The Pleasant Valley Farm

Pleasant Valley Farm was originally a working farm with a two-story farmhouse and traditional bank barn, built in the late 1800s. The massive timbers and joinery are constant reminders of the meticulous craftsmanship of the era. Jim and Kathy Grogg purchased Pleasant Valley Farm in 1994 and not only updated the house and barn, but also expanded the lake to its current 13 acres. The large 144-year-old, 2736-square-foot barn is now available for special occasions such as weddings, receptions, birthdays, and reunions.

Jacob and Liz made their dream to farm someday a reality in 2013. They established Sweet Grass Dairy, an idyllic patch of grasses that covers 140 acres of Central Ohio farm ground. Hundreds of natural birds, amphibians, and insects call this oasis home. Along with a host of farm animals. Chickens, pigs, goats, cows, and turkeys are all raised out doors in a way that regenerates the soil and creates beauty across the landscape. 45 minutes from Columbus, Ohio! Our farm makes the perfect weekend escape from the big city or a great big breath of fresh air for the traveler coming by! We have a couple of sites to choose from. We have a grassy field with lots of privacy right off the road. We also have a flat gravel drive for larger vehicles or during wet times. Come enjoy a slice of Central Ohio heaven with us! As well as a close option to stay when you visit our wonderful county. We hope to continue providing this service. RV camping in Ohio guide

Whether you’re exploring the caves of Hocking Hills State Park, hiking through the Wayne National Forest, or canoeing along the Mohican River—RV campgrounds are easy to find in Ohio. In spring and summer, head north to the shores of Lake Erie, where you can park your rig along sandy beaches, go birdwatching in the Maumee Bay State Park and East Harbor State Park, or hop on the vehicle ferries and drive out to the Bass Islands or Kelleys Island. Some of the best RV camping is found in Ohio’s 75 state parks, often complete with electric or full hookups, free WiFi, and fire pits, ideal for roasting some s’mores over the campfire. Bringing your RV means you can camp year-round, so you can enjoy leaf-peeping in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park through fall or go snowshoeing and snowmobiling around Indian Lake.
