If you're a lover of outdoor recreation, this is the place to be. Within about a half-hour drive, there are many opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding, kayaking, hunting and fishing, and birding. Nearby parks and forests include Hocking Hills State Park, Hocking Hills State Forest, Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski State Forest, the Moonville Rail Trail, Lake Alma State Park, Tar Hollow State Forest, and more!Set up camp wherever you like! There are 12 acres of open field space, surrounded by 50 acres of wooded hills and hollows with hiking trails and level spots to pitch tents. Vehicles can be driven to the field sites; we are still working on a road to access the hill sites by vehicle. The fields have about a dozen "permanent" sites with stone or metal fire rings and log seating. Portable fire rings are also available that can be moved anywhere. Dead wood for campfires is free to gather, or split firewood is available to purchase for $5/bundle. A toilet and solar shower are located at the center of the property. An outdoor water spigot is also available. Guests are expected to follow the "Leave No Trace" principles. Any trash packed onto the property must be bagged and taken with you.

The Flying J Farm is 250 beautiful rolling acres including 100 acres of forest, 6-acre lake small pond, three streams, and numerous fields for crops and pastures with cows. The owner bought the farm in 1998 for his retirement from a faculty position at the Ohio State university. Two buildings, the farm house and old barn, are original dating back to 1831. These have been restored for current use. The mission of the farm is to restore health both in people though the products produced and in the land by farming in a sustainable way with no conventional chemicals, antibiotics, and use of GMO. We host many visitors including tours and events. An on farm market is available to visitors for purchase of our products including grass-fed beef, maple syrup, and fruits and vegetables.
The cabin was built using wood from the farm. It has off-grid electricity meaning it is powered by batteries charged by solar panels. There is not sufficient power for devices with a heating element such as coffee makers and hair dryers. You may charge cell phones. For any other use, please check with the owner.
Wild Life. There is an abundance of wildlife to be observed on the farm. Deer can be seen at dusk, raccoons can be seen going through your camp food at night (if you put it in your car), turkeys, hawks, vultures, rabbits, coyotes (heard screaming at night), frogs (especially heard at night), fish (jumping), and many song birds (my favorite, the bobolink, May and June only, nesting in the pastures).
Trash. This sustainable farm has no garbage hauling, please carry away your trash.

Visiting the Hocking Hills ? No interest in crowded campgrounds ? you have found 75 acres mostly wooded with trails. Close to and easy access from US 33 There are 4 primitive and secluded campsites around the property for tent camping. I can transport you and your gear to the remote sites. ATV's and Horses are also welcome on the property. Firewood will be provided for free and in abundant amount. The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes, making this the most desirable site for getting full body sun, and shade when wanted in complete privacy. The site above the Rockbridge Winery is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods, making this a preferred site for privacy, shade and easy access to the winery. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle, one out in the open sun and near the driveway while the other is in the coolest spot on the property with a very nice rock formation to admire and secluded for privacy. While on my property, clothing is optional but respect for other campers is expected. Hiking the trails naked rarely encounters other people. Sunny Rest Skyview can accomodate an RV with no hookup, generator is allowed. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. Please keep wheels near the lane if there's any question to the ground conditions and maneuvering your vehicle, please contact me. Apple product GPS will not get you to this location, use the pin on Google Maps.

After crossing a winding creek into 10 acres of woods, you may see deer, turkey, fox, coyote, mink, eagles & barred owls.
In early spring, the peepers are peeping, wildflowers are abundant & the vernal pools welcome the wood frogs, salamanders and fairy shrimp. Summer brings on the bullfrogs, butterflies, dragonflies and fireflies. Fall is a great time to pull grapevine to make wreaths & to build stick forts in the woods.
We cater to the tent camper so that we can hear frogs & owls instead of generators. But, there is an RV section up front for those with quiet generators with several feet of gravel under the grass to hold the weight of your camper.
We charge by the carload & there are different rates for driving back toward the woods for camping depending on the number of wheels & the weight of your vehicle (a factor on the wear & tear on the land). We believe in going outside to play, growing & eating fresh food, strengthening family bonds and promoting the awareness of our natural resources.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1) The speed limit is 5 mph as soon as you enter the property (kids & dogs are quick to dart in front of you). 2) As a state registered campground, it is mandatory that you check in at the house to fill out a Registration Form before heading to your campsite. 3) No glass allowed anywhere on the property (we don't want our feet or paws cut open and can do without flat tires). 4) Children under 18 must be attended to at all times for their safety (the frog pool is 10' deep, the pond is 8-10' deep depending on rains, and the creek can turn into a churning river).

Our farm has been in our family for more than 50 years. It was lovingly purchased by my Cherokee grandmother with the intention of gifting each of her children a piece of land. In 2008, we began raising bison here, and we chose the name Cherokee Valley to honor my heritage and the extraordinary gift passed down from my grandmother and mother.

Your Tipi Stay
Spend the night in our spacious 22-foot tipi, thoughtfully placed to immerse you in the sights and sounds of the ranch. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable queen platform bed provided for your convenience. Guests should bring their own sleeping bags, linens, pillows, and blankets.
The tipi comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests—two on the provided queen bed, with ample room for additional cots or air mattresses you bring. Cots are available to rent as an add-on. You’re also welcome to pitch additional tents or hang hammocks in the surrounding trees, allowing space for up to 10 guests total.
The Ranch Experience
Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch is a working ranch, home to plains bison, honeybees, chickens, and peafowl. We are proud to be a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Certified Firefly Habitat and Monarch Waystation.
Explore our scenic hiking trails that wind through rolling hills, wildflowers, and native grasses. Nature lovers will delight in the abundance of birds, butterflies, and wildlife throughout the property. After your hike, cool off in the clear, pristine creek bordering the ranch (water shoes recommended).
As evening settles in, enjoy a wood-fired meal prepared over your private fire pit/grill, then watch the sunset paint the valley in golden light. Fall asleep to the call of hoot owls, and wake to the soft morning glow filtering through the tipi’s beautifully painted translucent cover.

We’re conveniently located near several wineries, breweries, and outdoor recreation areas, including kayaking, canoeing, golfingnd biking. We’re also close to Legend Valley concert venue, and just a short drive from Buckeye Lake, Dillon Dam, and Hocking Hills.

A 400ft trail winds from the cabin to the river where visitors will find a roofed shelter with a picnic table, a 36" fire ring, a second steel solo stove, cooking tripod on the primary fire ring with a grill, and some basic utensils.

McKee Farm is rich in memories and rich in history. It has been in the family for over 150 years and we were told that it was one of stopping points for the underground railroad. The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns.
Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. Built using recycled electric poles, Tullihas in the Trees has a deck perfect for hammocking, an interior dressed with windows so that guests can feel as if they are living amongst the trees, and two small lofts ideal for a restful night's sleep.
Oxley in the Woods is our newest treehouse cabin. Nestled in the woods with a view of the sunset, the lovely A Frame is filled with lovely woodwork, vintage parquet flooring, and private wooded views. The deck is huge! We've had guests set up a tent on the deck beside the treehouse for fun! Swings, and a slide make the Oxley a fun adventure. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy.
The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time.
Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table.
Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. Tullihas in the Trees provides a perfect remote and rustic getaway for anyone.
In October and November, access to hiking is limited.

Welcome to Our family farm of 170 acre ! We are two sisters with our husbands and children want to share with you our peaceful farm. Surrounded by Hills, Creeks, Woods, and Beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets! We are settled in the Hills of White Eyes Township. There is lots of history of Native Americans, and the first settlers in this area ( there is a great outdoor play based on a true story called Trumpet in the Land about 30 min from our location) On our farm you may still be able to find arrow heads in the creek bottoms! There is lots of wildlife that may wander through your camp site. The air is full of fresh Country smells. Some tame animals that you will see are Lowline cows ( miniature cows), Chickens, Pigs, Miniature Donkeys, Dogs, Cats.
North of us 20 minutes you will find Sugarcreek ( the little Switzerland ) as well as south east of us Coshocton with canoeing and biking trails as well as Roscoe Village.

Established in 1949, Sunnyvale Farm is a working family farm offering convenient, trail‑adjacent camping near some of Southeast Ohio’s best outdoor and university attractions. Located just minutes from the Bailey Mountain Bike Trail System, Ohio University, and the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway, our sites provide an easy‑access base camp for RV travelers, cyclists, and guests eager to explore the region.
The farm spans approximately 160 acres along the Hocking River, with a mix of open fields and forested hillsides. Our campground area is not secluded and is situated along a secondary state route, which makes it easy to find and navigate. While guests may notice daytime traffic, the area is generally quiet overnight and well‑suited for active visitors who plan to spend their days exploring and return to rest in the evening.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the farm—visit our friendly goat, walk down to the river for fishing, pick seasonal fruit (blackberries ripen in late summer), or hike the surrounding hills and woodlands. Informal walking paths are available, with additional trails planned as the farm continues to evolve.

Our property features a private fishing pond home to largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish, along with an 8' × 12' dock, open grassy areas, and plenty of space to relax. Spend your days fishing from the bank or dock, swimming, paddling around the pond, relaxing by the campfire, watching wildlife, or simply enjoying the slower pace of the outdoors.
Guests can choose from three unique ways to stay:
🏕️ Pondside Campsite – A walk-in tent campsite located beside the pond with easy access to fishing, swimming, and pondside amenities.
🚐 RV Site – A private RV site with 30 amp and 20 amp electric, non-potable water, and daytime access to the pond. RV guests also enjoy access to our gray building with a mini fridge and microwave.
🌲 Entire Property – Reserve both sites together for exclusive use of the campground, pond, dock, and shared amenities. Perfect for families, friends, or groups who want the property to themselves.

My family cannot get enough of Christy’s farm. We’ve been coming for 6 years, and it’s still our favorite camp spot. Christy’s welcoming vibes and attention to detail make it magical. Fishing, frog pond, creek, ducks and chickens and the pollinator maze keeps us entertained all weekend.
My kiddos are 10 and 7.

The small cabin made it very enjoyable. The 2 of us along with a dog managed well. The AC worked well, the Keurig and Microwave we didn't use. We had planned on cooking over the firepit though by the time the day was done we were too exhausted to start the fire and let the dog run in the soaked muddy ground from all the rain over the past 2 weeks. The self-checkin made it easy along with the colored map to find the cabin. The solar shower I didn't get a chance to use. Only once did I hear the neighbors and that was when I let the dog out late at night. To avoid the rain, the small cabin made it worth it.

Great site awesome to have the pond right there to fish. My daughter caught so many blue gill she lost count so great for young kids that are inpatient she had a blast. I caught 3 bass in the pond as well. Close easy drive to Logan and Hocking Hills trails and has a great bathroom if your using the tent spot and don’t have an RV. Hope to come back again in the future!

We had a great experience at Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch! The campsite was very nice and clean, and the tepee was so cool! Such a unique experience! The bison were in the field when we arrived, we didn’t have to wait at all to see them. There were several young calves as well, very cute.

The A-frame treehouse is one of the best places I’ve stayed. A peaceful, quiet and off-grid retreat where you can put your feet up and enjoy the view. Plenty of places nearby to hike, fish and kayak if you’re in the mood to explore.
The hosts were friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely head that way again!

Wonderful woodland campsite! Nestled along the lake, this established camp had lovely campsites. These sites are deep in the woods and the ones that recommend 4x4 will need it as the sites are steep at the parking portion but level and ample in the camping area portion. If you’re camping in your vehicle, I recommend leveling blocks. Very cool place.

Mark was great and this was a great spot to come for all the parks down here pretty and central to a lot of stuff the camp spot we got had electric and water available too and a picnic table ll. Also looks like they'll have some little cabins here soon. Definitely will be back and he gave us a bundle of firewood as well super cool guy! I wanted to go explore a little more but ran short on time will be back

I’m a repeat at McKee farms. It’s an amazing place to escape to outside of the city. We opened the rooftop tent next to the corncrib threw up hammocks and enjoyed the sunset and sunrises. Always so thoughtful, everything you need, nothing you don’t. See you again soon

If you're looking to truly disconnect and get back to nature, this place delivers in spades. The land here is absolutely gorgeous – rolling terrain that feels like you've stepped into your own private slice of wilderness.
Jim is a fantastic host who clearly cares about creating a welcoming environment for everyone. He's knowledgeable about the area and always ready to help with recommendations or just chat about the local wildlife.
The clothing-optional aspect adds to the liberating, back-to-nature experience. There's something incredibly freeing about being able to enjoy the outdoors without any barriers between you and the environment. The property is very secluded, so privacy is never an issue – you can truly relax and unwind.

We loved camping here. It all starts when you pull up to the self check-in / camp store. The store offered a variety of things to enhance your trip and had maps of the land and trails associated. The property was well maintained and all the sites had access to the stream running through the property. The trails were fun to hike on (be prepared for the rapid elevation changes) and the road running along the front of the property was pretty limited use and quiet. We will definitely be back.
