Purchased in 2019, these overgrown acres are now a federally registered Farm with the crop being Trees, and have a 10 year Woodland Stewardship Management Plan with the Ohio Dept of Natural Resources. I will be working hard over the years to bring this back to a healthy stand of mixed hardwoods, full of wildlife habitat, and native vegetation. 2024 saw the start of our EQIP contract which includes killing the non-native invasives, like Tree of Heaven, Autumn Olive, Honeysuckle, and more. 2025 was planting, staking, and tubing of 800 tree seedlings, including Black Walnut, Red Oak, Scarlet Oak, Sugar Maple, Persimmon, and Tulip Poplar. 2026 we will be planting another 600 native trees and shrubs consisting of 55 species! https://www.facebook.com/share... Learn more about this land: Enjoy approximately 10 wooded acres with hiking trails cut throughout. A common area has a Fire Ring, Outhouse, Water Station, Picnic Tables and Seats, where you can socialize with fellow campers, whether they be family, old friends, or new acquaintances. Or you can retreat a short distance away to your own campsite, for some alone time. The two campsites are adjacent to each other, but divided by walls of brush and newly planted shrubs. You may hear other campers, but your space is well defined. It is approximately 100 ft from the center of one campsite to the next, and a similar distance from the center of each campsite to the common area. Hiking trails are cut throughout the woods, so feel free to explore. Just stay within the wire fence lines to avoid crossing onto neighboring private lands. The main pond seen from the parking area is off limits for liability reasons. I am working on a smaller ravine pond in the woods, which I will stock with fish for feeding. This is a Federal and State managed Woodland, so please do no harm to any living tree or plant. Feel free to pick up any dead wood for use in the fire ring. (Cut Firewood also provided for free at campsite. Do not bring your own firewood.) We have a self serve store, that will have charcoal, farm fresh eggs, and other seasonal and camping items. Bring some cash. 15 minutes from The Wilds. 10 minutes from I-70, New Concord exit. 15 minutes from I-77 and Cambridge, via 660.

Dogwood Cabin is an off grid experience. Think glamping. It is set on 25 acres in the rolling hills of Morgan County in southeast OH, close to the village of Chesterhill. Hidden in the woods, back a gravel driveway. No electricity, no running water, no central heat, no WiFi, no cell service. Truly getting out into nature without distractions. Hang your hammock between trees. Build a fire to grill your meals. Relax on the porch swing or by the fire. Hike the property, play in the creek. Dogwood Cabin has a small kitchenette. There is a propane camping stove and some pots, pans, coffee maker, and dishes. We have a grill to place over the fire pit. There are 4 mattresses in the loft. No linens. Bring sleeping bags, etc. No running water. Bring water in jugs for drinking, cleaning up and dousing the fire. Buddy propane heater to take off the chill inside, but not make it cozy. Bring a flashlight or lantern. We have several battery lanterns. On low, the lights should work for 6-8 hours. On high, much less. An outhouse (think wooden porta potty) is not far from the cabin. No cell service or internet. Chesterhill is about 2 miles and has service in numerous places on Main St. We have gone up the hill at the church in Todds - right on Goshen Run, left on St Rt 377, about 2 miles. Firewood is not provided. You can bring your own or scrounge the woods for dead branches and twigs. Please douse the fire before leaving. Rake leaves away from the fire pit. Dry materials could easily start a forest fire. 8 plastic deck chairs are stacked on the porch. Please put them back and secure the cover before you leave. We encourage you to get groceries on your way to the cabin, since it is 30 minutes to a decent grocery store. Chesterhill has Ron's Convenience and Restaurant where you can buy subs, pizza, burgers, fries, and groceries. Triple Nickel Diner in Chesterhill is another neat place to eat. No motorcycles on the driveway. You may enjoy hiking the 25 acres on the property. Nature is awesome, but check yourselves and your pet for ticks. 24 hours before your arrival, you should receive a message with the code to get in at the digital entry door, plus a bit more information that you may enjoy.

Located in the rolling Appalachian hills of Southeast Ohio. This farm has been in our family since 1869 when our relatives settled here from Germany. Originally farmed for cattle and sheep with many orchards over the years our property is now mostly mature forest. Southeast Ohio, including our property is known for its hilly topography and microclimates. Hills range from 400 to 1,100 feet. Nearly 500 acres of land with an additional 200+ acres of Wayne National Forest adjacent to our farm and close proximity to other Wayne areas for outdoor activities. We have nearly 10 miles of available trails for hiking. Many activities can be done at or centered around our property. Such as excellent and challenging road biking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, kayaking and boating. We are two miles from the Little Muskingum River. A great river for kayak trips. The Wayne Kinderhook horse and hiking trail is roughly 5 miles from our location. Hike the Irish Run Natural Land bridge trail also a short drive to the trailhead from our property. Ride your motorcycle up Rt. 26 a great Ohio byway for scenic driving. This is also a great home base for dual sport or adventure bike motorcycle riders to camp while adventuring along gravel roads through Appalachia. If motorcycles aren't your method of entertainment and travel. Bring your horse and ride on several of our trails. From steep ascents to long flat ridge lines, you will have lots of time to immerse yourself with nature while hiking. We're next to a section of the Wayne National Forest and a short drive to other similar Wayne activity sites. If you like to camp, but don't want the busy public park experience then you will enjoy the privacy of our camping location. We are also only about a 20-minute drive to downtown Marietta. Where you can find restaurants, bars, and many other fun activities.

The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns. Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy. The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time. Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table. Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. We loved camping here! The camping spot was so nice with the wooden base for our tent and the picnic table. They put flowers on the picnic table which was very cute. Also everything you need for a fire and cooking over the fire. The outhouse was the best outhouse we’ve seen hipcamping. It was so clean and had extra supplies. The land is also beautiful for walking and hiking. The hike was hard but worth it through the forest. It was all maintained very well. We saw the horses when it started to get dark and they did come to our campsite while we were sleeping which was very cool. They are a very sweet couple who made sure you have everything you could need during your stay and we will definitely be coming back! We had a great time here.

I was looking for a relaxing birthday getaway and am so glad I found the Wild Pines! The pups and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pine Cove. The site and the rest of the property was beautiful, and you can tell how much thought and pride Tom & Melissa have poured into this place. The site had everything we needed and more…we are used to primitive/tent camping, so the amenities here were so nice to have! We enjoyed exploring the property, relaxing by the fire, and just being immersed in Nature. It was so quiet and lovely, and exactly what we needed. We even got to experience a cozy evening in the tent listening to a summer thunderstorm. Thanks so much, we will definitely be back!

2 nights at McKee Farm - Treehouses and Camping

I’m a repeat at McKee farms. It’s an amazing place to escape to outside of the city. We opened the rooftop tent next to the corncrib threw up hammocks and enjoyed the sunset and sunrises. Always so thoughtful, everything you need, nothing you don’t. See you again soon

Loved this spot. It was very quiet and secluded. The walk back was made easier with the mulched path and cart provided. Bathrooms and main pavilion area were very clean and nicely stocked. Would definitely stay here again in the future

Great spot for the weekend to use as base camp to go through the parks. There are several spots there with a few that have permanent spots set up. Easy to get in and out of property. Would stay here again if we come back to explore more parks.

Weekend Trip to Pop's Place Camping

Pop's Place is a great place to stay! I car camped in one of the tent/RV sites and added on a bundle of firewood, which was very generous and thoughtfully placed at my site before I arrived. While my spot was next to the road, there was very little car traffic after 10 PM. The property is extremely well maintained, and Ed and Michelle are just delightful people—so welcoming and friendly. The portable toilet and outdoor shower were absolutely spotless, and I loved the cute little touches in the décor. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Pop's Place to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-kept place to camp!

Weekend Trip to McKee Farm - Treehouses and Camping

Carol and Autumn were amazing hosts. Whenever we had questions the responded promptly and always helped. The place is beautiful and I highly recommend. I would say that it’s a tight squeeze for 4, if you want to bring more than 3 people, I would tell you to bring a blow up mattress or plan to sleep in a tent on the deck.

This is such a fun getaway, especially with kids. My kids really enjoyed the pond and hot tub. The cabin is equipped with everything you need for a short stay and the attention to detail really showed. I would 100% recommend. 😊

Weekend Trip to Pop's Place Camping

The Bear Cabin was superb. Very comfortable, they had already set the AC before we got there. They had firewood available, if we wanted it. This is our second time here and the owners are amazingly friendly and helpful.
