We have visited this site twice... it's beautiful, quiet, and very clean. The lavatory is close to the site, and often smells... so this is something to take into consideration.

Beautiful, quiet and secluded property. The shelter was great to hang my hammock in without the sun beating down on me. Although I was camping solo, there is plenty of room for a larger group. Will definitely come back and recommend to others.

Frank’s place was such an awesome weekend getaway! It felt very private and safe. We loved the pavilion especially since we had rain the majority of our trip. The outhouse is a typical outhouse.🤷♀️ Only thing to consider is that you’re close to the road so you’ll have some cars passing. Probably only 12 cars passed the whole weekend so it really was a pretty private road. We were left alone on a beautiful hill overlooking trees, thanks again Frank for having us!

Family and Friends had a great time at Triple D Retreat. Property was mowed the morning of our arrival and clean. Outhouse was clean and served its purpose. The 14x40 foot shelter was perfect as it did rain one afternoon and was large enough to provide cover for 4 tents and the picnic table. Plenty of shaded areas. Property was close enough to several area attractions. Property owner, Frank, was very prompt and helpful with replies to questions. Would definitely stay there again.

If you’re looking for a quite place to relax
With lots of fun things to do locally you will definitely want to check this place out.
Lots of space for a couple or large group.
The shelter is great along with a picnic table Fire Ring and a pit toilet. We will be back.

Franks place is a true Hocking Hills experience. It sits off a small, quiet road on top of a mountain. Very little local traffic and no tourist traffic. Nothing but the sounds of nature the whole time I was there. It has a well maintained path cut to a big lower level area about 20 feet below. Great place.

Great camp spot. Super clean and spacious. The owner (Frank) stopped by briefly to bring firewood and say hello. Super nice guy and wonderful host. This was my second trip to Triple D. Love it and will definitely be back.

We had a great time tent camping at this site, it was clean and well taken care of. The area is beautiful and the wood bundles we got were top notch hard wood. We were impressed and will be staying again soon!

The covered shelter area with the picnic table was great to have as the area experienced some massive rain during my stay. Great to be able to set up everything not have to worry about getting soaked. I'm sure in the summer it provides some great shade also.
I requested some bundles of wood for the stay. Was not sure how much firewood would be avabile close by. The wood was dry and burned easily, even with the amount of rain we had.
I would offer a suggestion to the owner. When I pulled up, there were turkey hunters hanging out and thought it was part of the forest. Was not a big deal. They packed up and left within a few minutes. To avoid confusion, I would put up some private property postings.

Frank was a great host. With all the rain we ended up stuck and he was gracious and came to our rescue. This, despite us ignoring his advice on where to park the camper due to the immense rain they've been having. This was our second time on his property and both have been excellent, quiet, secluded experiences. We'll be back again for sure.

This is a great site with plenty of room. The shelter was great. Perfect spot to watch the sunrise and the moon was fabulous. If you’re craving peace and quiet this is the place for you. There is a lot of history in the area and lots of roads to go overlanding and exploring.

We tent camped on Frank’s land during Autumn time and it was lovely. It rained the first evening we stayed, which led us to putting our tent underneath the shelter! It was a wonderful option! The sounds of nature, minimal neighborly contact, and freedom to wander a bit was exactly what we needed.
A detail that may be important to other campers: the site is very close to a quiet off-road. This road used by locals, so if you have small children or dogs, this is something to consider.

This is quiet and private space just down the road from Lake Hope State Park. This is close to the road, but no one uses that road, I saw 3 cars in 2 nights staying there.
Having the shelter was nice, plus there's a table and a tall spool, and of course an outhouse.

My parents and I had a fantastic stay at Frank's place. It was secluded, quiet, and a perfect location for exploring the Hocking Hills. Frank was very communicative. We loved the fire ring and open meadow where we camped.
