My fondest memories of the property are of playing and catching crawdads in the creek that located on the property when I was a kid and riding horses and flying kites in the fields. Off the grid, out of the way, rustic 10 acres where you can pitch a tent, take a hike and enjoy a campfire.  Mostly wooded with nearby sites to explore, a few swings for fun (swings have recently been removed due to trees falling) and a fantastically cold SEASONAL mountain creek for cooling off.  Always improving our place, we recently removed the 'cabins', which had become unsuitable for use.  The property is part of a community, which you may notice on the way to the campsite.  Site 1 (The Swings) will be first left after you turn into the driveway.  It is a U shaped drive, at the bottom of the U, park and walk 15 feet to site.  Site 2  (Main Container) is at the end of main driveway, next to container.  Drive to end of driveway, park and walk 10 feet to camp.  Both are equidistant to the outhouse.  There is a trail (tagged with red) that goes all the way around the property, a top half and a bottom half that will take you by the creek. Please look through all of the listing information.  The SEASONAL creek at the bottom of the slope is wonderful and there is a spot for two adults to sit down into the crisp water and plenty of room for lots of feet. If you follow the path in the middle of the property, a 30 minute walk (therefore not on our property) will take you to a beautiful swimming hole. It's cold! There is no power or running water at the property so it's an ideal place to get away from daily life and truly relax. We hope you will enjoy it as much as our family does! Please note that even though some pictures show buildings, there are no longer cabins/shelter on The Land. We are unable to remove pictures Hipcampers post. It is raw 10 acres so, yes there are ticks. Cover up and spray as you see fit, just be aware. Also, since it is 10 acres of trees, there is plenty of firewood. We don't leave any bundles, just find down limbs and presto, firewood. DO NOT USE THE MAP LISTED OR GOOGLE MAPS; it will take you straight through water. Camp Chet was founded with the purpose to help people encounter God through outdoor experiences. It over 900 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee. Take a hike on miles of trails comprised of forest paths, old wagon roads, or coal mining roads. If you find a chunk of coal on the ground feel free to take it home with you as a souvenir. We raise Scottish Highland cattle, goats, sheep, and alpacas on 90 acres of reclaimed coal mine land. We are using the animals and permaculture techniques to repair this land to a vibrant, productive place. We also have ducks, beehives, gardens and a 2200 square foot hoop-house, and we homeschool 3 boys as well. We have a farm store with a variety of soaps and personal care products, as well as farm products such as homegrown and ground cornmeal, granola made with our duck eggs, herbal teas and herbs, tanned sheepskins, etc. The farm tours are 1-1.5 hours, the "Junior Tour" is largely meet-the-animals, but also a stroll through the hoop-house, and whatever else may be available (ducklings, bottle feeding goat kids or alpaca crias, etc). The "Sustainability Tour" is with Caleb, and - based on your interests - is focused more on how we graze the animals, rainwater collection, solar set-up, farm management, etc. We gear this tour heavily toward individual interest, basically Q & A about what you want to know about small farm/sustainable/off-grid living.

This Rv Resort is fantastic! It has updated facilities, a beautiful public pool, access to the water, and a very friendly staff. There is a restaurant on site that is open mainly on weekends. We had a great experience!

Very good directions for how to get there! Excellent accommodation and a bathhouse with a full shower (be sure to conserve water, they truck their water in). No regrets!

1 night at Seven Springs RV Campground

A little bit out in the country, but really nice place. The three RV sites are side by side but each has its own bench and firepit. Easy to find with hosts directions, but a bit challenging to navigate backing in after dark. In the morning we saw that we probably could have turned around in the field instead of backing in. Sorry it was just an overnight stay for us, but we did really enjoy the firefly show in the trees and hedges around our site.

Beautiful scenery. Our trailer fit easily. The grounds were pristine. Can’t wait to visit again in the Spring. This would be a beautiful spot to take littles too. Beach access to the water and they even have a pool.

This campsite is great! It is very spacious with great views. They have canoes and kayaks available to use and it’s great to get on the water for sunrise or sunset. Located close to some awesome outdoors areas like Suck Creek and Middle Creek. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to River Life RV Resort

I love this campground. The benefits are numerous starting with the location to Nooga, the clean water of the river, farm fresh eggs right down the street, and last but not least, a wolf on sentry. Seriously, Ava is super sweet and the rest of the pack are apparently super social as well. The hosts are proud of their campground with good reason. There's a lot to offer here! Have fun with the time zones! Honestly, that kept us on our toes!

Nice campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Plenty of trees for your hammock. Full hookups were nice. Pretty in the fall. Only drawback was the sites were a little tight and it took a few tries to get in. If you have a long trailer, it might be difficult.

One of, if not the best places we have ever had the pleasure of camping at!!! Laura & Delon were GREAT HOSTS!! The property is beautiful and set up perfectly for visitors. We had the “Eagles Nest” spot. Great view of the river. Only 5 spots so not overcrowded. Clean, spacious, well maintained resort. Well recommended this resort to anybody.

The view from every RV site is incredible! The hosts did an amazing job with the property and the kids loved kayaking on the river and climbing up and down the rope on the rocks. It is also so close to downtown! We will definitely be back!

Fall Creek Falls Campground

The campground is crowded if you go during peak fall foliage times, but otherwise similar to other state campgrounds. Bathrooms are cleaned daily and the restaurant at the inn is great if you just don't feel like cooking. There are multiple overlooks with scenic views, and the suspension bridge is a must-do but I wouldn't recommend for dogs or kids. The camp store is well stocked so if you forget anything you'll easily find it there.
