Off the grid, out of the way, rustic 10 acres where you can pitch a tent, take a hike and enjoy a campfire.  Mostly wooded with nearby sites to explore, a few swings for fun (swings have recently been removed due to trees falling) and a fantastically cold SEASONAL mountain creek for cooling off.  Always improving our place, we recently removed the 'cabins', which had become unsuitable for use.  The property is part of a community, which you may notice on the way to the campsite.  Site 1 (The Swings) will be first left after you turn into the driveway.  It is a U shaped drive, at the bottom of the U, park and walk 15 feet to site.  Site 2  (Main Container) is at the end of main driveway, next to container.  Drive to end of driveway, park and walk 10 feet to camp.  Both are equidistant to the outhouse.  There is a trail (tagged with red) that goes all the way around the property, a top half and a bottom half that will take you by the creek. Please look through all of the listing information.  The SEASONAL creek at the bottom of the slope is wonderful and there is a spot for two adults to sit down into the crisp water and plenty of room for lots of feet. If you follow the path in the middle of the property, a 30 minute walk (therefore not on our property) will take you to a beautiful swimming hole. It's cold! There is no power or running water at the property so it's an ideal place to get away from daily life and truly relax. We hope you will enjoy it as much as our family does! Please note that even though some pictures show buildings, there are no longer cabins/shelter on The Land. We are unable to remove pictures Hipcampers post. It is raw 10 acres so, yes there are ticks. Cover up and spray as you see fit, just be aware. Also, since it is 10 acres of trees, there is plenty of firewood. Camp Chet was founded with the purpose to help people encounter God through outdoor experiences. It over 900 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee. Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill. A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

**Please note the address is 9665 SR 50, Pelham, TN 37301** The best part about this site are the views! Relax on the side of the Cumberland Plateau while overlooking Burroughs Cove and the Elk River. You can see the camp sites from the main road, so there will be some road noise. Sites 1/2 are hard/large graveled, tent camping will be very challenging, heavy duty tent stakes are highly recommended with mats/padding. There is an electrical box at each end of the hard graveled parking areas (Sites 1 and 2) with 20- and 30-amp plugs, plus 110v. If the power is not working, please check the panel and turn on/reset the breakers, many of our guests turn them off when departing. If you are at Site #2 and the steps above do not work, please check/do the same at the Site #1 panel (it is the master power source). Water is NOT available on site. NOTE: Depending on the time of year (warmer months only) a water container with a limited amount of NON-POTABLE water is on site for your use. Please plan on filling your water reservoir(s) PRIOR to arriving. There is an outhouse for all guests, picnic tables and fire rings for Sites 1 and 2. The camping area is fairly close to SR-50 so please expect to hear some road noise, more so in the winter months. The entrance/driveway is on a small incline, if you are traveling in a light vehicle and a heavy camper, it's best to maintain a slow and steady speed to the camp site (for almost everyone, this is not an issue). If you are towing a camper, we recommend the total length of the vehicle and the trailer not exceeding 30ft, There is not a significant place to "turn around" at the sites and novice drivers (not used to backing out of tight spots with longer rigs) may find this very challenging. There is a double gate that is usually closed, and latched so it stays closed, it is not "locked". The site is self-serve (not manned), Site #1 is to the left, Site #2 is to the right, and Site #3 is down the path past the outhouse at the bottom of the path. It is recommended that campers set up early for Site 3 (still daylight) to get an idea of the layout. Parking for Site #3 is by the shed at the main entrance and power is not available at the site.

We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating.  Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you! COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires. OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS:  Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive. Find peace at this private campsite close to Watts Bar Lake. Nestled in the tall trees, your large, private site features a fire pit, picnic table, and a “Tennessee Bathroom.” Site is nearly 100% shaded all day long. The area is surprisingly quiet. Deer, turkey, turtles, frogs, and cardinals have all been seen on the property. Before you exit your tent in the morning, stay quiet and look out first - who knows what you might see. Parking is right next to the site. Watts Bar Lake is within a few hundred yards and a public boat ramp is just about 3 minutes down the road. Watts Bar is over 72 miles long, 722 miles of shoreline, and is known for good fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, and other recreation. This is a good base for day trips to Knoxville, Chattanooga, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Smoky Mountain National Park. Note: Bring your own tent/supplies, or options include tent and/or propane tank rental. Pack out your own food, animal, and human waste. As this is private property, it is still the woods of Tennessee, so expect all that goes along with that. Cute and private place. Easy to find. Loved the map they provided! With T-mobile, I had 5g everywhere on the property. Host was very nice and provided us change for the firewood we bought. We stayed in site 3 with our two dogs and our tree frog friend, and though we had neighbors, at the next site, they were far away. The site was clean, cared for, and opens into the star-gazing field, with a short walk to the comfort area. The waterfall hike is steep but short, and there was beautiful spring flowers growing everywhere, including lots of trillium! Beautiful! Springtime in Tennessee is sure to bring ticks, and this was no exception! After our hike, we found 2 on us, so make sure to bring spray and check yourselves and clothes/bedding well! This is not a complaint, it is an inevitable issue to be aware of!

All the amenities of an RV resort, but actually in nature. You really couldn’t ask for more. If money were no object, I would’ve loved to book the entire campground, just because my neighbors staying in the cabin were loud and their bickering drowned out the beautiful sounds of frogs and bugs and birds. Ah well. I continue my pursuit of true solitude.

Tent camped here and it was a solid time. Christine was very helpful and finding the site was no issue at all. The place was very quiet with only a faint hint of distant cars, and the place was overall peaceful with some nice small trails to walk and the star gazing field was cool too. Overall a very peaceful and enjoyable experience.

Was a great remote spot to chill and wind down after some long days in chatanooga only complaint is some of the paths are quite rough I have a 2wd truck and I made it just fine no problems but would not advise for small cars a buddy of mine who drives a Subaru outback recommended the spot to me and he also was able to make it just fine.

My wife and I went out there and really enjoyed ourselves. The weather wasn’t great for our trip, but the accommodation was wonderful. I took a full-size crew cab truck and a pop-up camper. It was a little snug trying to get in, probably better for a smaller set up, however it was a great spot. The host was great willing to help with anything.

Thank you for sharing this view with us!🧡 We loved our stay at Elkhead Overlook so much. It is next to the road, but it's a small enough road that it wasn't busy enough to bother us. The outhouse wasn't perfect but it was nice to have it! It is a bit windy up there but the view is worth it. Highly recommend.

Ead Bluff camping was ideal for us in our camper van. We were the only campers there, perched on the top of the hill. Nice view, especially at sunrise and we found it quiet. Yes, the host’s house is on the same ridge but a long way off from the campsite.

Weekend Trip to Campsites Fall Creek Falls Stables

Close to fall creek falls. We did a day hike there and camped here overnight. Verry clean. Firewood available. The bath house is the nicest cleanest i've ever seen. Cats around the stables are friendly. We had 3 dogs with us and they seemed to stay away from the campground area. THERE IS A CAMEL. We got to walk through the stables and say hello to the horses. We didnt go on a ride since we had the dogs but the people seemed friendly when we did speak with them.

The place Randy has is beautiful. You’re right on the pond and it’s very private. I loved the time I was able to spend here. Unfortunately it was cut short due a thunder storm and a few inches of snow. Randy was so kind as to give us a refund for the days we missed. I look forward to coming back when there are no storms. All and all it was an amazing place and such a wonderful Host.

Christine was a great host. She was very accommodating for a last minute booking, and was very helpful and communicative throughout the process. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. We had the place all to ourselves, so we roamed around to all the campsites. You can’t go wrong with any of them. I would definitely recommend Belle and Beau’s for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of life.

Weekend Trip to The Falls at Sewanee Creek

We camped on Grant and Becky's land as a family in the Fairy Woodland, and we could not have picked a more beautiful place to spend a weekend. The land is very well maintained and is full of beautiful, native plants and mosses; there's something pretty everywhere you look. The fairy woodland is near a cliff that offers breathtaking sunset views over the mountains. Our kids also had the best time, especially meeting Grant. He took them on a tour of the fairy village when we arrived, and they refer to him as their friend since then. Grant and Becky came to check on us a couple of times during our stay and made us feel welcomed and cared for. They're awesome hosts, and I'd give the spot 5 stars just because of how hard they're working to run this place. The waterfall we visited was incredible. We did some cold plunging and bouldering. The path to bottom of the falls is basically all bouldering, but it's not difficult for anyone that's able to crawl around through some rocks. The main paths are very walkable, and there are several trails nearby for more experienced hikers to enjoy. Caution: there are cliffs <50 feet from where we slept, so keep a close eye on small children if you bring them here. All in all, we loved our time here so much and we will be back as soon as possible. Thank you to Grant and Becky for letting us enjoy their beautiful home.

Fall Creek Falls Campground

The campground is crowded if you go during peak fall foliage times, but otherwise similar to other state campgrounds. Bathrooms are cleaned daily and the restaurant at the inn is great if you just don't feel like cooking. There are multiple overlooks with scenic views, and the suspension bridge is a must-do but I wouldn't recommend for dogs or kids. The camp store is well stocked so if you forget anything you'll easily find it there.
