Please note the rocky shore near the sun deck, which is why jumping or diving from the sun deck is prohibited. The nearby City of Cullman, located approximately 10 miles away, offers abundant shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Additionally, the city hosts numerous festivals throughout the year, including the Rock The South Music Festival.

Choccolocco Creek Campground

8 sites · RVs, Tents35 acres · Eastaboga, AL
Convenient stop for the night or a few days for RV’s or Tent campers and a good place to get a hot shower - only a easy mile a half from I-20 exit 173 ( Eastaboga - Talladega Superspeedway Exit ) also a good base camp to see Cheaha State Park - bike at Coldwater Mountain- see the Talladega Superspeedway , Combat Park Flea Market , Oxford ballgames or other area Activities - I reserve one RV site and two tent sites for hipcamp and rent the other five RV sites at the top of hill on a monthly basis - these hipcamp sites are wooded, shady with woods between the other sites to give some privacy while still not far from the unique showers made from the old chicken house feed bins -these showers are very functional and I have been complimented that they are the best showers on the east coast

RV camping near Birmingham guide

Overview

Though visitors flock to Birmingham for its rich culture, award-winning restaurants, and legacy as the home of the Civil Rights Movement, the Magic City is also an ideal basecamp for outdoor RV adventures. Bring your RV, campervan, or big rig to explore Birminghams many nearby parks, from the 10,000-acre Oak Mountain State Park to the lakes and trails of Talladega National Forest. Summertime is notoriously hot, so when temperatures rise, youll want to beat the heat in the underground caves of Rickwood Caverns State Park or the cool water at Lake Lurleen State Park. Though most area state parks offer RV camping, be sure to check max trailer lengths and hookups before booking. Small, private campgrounds offer a more secluded experience, while bigger RV campgrounds can accommodate larger rigs with shared facilities like clubhouses and pools.
