Choccolocco Creek Campground

Tent site 1 was very private and quiet - exactly what we were looking for! The bathrooms are up a little gravel hill and are closer to all the other sites than this one, but the walk was just fine for us. Bathrooms were very clean and cute and even had some strategically placed screws in the walls to use as hooks for our stuff.

Loved our private tent site! Amazingly hot showers and best campground bathrooms! We had planned to take a hike at Cheaha (very close), but ended up taking a rest day, and our whole family and 2 dogs had a blast! Part of our campsite had a small grade that made it a challenge for our youngest new walker, but I would still rank this 10/10 for a campground! We'll definitely return in the future!

This was a great tent site and it is very close to lots of hiking areas in Talladega National Forest. The campsite was as advertised and we were happy with the site. The bathrooms and showers are really cool too.

A great weekend stay! We had Tent Site #1. Private compared to a lot of other campsites. Nice level ground for the tent. We utilized the fire pit both nights. This site is located at the bottom of the hill, so when it was windy up near the restrooms, it was nice and calm at the site. Speaking of restrooms- Nice little restroom/shower combo inside the farm buildings! Genius touch. Hot showers. This location was perfect for us as it was within a 30 minute drive to the Talladega National Forest and Cheaha State Park. Gorgeous area to visit. Thank you, John!

Once we arrived, we decided it wasn't what we would expect of a campground. Our site was not well defined, it was uneven and the surface was a low lying grass area which we were concerned might become saturated with the coming rains. John was understanding and refunded us in full the following day.

Site #1 tent camping. Clean bathrooms and a responsive host. We also kayaked. We opted for the shorter section which is a 2 1/2 hour float. We will definitely add them to our favorites.

Camp as expected except for the level of the lot. It’s not a fancy place but meets the needs quite well. With add on fees from HipCamp the overnight was about $40.

Tent camping with a a big group.

My group had a great time tent camping at tent campsite 2. The place was nice and clean. The showers and the restrooms were all clean and John kept heaters in both. The creek is a short drive away, however it is a beautiful spot that we enjoyed. Tent campsite 2 did however have a very big decline that campers need to be careful walking down and consider before booking. Also campers need to bring wood. Overall very pleased with the amenities and the privacy.

I had a great time just relaxing ! May host John, was very responsive to any thing I wanted to know about. He meant me about a hour after I arrived and gave me the " lay of the land". Tent site 2 was perfect because it had a 120v outlet and I used it for a small heater that I brought with me. He told me where I could get extra fire wood if need be. He also said I was welcome to any that I could find from old tree falls or limbs and branches that had fallen! The bathrooms, showers and washer and dryer rooms all, were VERY CLEAN and had HEAT and AC ! It was very quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this place, I can not wait to get back !
