills. For those with 4WD and an off-road camper/trailer/tent choose Off the Grid, two entrances for easy access, travel along a logging road to an open site with fire pit. Suitable during dry conditions and not responsible for damage to vehicle or camper. Great spot for those who truly want to be in the woods off the beaten path, site takes about 5 minutes to reach due to low-speed access.

Bald Eagle Farm has been in our family for three generations. Today two generations still live and operate the family farm. We once raised tobacco and cattle and have now converted to growing hay and grain. My family wants to share the views and the experience of sleeping under the stars on our beautiful secluded farm. You will hear nothing but the wind, birds, frogs and insects while you doze off or enjoy the dark sky and camp fire. We live on the farm so we are always here to help you out if needed. We can provide you with water from our deep well. We are here to make your stay as comfortable as possible and provide a restroom in the case of an "emergency". Recently named a finalist for 'Best Hipcamp in Maryland'! Thank you SO much for your support and we look forward to hosting you in 2022. There are three campsites on the farm, one by the pond and two by the river. Very secluded and all sites include , firepit, log bench, and a picnic table that seats 3-4 people. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD. AT THIS TIME WE ARE OUT FOR THE SEASON. The original river campsite has been moved to a more remote spot so that all campers can access the pond and pier to the river. Farm encompasses nearly 300 acres on the Patuxent River. There is access to the river on high tide via our private creek (must bring your own canoe or kayak) and 150 acres of marshland. Over 100 acres of woods to walk through and a pond for wildlife watching.
