Had been wanting to come here for a while and managed to plan a night to come with some friends. Our stay was amazing, the property is truly gorgeous! We enjoyed exploring and relaxing by the fire. Our site was secluded and had a beautiful view. Definitely planning on another trip here soon!

A wonderful place to camp! I highly recommend taking them up on the in-depth tour: you can learn a lot about the plants, animals, buildings, and permaculture in general! Loved the outdoor shower and our shady camp site. Thanks Olivia, Erik, and Olive!

Come See Permaculture in Progress!
This was our first sustainable food destination on our move out west into this career path. Olivia greeted us, have us a tour of the grounds including their woody perennials and was very accommodating to find a good spot for us to camp. Their campground manager Jim quickly set us up with woods and water, and ensured the spot worked. And Erik took time later on to introduce us to their wonderful animal friends, including sheep, chickens and geese, plus a guinea fowl. It was a real treat for our youngest, as he loves animals and this was his first camping experience. We only had a brief opportunity to chat with Erik and Olivia, but it was informative and we hope to stay in touch to see the progress they make over time with their farm, first and trails - it is sure to be a impactful destination for permaculture!

Beautiful land and friendly, helpful hosts. It was pleasure to explore the farm and learn about the various projects they have going. I especially enjoyed the mile long trail through the woods that offered just enough direction to find my way, but still felt like I was exploring it for the first time.

Will definitely be back!
We had been looking forward to snagging a spot at this place and it didn’t disappoint! Spent some time poking around nearby Somerset and generally being lazy. Olivia and Eric were so welcoming and provided us with everything we needed and more. No complaints at all! We’ll definitely be camping with them again.

Loved the space and the mission!
Such a lovely, quiet space with very hospitable hosts. So inspiring to spend time in a space dedicated to sustainability. Solar shower was very refreshing after a day of kayaking on Buckeye Lake.

AMAZING!
Fern Hollow exceeded all of my expectations! The pictures I saw were beautiful, but it was so gorgeous in person. Olivia maintains an amazing property, and was so welcoming. This is a hidden gem, and if you’re looking for a place to stay you should definitely come to Fern Hollow Farm.

The setting for this camp site is as good as it gets. Beautiful rolling hills and peaceful farms dot the countryside. Easy to access and with all the advertised amenities. Olivia was very nice and full of local recommendations. I would definitely stay again!

Getaway in our own back yard.
The site, and farm went above and beyond our expectations. The whole farm is beautiful and fun to roam. My kids would get up everyone morning and greet the animals and ask to walk the farm. Olivia was friendly and helpful. We will be back again.

Really cool spot to stay
Eric and Olivia have a really awesome thing going on here.. The Shady Grove site was nice and hidden and well kept. We wish we had more time to explore the farm and check out all of the projects they have going on. We will definitely return if we end up in that part of Ohio again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here as the last stop on our ten day road trip, and it was definitely one of our favorite spots. The location is beautiful, and our campsite, located in the back of the property felt very private even with other hipcampers nearby. It was beautifully set up, with a bed of straw for our tent right next to a little creek bed. Olivia greeted us when we arrived, and she and the dogs were very welcoming. The solar shower was a great element to have, and was comfortably big and private.

Magical retreat
Fern Hollow Farm is a magical place and I will definitely be staying again! Olivia accommodated my request for a secluded camping spot by placing us in The Ravine (camp site), tucked away in the woods. In addition, we were allowed to use this amazing outdoor kitchen/camp area, The Cove. The Cove completely exceeded our camping expectations! We were provided with water and fire wood-- generous and thoughtful!! There was a large stove and propane. Plenty of room to spread out as we were social distance hanging out. The night time lighting across the entire farm was tasteful, non-intrusive and helpful for walking the grounds in the dark. Not to mention the view of the STARS! Wow! The porta potty was clean and smelled fresh. You must love animals to stay here: as the farm's profile says, there are plenty of free roaming fowl and doggos and there were lots of dog sounds. We enjoyed hanging out with all of the animals, especially the chickens, when they visited us. I recommend this lovely farm highly. My friends are already talking about making the drive again, all the way from Chicago! Can't wait to return!

Fun spot for kids to explore
Loved this place. Within an hour’s drive of Columbus but feels remote. The hosts are super friendly, they invited my 3 young kids to help feed the chickens and explore all over the property. Their two adorable dogs are so welcoming as they roam free - one of them even joined us at our campsite for dinner! The kitchen/dining area they call “the Cove” is what really sets this place apart. It’s a fantastic gathering area with a cool ambiance stocked with some equipment to make meal times much easier. The site “the Ravine” is where we stayed and it was so nice to be in the trees at the back/top of the property. Keep in mind with this site though that the tent pad areas are medium in size - our tent was a little bit too large but we shoehorned it in there. Everything was clean, well-managed, and enjoyable. We’ll definitely come back to stay and explore more!

Erik and Olivia were kind. Erik spent a lot of time showing us around, sharing what they have done and plan to do, and expanding our knowledge of permaculture (and mushrooms 🍄). Loved hanging out with the chickens and using the outdoor shower (not at the same time!)
