Crystal Mountain is beautiful and peaceful. There was a slightly narrow dirt road with a steep hill to reach the camping site, but we were able to bring our 27 foot fifth wheel up without issue.
Maynard was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and gracious. He accepted us on short notice, made sure we had everything we needed to get set up, and came by to introduce himself the next morning. He even gave us some fresh veggies from his garden. Truly the epitome of Southern hospitality. Would happily stay again, and recommend the site.

The directions were clear, and it was a very shady spot nestled under the trees, significant difference with some shade!
Water is available right at the the site and an outhouse just outside the site.
Was in search of nice space and the other reviews did not disappoint! Large fire ring, and firewood and kindling provided and a booklet was left with a description of what they are all about as well as some local places to visit and invitation to visit their woodwork shop and a lovely introduction to their animals.
Would definitely visit again and maybe with more time could explore more options available.
There are some ticks but I didn't find many, just use precautions. And the animal visits AT the site as it is against a fence where some visitors were loved and welcomed ( haha careful the big one can lean rather far over fence and caught me by surprise and is a nibbly greedy boy, lots of personality and attention hog but a sweet beautiful boy. LOVED the big ole donkey and he will be usually first to visit! but also as you come into the site by the firewood are some more lovely animals to appreciate so check them out too!
The host was very kind and welcoming, site was clean and as i was packing up, he had come to check on us on his way to the garden ( located outside site as you pull up) and gave some of his fresh vegetables. Very kind man and a refreshing stay, basic real camping at its best.

Maynard was a good host and It was a nice clean campsite with plenty of shade. Water spigot is close by and free Firewood is available about 100 yards or so away. There’s also an outhouse at the site which is convenient. The animals came to
visit in the evening and that was cool too. The only cons at all were dogs barking constantly in the distance but it wasn’t terrible and there is lots of poison ivy so be mindful of that. We would stay again in the future.

We had a lovely time! Maynard, our host, was very kind and made us feel welcome. Firewood aplenty, running water, and two tables at the site. Very clean and well kept! Bonus points - we didn’t see any ticks after three days, impressive in TN. Our dogs enjoyed romping in the sun near our campsite. We could hear some neighboring hounds at night, and the nearby horses / donkey were sweet. Very quiet throughout the day. Would absolutely visit again!

We picked a HOT weekend but thankfully the campsite is nestled back into the trees. The shade made a noticeable difference in temperature. We were very comfortable despite the heat wave. The site also butts up against a fence line so we were delighted when a group of horses, ponies, goats, and one donkey stopped by to say hi. They were curious but weren’t any trouble. Enjoyed the two nights we were there.

Everything was great! Maynard has great hospitality, he checked in on us a few times as we got set up. Bit of a walk to get large firewood, but it is included so its worth the walk (maybe 100yd if that.). Steep but fun hiking trails right on the property, behind the cabin at the end of the drive. Site was flat and had a great view, it rained our whole visit practically and the ground never flooded. 10/10!

Very Nice Campsite. Maynard was very professional and gave us tips for our next camping adventure. It was very private and there was plenty of firewood available for us to use. All around I would rate 10/10. Would definitely recommend to anyone camping for one night or one week.

WE LOVED CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN AND PLANNED TO RETURN!! Maynard was very professional and friendly, he gave us helpful camping tips and advice and his hospitality was very welcoming. The views were beautiful and so was the campsite. We have nothing to complain about and we highly recommend the campsite at crystal Mountain. We will be booking very shortly again:)
