Tent site · Sleeps 8
Site 1 "Wooded Hideaway" is located on the other side of the Large Shared Pond and Pavillion. There is a parking area next to our main house. There is a sign that says hipcamp parking.. and a rustic shed building. You must walk from the car to the other side of the house driveway...walk along the left side of our house to the back left and you will see a red gate and the bridge...Walk over the covered bridge, up the hill to the large pond. There are markers with flags along the way. Follow the path on the right of the Pond past the outhouse. Just past the furthest point of the pond you will see an opening into the forest cove that is carved out for this site. Because we are a working farm, we ask that any gate you open to pass thru, please close behind you. We are close by and easily accessible, but we highly respect your privacy.

Fire Pit, grill and pond cabana makes hanging outdoors a pleasure. Private pond with 2 docks for swimming and fishing. Great location to walk or bike our quiet country roads. Nestled in a remote farm campsite, this RV was a perfect escape. Surrounded by peaceful landscapes and friendly cows, it offered all the basics: hot water, a stove, shower, toilet and more. My favorite spot? The pond with its dock, ideal for mornings and afternoons spent relaxing.
Adam is a great host - even stopping by with a surprise delivery of mushrooms that I immediately cooked and ate with my dinner !
No service was available on my phone in the general area - however Adam offers a WiFi connection near the main home that I was able to connect to and check regularly as I needed.
This spot is perfect for anyone craving a peaceful retreat.
This property is so amazing!! HUGE shoutout to the swimming hole — there is a massive trampoline in the water that’s wonderful to sunbathe on! I stayed here last year with friends, and this year with my partner. Both times were excellent. Hiking trails, shaded areas, sunny areas, swimming, a shelter, lots of lights on the trails to find your way, and the owners are very kind. Can’t recommend enough!
Place was clean and provided a very unique experience. Host was friendly and helpful. My kid loved “driving the boat”, loved a shower and coffee while “camping”.
This cabin was the perfect place to stay after exploring Point Pleasant. Secluded and simple, it had everything I needed and was nestled in the middle of a gorgeous wooded property. A nice, well maintained trail was easily accessible from the cabin and led to a pond where you can fish and swim. It was easy to get to and I would love to visit again.
This little slice in heaven is very comfortable very private. The host is probably the most hospitable host we have had yet with a Hipcamp. Go check it out see the sites and enjoy being in nature..
The host was extremely friendly and helped haul our gear back to the camp site with his buggy the night we arrived; so helpful! The setting feels remote compared to many campsites, and offered some really cool vibes with the pond and interesting trail road features nearby. The outhouse could use some love, but we definitely want to repeat this site sometime 🙏
Me and my boyfriend loved this campsite! Upon arrival Adam immediately greeted us and helped us haul all of our equipment back to the campsite. There is a beautiful pavilion with automatic solar lights on the pond, which is also next to canoes and a paddle boat! In addition, the outhouse was nice and there was even some fishing gear. Views were beautiful, especially on the Ridge Runner Hiking Trail! We definitely plan to go back and loved our stay!
My partner and I loved tent camping at this spot! The amenities alone made the trip worth it and it was special to have the pond in addition to the camp site. We could hear only a faint music from the nearby cabin but other than that— completely quiet 😌 A very nice weekend getaway and will definitely be coming back! We caught tons of bluegill and a catfish!! Bring a cart to carry your stuff for the walk but very manageable and super friendly owner with adorable animals! Hiked the nearby land and it was well taken care of for visitors. Swam in the pond and enjoyed the beautiful dock
Me and my sisters had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend stay at the campsite location. We had a great time swimming in the pond, cooking food over the fire, going for morning hikes/walks, and watching the stars appear at night! Having the jump they put up for the pond was super fun!! Will definitely be back to visit again!!!
I want to start this off by saying, a big Thank you to Adam! He was very responsive to every text I sent before visiting his land and once me and my friend were there. He was more then accommodating and helpful. The property has a bunch of little trails on it to hike, fishing was great! 😉 and the pond was very fun and peaceful. Thanks again and till next time ✌️
The property is peaceful and beautiful. I booked it for a girl’s weekend trip, and it was very nice to have the seclusion of this spot so we knew we weren’t disturbing other as well. It fit and slept 4 of us very comfortably. Boathouse had everything needed, I did pack my own camp stove so we could do pasta dishes for dinner. I do recommend your own camp chairs if you want to sit around the fire, we did not bring any sadly and the other chairs around the outside, while comfy, are too heavy to move around from where they’re located. The pond is a 10-15 min walk away from the houseboat, which we did not realize when booking, but worth the walk. We enjoyed our time at the shared pond as well! Heads up on the water in the boathouse, it was either very hot or very cold.
If you are looking to get away and tent camp, swim and fish? This is a great spot!
Adam is a perfect host ! Anything you ask for and he will try and make it happen.
Beautiful country, great fishing!
My 17 year old was dreading going! He our fished me and wants to come back in the fall!!
Thank you Adam!! You go over and above any place like yours where we have stayed last few years!!
I have family that is already looking to book the cabin or boat house.
Again Adam THANK YOU!!
Adam’s place was the perfect spot for us to camp and to spend time with family. Our site was secluded and private, close to the pond (where we spent the hot afternoons jumping into the water off the floating trampoline and trying to ride the hilarious dragon floaty.) We loved being out of cell range, and disconnecting from the world. Also loved all the care Adam has taken to make his place welcoming and interesting. On the weekend he set up the tractor with a platform 16 feet above the pond for daring guests to jump from) and the trails around the property are nicely groomed and provide lots of scope for exploration. Adam was accommodating to our request for additional day guests visiting us at our site and was also attentive, bringing loads of firewood when we needed it, and answering questions when we had them. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely book another stay! It’s a great place.
Amazing location! Adam has everything you would need! I loved the hiking trails on property, the privacy & the fishing access! This was my 2nd visit in three weeks if that says anything ;)
A great spot to stay! Super remote, super quiet, tons of hiking and exploring to do. The pond is clear, clean, and full of healthy fish. My friend caught his first bass ever here! Tons of wildlife, birds, turtles, deer, cows, owls, and all kinds of critters!
Campsite is about 5 minutes from the parking, I’d recommend a wagon or something if Adam is unavailable to give you a ride back. Outhouse is convenient and close. Adam is a great host, knows the area well, and can recommend some fun things to do.
We will definitely be back!
Absolutely loved the tranquility of Adam's farm. Directions to find the place were perfect, Adam was friendly and accommodating, and the nearby paths were a welcome treat, even if it had rained. Would definitely come back.
We loved the jacuzzi pool and the beautiful scenery. It was such a lovely place to unwind. So lovely in fact, that we extended our stay an extra day, just to enjoy the weather ☺️
I'd recommend this place, but I want to keep it all to myself! Big thanks to Adam and Maureen who went above and beyond to make everything perfect.
Personally, although I much appreciated the generosity by making available the land for use, I did not really find it enjoyable as a stay. I did not meet the Host, I wasn’t sure exactly where to put my tent I just decided to put it in a section near my car and then texted the host about it. It was raining so that may have added to the dreariness. But there were no amenities, no welcome, it was really confusing. But again I’m thankful I at least found a piece of land to prop my tent up on!
The hosts had great communication and flexibility. They allowed us to switch to the camper rather than the campsite in the days immediately before our stay due to weather.
The camper, which is under renovation, was perfect to get out of the rain and to stage our things in. The parts of the renovation that are complete are high quality and it shows so much potential.
Adam made it clear that it is a work in progress and the price, $45/per night, was a great value! It even came with firewood.
We had no service on the land and it was among the quietest places I've been. We went near the host's residence for wifi.
Dewey, Adam's friendly dog, was a great addition to our trip, he came and hung out with us during the day.
The trails on the property are gorgeous, well marked, and well maintenained, just like the rest of the farm. Though we only got to explore a small portion of the gigantic property.
Hope to return soon!
