Site 1 - WALKAbOUT Creek Primitive
Carl is an amazing host. He is always making sure you are happy with your stay and willing to help if you have a need. He is working continually to make improvements the the property. I highly recommend Walkabout Creek.

Beautiful property perfect for a peaceful getaway! Cabin has everything you need, even the bed is very comfortable. Grounds are perfect for exploring and even though not far from town you still feel like you’re in the middle of nature all by yourself!

Site 12 - WALKAbOUT Creek Electric
The private location was great, the welcome staff was warm and informative, and we really appreciated Carl coming by to personally welcome us. We also appreciated the flexibility to move to another space that had shade! Can't give it a "great" rating however -- we wish the bathroom was 1. labelled (we had trouble finding it!) --even a simple sign would suffice and 2. VENTILATED and ideally, air-conditioned. It was SO hot and stuffy and humid inside, it made the shower feel almost worthless.

Quiet and Relaxing
We love it here! This is our second time staying at Walkabout, and the kids had a great time. We stayed in a cabin that was well maintained and secluded but still close to restrooms and the shelter house. The land is beautiful and quiet, and it was easy to visit the state park nearby.

Really enjoyed camping at WalkAbout Creek. The cabinet was very cozy, but had plenty of room for everything. It was quiet and secluded. Carl is very kind and accommodating. Wifi, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and the bathroom with a shower are really great features. Enjoyed fishing in the pond.
I would definitely go back!

Cabin 1 is just as described. Large private area away from the RV’s. Be aware that there are raccoons that will come to the front porch to look for food at night.
