It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

This was a great spot for us. We spent 5 nights here and the campground was quiet and shaded with plenty of trees. They have trash pick up each day at your site, which is super handy. Full hookups and a large laundry room and nice clean shower houses. It is located not far from everything. We drove just down the street to the community center, parked our car for free and took the free shuttle into the hub of  Gatlinburg. Don’t need to deal with the traffic or the parking. Also a short drive to Grotto Falls. Highly recommend! You need to stop by Sugarlands visiting center to get a parking pass and definitely pick up a trail map! They are $1 (map) but was super helpful. We did see a black bear walk by the camper next to ours! Didn’t see any on the trails though. Our visit was mid October. The strip is super busy on the weekends in October!

Loved our stay with Andrew. The site is easy to get to (some winding roads but not bad), the setting is beautiful overlooking the river, and Andrew is a great host. We were there during a late Sept heat wave, so having full hookups meant we could run the AC for our little dog during the day, and the night time breezes were wonderful with the windows open. The sites are out in the open and close to each other, but we didn't mind at all. We would definitely recommend Andrew's sites!

Ellis Cove offered us an amazing campsite! The campground is close to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge, but it is remote enough to offer peace, quiet, and a sky full of stars. The area is clean and well -maintained and right on n the river. We plan to return next year with friends.

With pets
It was very quiet. We were on site 5 the best in my opinion. We did not have pets this trip but they are welcome here. If you want a fire on your site you will need to bring a portable fire pit. They have a community one but we wanted to relax alone by the fire. The river was wonderful to cool off in. It is right off the road so there was some road noise but nothing bad.

This was a dream location for a very peaceful getaway. Our only regret is we had to leave to meet others, next time we stay parked. The river is so relaxing, the property is superb, and friendly owners. The fire pit area is perfect for a late night with friends.

Nice and quiet, neighbors were friendly! The spot is perfectly located to everything you need at the resort! One night a Bear came walking through to cross the road! We can't wait for our next adventure here!

We really enjoy this site. We have camped here before and have booked it again for October. The site has full hook-up, CATV and wifi. We fished in the pond. My daughter caught 3 bluegill and a catfish broke my line. The site is neat and clean.

We had a great time during our stay. The large trees created a lot of very needed shade during the day. The pool and bath houses were also very nice to have access to. Definitely would stay here again in the future. Thanks for allowing us to visit.

Site 22 was awesome. Right on the creek and mostly flat. Short walk to the bathhouse which did seem to be in need of a good cleaning nc and dusting. Motorcycle friendly as well as family friendly. They had ice and firewood for sale at the office. I never interacted with any staff. When we got there, we called the number on the door and she told us to head on to our site. Be aware that the road is very narrow and curvy.
