A picturesque riverside camping location with an 8ft deep swimming area and downstream pebble beach for sunning in the afternoon. Enchanting seasonal wetland filled with black willow trees to explore and a stone ridge that overlooks the a meadow and tree lined river. Long gravel drive with a turnaround for parking and a small cabin that is undergoing renovations. A 400ft trail winds from the cabin to the river where visitors will find a roofed shelter with a picnic table, a 36" fire ring, a second steel solo stove, cooking tripod on the primary fire ring with a grill, and some basic utensils. I stay at the cabin when I am doing work on the property but am a long distance from the campsite. If I will be there at any point during your stay, I will be sure to let you know! Thanks in advance and have fun!Your party has access to the full property - we do not book multiple groups simultaneously! The entire riverfront is at your disposal (approximately 500ft of riverfront). We mow a large area where the cabin trail meets the river, which accommodates four 2-person tents. There is also plenty of additional camping space along the river if any of your group prefers more privacy! More direct sunlight can be enjoyed downstream or near the cabin, where you are also free to spend time or set up other tents. **There is a cabin and barn at the gravel driveway that I live in part time while I build it out and work on the infrastructure of the property, so you might see me! I'll be sure to let you know if I will be visiting during your stay, but will otherwise be very much out of the way :) **

Carlos was a great and accommodating host. We enjoyed fishing the swimming hole and were lucky enough to catch some bass. The wagon is large and in charge, so it was super simple to get our gear to the site.

We LOVED camping on Carlos's property! We didn't take advantage of the swimming hole since the weather wasn't super hot, but we did take our dog to Pebble Beach to throw her ball with her. It was her first time playing in water like that. She had a blast! No cell service so be prepared for that. We will most definitely be back!

We loved tent camping on Carlos property! Everything was as advertised and then some! Carlos was extremely friendly, and quick to answer any questions I had. Even after a 30 minute downpour, the camp dried up nicely and the shelter was super handy. We will definitely be back to stay again!

The campsite has all of the amenities you could want and more! Flat, cleared grass area for a tent, a covered shelter with grilling tools, an awesome tripod with grill grate. The creek was a great entertainment for my daughter and me. The only downside was some road traffic but that dissipated at night. We did enjoy hearing the horse and buggies clop by though. Be prepared for mosquitoes but to be expected when camping. We would return.

2nd time at this HipCamp

This was my second time camping at this HipCamp. Last was for one day last September, and this time was for two days. That should be a good indicator that it was worth a repeat visit! The little picnic bench shelter (maybe 12x12?) was super handy for the 45 minutes of rain I had on the 2nd day. I timed the walk from my car to the camp, annd the trail only takes 90 seconds. And the utility cart for hauling equipment? Such a smart idea. I don’t camp lightly, and it only took two trips with the cart. I could see it taking a good 8-9 trips without the cart. Only negative is there is some road noise, but it dies down significantly overnight. My Apple Watch gave me a 93 sleep score, which is pretty good for sleeping on the ground. :)

The site was awesome! Carlos was a great guy and super accommodating. We are hoping to head back when it’s warmer so we can fully take advantage of the swimming hole. Cell service was very spotty.

Had a good experience. Would recommend to check this area out. I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted due to stormy weather. Once you get to the camping area, you have excellent privacy. I only had two issues: 1. I didn't have any cell service, wifi, no roaming in this area. 2. I arrived Friday evening. There was quite a bit of traffic, even after dark. In the future, I would be willing to come here again to see if I have better luck. Overall, I still rate this area 9/10.

I loved the campground and has been one of the best places i have stayed! Carlo was very friendly and a good host, we tried fishing but unfortunately we didn’t catch anything but we will try again next time we stop there!

Had a great time! The weather didn’t cooperate but we still had a good weekend. Early spring wasn’t ideal for swimming but the fishing was fun 🙂 spring wild flowers were starting to bloom and looked lovely.

The site is perfect for a family trip to get some fresh air and swimming time. The river is close and deep, the grassy areas are flat and don't have rocks so sleeping bags can be very comfy. There's a big firepit, and room to spread out.

We had a great time at the swimming hole- the host Carlos answered all of our questions and the location was so cool. We took two 8 year old boys and they were in heaven fishing and playing in the creek. We are already aiming on bringing them back in the spring. Nice and flat terrain for our tent and picnic table was clutch. Definitely would recommend.

Wow, what an amazing stay! Carlos was such a friendly and helpful host, and his directions made getting there super easy. The campsite was beautifully set up and had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The creek was wonderful and we loved waking up to the peaceful surroundings. You can really tell how much care has gone into this place. We’re already planning our next trip back!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was right by the river, with a covered pick nick table, plenty of free firewood, a place to fish or swim. There were a number of spots to pitch a tent with out roots, nice even ground. A place to cook was also a nice touch.

Great little piece of land. It had lots of little things other places don’t have, like hammocks and floats for the creek. Access to the swimming hole and pebble beach are down some pretty steep embankments, but there are ropes there to pull yourself up, if you’re so inclined. The shelter over the picnic bench was nice too, though rain wasn’t a factor for me. I didn’t time it, but it’s about a 60-90 second walk from the parking area to the campsite. Carlos has a cart there for hauling your stuff to the site. Instead of making 4 trips carrying things, I made it in just one trip with the cart. Wanting peace and quiet on my solo trip, I was a little concerned about road noise due to the proximity to the road. It ended up being a non-issue for me, as the road was sparsely traveled during the day, and almost no overnight traffic (that I noticed!).

Seasoned tent camper here! This is one of the most magical campsites we’ve ever stayed at, the nature, the water, the land, it was all amazing. Hammocks, fire pits, wood, axes and a wagon were there and we used all of it which was so helpful. We swam, fished & explored! We even booked an extra day and are counting down the days until we come again. A million perfect recommend!
