The farm is located 15 minutes west of Indiana Universities Memorial Stadium. The property is nice and private. The farm adjoins the 75 acre Stranger Hills Organic farm, the oldest organic farm in Indiana. Our 1899 Farmhouse is the only residence on the entire farm. There is a 3000 acre farm to our south. The area is quiet and very private. The campsites are in a grassy walnut grove by a small creek that runs along the eastern border of the property. We have a white deer creek cabin tent on a platform there and 3 or 4 nice level campsites to the north. There is a shaded RV site at the top of a small hill with 30 amp service. We can accommodate a large RV on packed gravel with 50 amp service. the farm is located 15 minutes east of McCormicks Creek State Park. There is a composting toilet and an on demand hot shower in a small building adjacent to the campsites. There is a YMCA about five minutes East of the property. We now have a no dog policy. I haven’t been able to change it on the site. \\\

There is a composting toilet in our shelter house with seating and eating area. Bring your own drinking water. Public beach is less than 2 mile drive. Best fishing area. Is 1 mile. This is a quiet sanctuary, previously a children’s day camp behind our house. There is a 2 night minimum and only 4 people per sight. Our sights are small and limited since our land is very hilly and only has a composting toilet.

Beautiful and peaceful location. Full hook up with many other amenities. The site was as described and to be honest better than expected. Hosts provide a clean and very well maintained spot. Plenty of open land to walk and just a short drive into a populated town. The hosts are very nice and the hospitality was amazing. Hosts went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and well taken care of. Overall a very pleasant experience. Will be returning for longer stays in the future. Highly recommend.

Kool fact, while I didn’t think him cocky, waking to a rooster in the morning is actually really cool:)) It was super cold for most of the night we were there but Dave and Tara were gracious and kind and shared some flannel blankets to help keep lab River warm. Pros: RV electric hookups. Clean onsite bathroom with running water, sink, flushing toilet and shower. Nice well maintained camping sites (tent and RV). Plenty of land to roam and enjoy nature. Beautiful views of the lakes, nature and wildlife. Cons: Limited number of firepits. All 5 RV sites share one firepit. Not a real issue if you're the only one there but not great if there are other groups booked on site. Some of the camping sites have firepits but not all of them. Lakes have some junk in them, tires, etc. There is overflow from the river so when it floods the river flows into the lakes and it brings along the trash with it. It wasn't too bad but does give you pause when considering swimming or fishing. Overall: We had a great trip and will book here again. The pro's outweigh the cons and it was a lot of fun getting away for a weekend with friends.

Always a great stay at Havendale Farm. I've stayed many times in the car camping spot and this time stayed with a friend, so we booked two spots. Truly there's no bad location when you stay here! You can park in the shade of a tree and enjoy the rustle of leaves for the night. Dave is great and always very welcoming. This is my favorite place to stay when I'm in the Indianapolis area. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best Hip Camps we have experienced. The directions were clear, and the host, Jonathan, greeted us warmly. Jonathan took the time to show us the property and the campsite. Electric, water, and a very clean toilet are conveniently located. Jonathan also has a strong Wi-Fi in the camping area. We easily connected. Our campsite was covered, which was helpful during the evening rain. Jonathan has 20 acres where trails are cut through the corn fields and the woods for hiking and dog walking. There are many birds in the area, so birders will enjoy it. This was a very enjoyable stay.

This spot is easy to find and ~5 minutes off the interstate in a quiet neighborhood. My husband and I and our two dogs stopped here for an overnight rest on our cross-country drive. The camp spot was nice and level for our rooftop tent. Port-a-potty is very clean and it’s nice to have a spot to wash hands. It was peaceful and calming to watch the horses graze as the sun went down. Dave is extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. We could hear some noise from the interstate in the distance but it was not intrusive and we were very comfortable here. Would recommend and would stay again!

Brown County Campground

They have an amazing mountain bike trail system within the state park! There is a fire lookout tower which guests can climb. There are multiple scenic overlooks. You can ride your horse there! There is a swimming pool AND a lake. There is a great tourist shopping town nearby, an artsy community and a lot of ongoing "yard sales".

We spend a lot of our time at Brown County State Park throughout the spring through the fall. As avid mountain bikers, my son and I enjoy the BCSP trails, as they are some of the best in the Midwest! It's truly easy to create an epic ride out of the trail system and not be on the same trail twice.

Brown County Campground

We have tent camped at Brown County State Park for the past two years now. One year we camped the end of June, with an average amount of other campers in the park. This year we camped in mid May, the park was nearly empty (no weekends). Nice hiking trails!
