Croaky Oak Clearing of Good Knights Reserve is located in Ohio and a 25-30 minute drive to Dublin. You'll have nothing but peace and privacy on the back 15 acres of the property. A 1/2 mile drivable path will take you to the one site offered. Here you can pitch your tent, build a campfire, catch and release a few fish from the pond, or choose to sit on the floating dock with your feet in the water. There are also a few short trails to meander through. We know other special local spots we can let you in on, too. We are just a 1/2 mile from the Little Miami Bike Trail and close to Caesar's Creek, Cowan Lake, YMCA's Camp Kearn, and Camp Joy. Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. We reside within the Village of Morrow, walking distance to restaurants and stores. The little Miami Bike Trail is approximately 1/4 mile from our entrance. This property is tucked away and you wouldn’t even know you’re close to town once you’re on site. Valley Vineyards is right down the road to enjoy a bottle of wine and cook your own steak dinner nights. Take a trip to visit Fort Ancient with a day hike. A Native American earthworks complex, the largest hilltop enclosure in the world and soon to be a World Heritage site! Enjoy some canoeing on the Little Miami River a State and National scenic river which is within walking distance. We have kayaks on location for the kids to play in the creek and creeks to hike with numerous fossils deposits. Southwestern Ohio is famous for its Ordovician fossil deposits. Kings Island is approximately 20 minute drive and the Ohio renaissance Festival is near. Caesars creek state park in Cowan lake state park is within a short drive. Smallmouth Bass fishing is awesome on Todd’s Fork and we have plenty of area to Wade fish.

Please be aware that if we have had a lot of rain, the creek side spots may be too wet and difficult to get back up the hill with the wet grass. During peak busy season, the barn drive may have additional guests due to site, weather or general camping conditions. The barn drive offers a view of the creek area about 100 feet away and is about 175 feet from the patio common area. WiFi covering the entire camp and all cellular carriers work great here. 30 Amp electrical in many spots. White tank water fill is available in select locations. Plenty of room for tow vehicle at your camp site.

If traveling here from the South (only on Ohio State Route 127), please note the height restrictions on three roads that connect SR 127 with the parallel Wayne Trace Road. The names of the roads to avoid:
Consolidated (Height restriction 9' 9" under the railroad)
Brower (Height restriction 10' 0" over Seven Mile Creek)
7 Mile Road (Height restriction 10' 6" and very sharp turn to bridge)
Please watch what route electronic devices may may pick avoiding these routes.
A suggested route from traveling North on State Route 127 to Camp Rocky Run is to turn in Camden, OH on State Route 725 and head East to Wayne Trace Road.
!! NOTE on RV types !! You must have a self contained RV with on board restroom facilities. We have no restroom facilities available. For this reason, we do not offer tent camping.
!! NOTE on camp fire location !! The fire ring provided on the shared creek side patio is the only spot a camp fire, of any kind, can be built. (Sorry, but we have had too many damaged spots in the grass from the use of 'portable' fire ring units.)
!! NOTE on Class A RVs with towed vehicle !!
If it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the nearby barn driveway but if you are unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. Again, this is only if it is too wet to access the creek side camp spots. Generally we will be able to help you back in, but at times we may be away and suggest a helper in guiding you into the barn drive. Note, the barn driveway is not a pull through site.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience camping at cabin and company. This was our first time using hip camp and and It will make it difficult to go back to a traditional campground again. No screaming children and dogs fighting all night. Lol. Free firewood and a beautiful setting. Will definitely return.

We loved our stay at Green Plains Ranch! It’s a beautiful property and very scenic. Glen is a great host. He called before we arrived to make sure we had all the information we needed and to answer any questions.
The campsite was super easy to back into and is right alongside the pond. Very scenic and relaxing. There was cattle grazing in a fenced area a little behind the site, which we really enjoyed watching.
We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

We had such a nice time on Glen’s property. The farm was beautiful, well manicured with a great view of the pond. The site is level and graveled with a nice table, chairs and fire pit provided. Electric is 50 amp and 110 but you’ll definitely need at least a 75ft extension cord. There is a spigot available for water but no bathroom, so plan accordingly. Glen is friendly, hospitable and offered us several eating suggestions in Yellow Springs. Trail Town Brewery and Sunrise Cafe were awesome! The space is private although the host has a cabin nearby but hidden by huge spruce trees. We only heard the neighbors once and it was no big deal. Glen has many cows on the farm and it was nice to see and hear them. Would highly recommend this site. We would definitely return!

Beautiful property very pet friendly. The creek site is very relaxing. Do to mother nature we moved to a gravel site that was available so we didn't get stuck or tear up there property. Curtis and Michelle are great people and will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Was a beautiful site. Dogs and kids loved it.Nice stream and very well kept. A train did go through in the distance a few times that night and highway noise is close,but it is well worth it for the view and location. We got to see a large flock of ducks a few times in the morning, they passed by in the creek. Was a good stay and a beautiful view. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Originally, we had booked the Boondocking, but switched to the last minute because of the warm weather conditions. We ended up in the full hook up. Facilities were amazing, but the campsites were very close to one another, and there was very little privacy. I think the Boondocking would’ve been amazing if the weather had been cooler and we could’ve just operated off of our generator. Everybody was friendly and it was a quiet, family oriented campground.

Deb and her husband were such wonderful, accommodating hosts! We arrived late after a long drive to their home, and they helped us get hooked up to power and water. Their property is beautiful and felt very private from both their home and their neighbors’. The location is the perfect taste of country while still being very convenient to Columbus and the amenities of town.

I’ve stayed at quite a few Hipcamps over the years, but this one stands out as my absolute favorite by far. The owners were thoughtful and responsive—communication was excellent.
They’ve created a special, idyllic spot that feels like a peaceful retreat. The highlight for me was the beautiful log cabin right on the grounds, nestled beside the RV and camping area. After a long drive from the West Coast, I spent three wonderful nights there and enjoyed every single moment. The setting is incredibly relaxing, with a calm, restorative vibe that made it easy to unwind and recharge.
If you’re looking for a Hipcamp that feels more like a personal sanctuary than just a campsite, this is the one. Highly recommend—thank you to the owners for such a memorable stay! I’ll definitely be back.

we are cycling across the usa and arrived at Glen’s beautiful property - the pond, the happy criollo cattle, the easy access to electrical and water hookups for our support RV. communication was clear, we were aware of the no toilet situation (apparently others aren’t aware of “no dump” here, understood as it is a pristine farm!). the quiet was much appreciated after a few campsites near train tracks and freeways.
additionally the farm stand just up the road provided fresh eggs and after a text
exchange, melissa baked us two loaves of banana bread and a sourdough loaf that we picked up in the morning.
definitely, day 13 became a highlight of our 64 day adventure.

What a wonderful and peaceful little spot on the crick! Curtis and Michelle are awesome hosts and made us feel like family. We had everything we needed easily accessible, and felt they would help with anything we may have needed. But also felt like we were the only people at camp. Very enjoyable! Will be back for sure. Thanks again guys!

Grew up on this lake. Something everyone should know... the lake may not be sutable for swimming as it has a long history of high levels of e-coli. Which the park has no plans to combat. 30 years ago it was the place to be, the beach full of people. Now few go there to swim because they know. However, the park itself is beautiful clean and relatively safe. You can check water quality alerts in Ohio by going to https://publicapps.odh.ohio.gov/beachguardpublic/

The beach isn't handicap friendly, as it's a long climb down from parking. It's also the rockiest water you'll ever cut a toe in. A very pretty park, however, with a great marina.
