Nearby parks and forests include Hocking Hills State Park, Hocking Hills State Forest, Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski State Forest, the Moonville Rail Trail, Lake Alma State Park, Tar Hollow State Forest, and more!Set up camp wherever you like! Visiting the Hocking Hills ? No interest in crowded campgrounds ? you have found 75 acres mostly wooded with trails. Close to and easy access from US 33 There are 4 primitive and secluded campsites around the property for tent camping. I can transport you and your gear to the remote sites. ATV's and Horses are also welcome on the property. Firewood will be provided for free and in abundant amount. The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes, making this the most desirable site for getting full body sun, and shade when wanted in complete privacy. The site above the Rockbridge Winery is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods, making this a preferred site for privacy, shade and easy access to the winery. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle, one out in the open sun and near the driveway while the other is in the coolest spot on the property with a very nice rock formation to admire and secluded for privacy. While on my property, clothing is optional but respect for other campers is expected. Hiking the trails naked rarely encounters other people. Sunny Rest Skyview can accomodate an RV with no hookup, generator is allowed. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. Please keep wheels near the lane if there's any question to the ground conditions and maneuvering your vehicle, please contact me. Apple product GPS will not get you to this location, use the pin on Google Maps.

FIREWOOD and seasonal farm goods are available for purchase at a self-serve stand (several payment options available). There is also a wonderful sauna on the property that can be reserved (go to sauna to reserve a time).
Great hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, swimming, and disc-golfing opportunities just a few miles away at Paint Creek State Park and the Highland Nature Sanctuary. Amish country is also just 15 minutes away with a great bakery, markets and greenhouses. This area is home to an impressive network of ancient earthworks including the world famous Serpent Mound.
Our accommodations range from primitive tent-camping to "glamping" in one of our tiny off-grid cabins. The sites are spaced out for privacy and each site offers a private picnic table and fire pit. There are two shared privies/outhouses which have basic composting toilets (not flushing). A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1).
***Please take note that this is private property and the host lives on site. If you are looking for a place to be loud and party into the night, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend some quality time in nature, welcome. There are rules.

Your Tipi Stay
Spend the night in our spacious 22-foot tipi, thoughtfully placed to immerse you in the sights and sounds of the ranch. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable queen platform bed provided for your convenience. Guests should bring their own sleeping bags, linens, pillows, and blankets.
The tipi comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests—two on the provided queen bed, with ample room for additional cots or air mattresses you bring. Cots are available to rent as an add-on. You’re also welcome to pitch additional tents or hang hammocks in the surrounding trees, allowing space for up to 10 guests total.
The Ranch Experience
Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch is a working ranch, home to plains bison, honeybees, chickens, and peafowl. We are proud to be a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Certified Firefly Habitat and Monarch Waystation.
Explore our scenic hiking trails that wind through rolling hills, wildflowers, and native grasses. Nature lovers will delight in the abundance of birds, butterflies, and wildlife throughout the property. After your hike, cool off in the clear, pristine creek bordering the ranch (water shoes recommended).
As evening settles in, enjoy a wood-fired meal prepared over your private fire pit/grill, then watch the sunset paint the valley in golden light. Fall asleep to the call of hoot owls, and wake to the soft morning glow filtering through the tipi’s beautifully painted translucent cover.

We’re conveniently located near several wineries, breweries, and outdoor recreation areas, including kayaking, canoeing, golfingnd biking. We’re also close to Legend Valley concert venue, and just a short drive from Buckeye Lake, Dillon Dam, and Hocking Hills.

We have 5 acres of mainly field and forest with a small creek running through it. All of our camp sites are located across the creek away from our home to give everyone privacy if desired.
The great part of our property is that we are 3 min from 270 and getting to downtown columbus, osu, easton, etc all are only 15-25 min away.
Its peaceful and green here with lots of bunnies, deer, racoons, cats, and dogs with the occasional fox or coyote. Our dogs are normally off leash but if you are uncomfortable around dogs we are happy to keep them inside for your stay.
We are avid boardgamers and if you feel like company we are most likely up for a game or billards. If you would like privacy we just shut the bridge gate and you have all the forest to yourself :)

This property is conveniently located within 20 minutes of the UNESCO World Heritage Hopewell Mound sites, Legend Valley, and Buckeye Lake (30 minutes), as well as OSU Newark, Denison University, the Longaberger Basket Building, and Dawes Arboretum. Grocery stores and restaurants are nearby, with a gas station and mini market just half a mile down the road. Columbus city center is about a 45–50 minute drive.
The drive here follows scenic country roads, so please be mindful of winding turns and local wildlife along the way. While visiting, you may hear or see our chickens and pups, though they stay close to the house.

Park and follow a trail through a canopy of trees to the geo-dome camp site. Furnished with a queen bed and comfortable indoor seating, you can enjoy the air conditioned dome while sipping your morning coffee. We supply local coffee, organic teas and our farm fresh eggs for your breakfast!
Outside there is a grated fire pit with a bundle of firewood provided, seating, table-top griddle and a few short steps away - some lounge chairs to star gaze! (More firewood is available for sale - just contact Susan or Jeff)

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Woody Acres and I honestly can't recommend it enough. Kate and Austin are so friendly and welcoming. You can see the thought and care they put into every aspect of their property. The Peppermint Patty Wagon and outdoor cooking area are great and had everything we needed and more. The property is remote enough to feel like you're getting away but close enough to all the great hiking spots and cool litte towns. The outdoor shower is amazing after a long day of hiking and i even took a dip in the pond. We loved everything including the wildflowers, the gardens, the amazing stars, beautiful sunsets, the humming birds and 8 point buck. This place is truly magical.

My buddy and I had a wonderful time at Jim's over Labor Day weekend! We came to hike at Hocking Hills, and the trails were only 10-30 minutes away. We had a late request to switch to Fern Valley Rock, which all worked out. Jim was a great host; he was attentive, welcoming, helpful, and friendly.
For details about our site, it was tucked in the back of the property. It was cool and stayed a little damp (in the mornings especially). Getting too hot wasn't an issue, but hang-drying items took longer. Around Labor Day the creek behind the site wasn't very deep and only trickled, so we brought our own water and bathed at Lake Logan. You could purify creek water if desired, though. We liked to walk out to the clearing to quietly view stars at night. Jim provided plenty of firewood (and a car jump when my battery died!).
We loved the winery that neighbored the other end of Jim's property! It was a short hike with some elevation gain. The winery had a unique back deck with live entertainment (Jim drummed with the performer for a bit). The owner, Bryan was very knowledgeable and happy to serve some of Jim's campers. We got a camper's discount on the wine slushies! We also sampled a couple wine flights. They had solid wines all around (try Buster), and their specialty and spicy wines were well worth tasting and fairly priced. We wish we could've went again (closed Mon-Wed I beleive). I'm hoping they deliver instead!
I'll be sure to stay with Jim again if I'm ever back!

Wonderful remote campsite with very clean compost toilet that is cleaned regularly. Your view will be nothing but beautiful forest. There is a beautiful lookout at the top of a hill to watch stars too!!

Aimee responded quickly to messages before I arrived and she provided all the info needed. The site I was on was well cared for and very private. The trails I saw were very well maintained and the signage was excellent. (The next time I come I'll do a bit more walking.) Having small wagons available to haul water and supplies along the path across the small ravine was MOST appreciated!
The friendly camp cat was an added bonus.

Loved the yurt/furniture and the amenities provided (tea kettle, solar light, plenty of firewood)! Went for just an overnight away from home for me and the pup to relax. and it didn't disappoint. The camp stove was great, outhouse was nice and clean. Was nice to just sit my chair in the stream and cool off!

Hannah and Jason are friendly, giving, wonderful hosts and have a lovely wooded backyard. I’m thankful they are sharing their beautiful property with others. We were in town for the Hocking Hills Craft Show and this was the perfect spot if you don’t mind a short 30 minute-ish drive. We would take seclusion and a deal over being directly where all the action is and boy was that worth it here. It’s a very well kept area. The spots each had a fire pit and picnic bench. There’s also a portapotty on the property!

We just wrapped up our fourth visit to Nature's Way, and once again, this place delivered exactly what we were looking for. There's something special about finding a camping spot that gets it, the peace, the privacy, and the freedom that comes with clothing-optional camping.
What keeps us coming back:

The natural setting is gorgeous, with mature trees providing both shade and that sense of being completely immersed in nature. Whether you're new to clothing-optional camping or a seasoned naturist, you have your own private campsite. This is not a group or commune type setting.
After four visits, we can confidently say Nature's Way has become our go-to spot for truly unwinding. Already planning our next trip back – this place has earned our loyalty for good reason.

This place was wonderful! We chose to camp in the area on a whim and were blown away by how nice the place was. Aimee does a great job with the land. We stayed at campsite 4, a cozy little clearing through the woods with a serene meadow and perfect view of the stars. Would come again!
