Great biking base camp!
We loved our stay here! We stayed at site 1, which is a beautiful, secluded space on the border of the Wayne National Forest. We could see the campers at site 2 through the trees, but they were far enough away that this still felt very private. Our host, Keith, was very friendly and accommodating, even when a change of plans caused us to arrive several hours later than we had intended. We greatly appreciated his UTV shuttle to get our gear to and from our site - it’s less than a quarter of a mile walk, but it’s up a steep and gravely hill. There are also great restroom facilities, including showers, near the parking area.
Bring your bike! This site is an ideal location for access to gravel riding or the Bailey’s mountain bike trail system. Several Bailey’s trails are quickly accessible from the road within half a mile, and it’s just a 2.7 mile gravel road ride to the Chauncey-Dover trailhead park.
10/10 will stay here again.

Fantastic wooded location on the border of Wayne National Forest. Our tent was less than 20 feet from the border. Also, fantastic ownership. The campsite was about 1/8 of a mile from the parking area, but free rides on a UTV were great to load and unload. Also, the place has brand new bathrooms and showers close to the parking area. If I must complain about something maybe the water pressure in the showers and maybe some folks don't like well water? I was fine with it all and give this place 5 stars, 10/10, two thumbs up, would recommend.
PS We were visiting for the annual Paw Paw Festival. This campsite was and east 20-25 minute drive from the festival and well worth it.

Secluded Quiet Camping
Very secluded which is what I look for in a campsite! You can juuuuust barely see their other campsite through the trees but we couldn’t hear our neighbors at all.
The hike up the hill is no joke and currently cannot handle vehicles but the host was great and brought us and all our excessive camping gear up the site on his Polaris. There is a metal fire ring and picnic table and enough room to accommodate our 5m bell tent but the ground is kind of uneven so if you’ve got a very large tent, I hope you’ve got an air mattress!
The bathrooms are like new and very clean!
We went for a walk straight from camp and found wild pawpaws and a ton of interesting mushrooms and ended up on the Bailey bike trail (I’ll have to bring my mountain bike back!

Nice camping and great hosts
There were two main things I liked about our stay. The first is that the campsite was nice and we felt like we were alone. We could see the other campsite, so keep that in mind, but they were pretty far away from us so we couldn’t over hear their conversations. As long as the other campers aren’t rowdy this shouldn’t be a problem. The other thing I liked was that the owners were very accommodating. You couldn’t drive up to the campsite which was a bummer, but they would shuttle you up as many times as you would like. You could tell they loved having people over to stay and that was awesome to see. They had a nice little piece of property and I will stay here again in the future.

10/10
We had a great stay at Benton’s at the Baileys’s for the weekend. We stayed at campsite 2 which was very spacious and private. Keith was an amazing host, very accommodating and helped shuttle our gear to the campsite even in the dark. The campsite stayed pretty dry even though we had some light rain. I definitely recommend this site and look forward to returning in the future.

We reserved a "Secluded Ridge Top Site" which included a clear photo of the camp site. We also received instructions after we booked: "Once you arrive to our address you can either hike to the campsite or you can have us shuttle you up in on UTV."
In short, the host was friendly and responsive to our needs. The site was clean and spacious. The bathrooms are at base camp level which we adapted to.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and a perfect place for a relaxing weekend in nature. We were the only campers up top, but the camps are set up so that if there were other guests, you’d still have ample privacy. Keith was a super helpful host and made the stay stress free.

Awesome!!
The land was awesome! Very private spot with about a 5-10 mins walk to the bathrooms. Bathrooms were very nice and clean. A lot of daddy long legs and hills. Owner was very accommodating and nice. We loved this spot and are excited to go again. Also it rained a lot but the trees covered most of it so we still had a great time!

Went tent camping and had a great time! The site was very secluded, a short walk up a hill from the parking area. Kieth was very helpful in driving up our supplies. There was a nice covered area for firewood and the camp site was very spacious amongst the trees. The bathroom and shower are near the parking area and were clean. Kieth was very response and helpful and was a friendly host.

Primitive camping w/ good amenities
We really enjoyed our time at Benton’s on the Baileys. We got the best of both worlds of car camping and primitive camping. The site provides a secluded, primitive experience, but you don’t have to worry about hiking your gear to the top of the hill because Keith- who was an attentive host- was there to haul up our gear and keep us stoked with wood. Great having nice, clean bathrooms near the parking area too. Would recommend and will probably be back some day. Thanks Keith!

Fantastic! The host was there and ready to help us bring our stuff to and from the campsite with a UTV. (Up a giant, steep, gravelly hill)
Camp site was great for tents and hammocks. Plenty of firewood and they even offered farm fresh eggs for breakfast. Would definitely stay again :)

Loved it!
Had a great time camping with my wife and 2 kids. Keith is a great host and the site was absolutely perfect! Very private and secluded. The grade of the site and the canopy of trees kept us nice and dry despite 12 hours straight of hard rain. Everything dried out quickly after the rain. The firewood stayed completely dry due to a MUCH appreciated shingled firewood rack. We used a Jeep rooftop tent and annex, and had plenty of room for activities during the rain. The kids think the setup is basically a giant bunk bed. 😜
This is an amazing location, especially if you're into hiking or mountain biking. We hiked to the Knight's Labor trail and took it to the Corps trail, then Tipple Top trail, and looped back down to W Bailey Rd. It was a 5 mile hike, which was just enough to tire out our 8 and 6-year-olds. I'd really love to come back here with the mountain bikes. Nice loops that looked like they'd be fun, but not too treacherous. Also was great to see that the trails are well cared for. We passed about 6 Appalachian Conservation Corps workers on the trail digging drainage trenches.
Would highly recommend, and we hope to come back again!

Fantastic Adventure!
We booked due to privacy. We hate being right next door to a camping neighbor that we don’t know, and this location was completely secluded! It was everything we hoped for. We came in during a bit of rain, and Keith, the owner, met us and helped get us into the camp easily with his atv. On foot, the hike down is great….. back up is a bit rough, as it is a steep incline, but, again, Keith is a helpful fellow! He and his wife, along with his pups, chickens and turkeys, were very welcoming hosts. The site is primitive, without water or electricity, making it the perfect spot to unplug and just enjoy nature. There is room enough for larger groups, and it’s all hidden by trees, outside all city noises. Watch out for creepy crawlies…. We met a salamander, a walking stick, an orb weaver spider, and a handful of other critters all living their best lives. Fantastic spot! We 10/10 will stay again. Highly recommended!
