I made my reservation the day before. Host was extremely kind and had excellent communication. There were other people camping but we were far enough away that it felt very private. Bathroom and shower was very clean. Road to get to camp had a lot of pot holes and was very rough. I have a large SUV so it wasn’t a problem and another camper I noticed had a small car so I think anyone could get in there.

Kristi was a very kind host! We were provided a wooden platform for our tent, a bench/table for cooking, and a fire pit. There is a composting toilet in the outhouse which was cleaned daily, and a shower that runs on a battery pack. Firewood was available for use and there was an outdoor sink for washing dishes. If you are visiting in the wetter months or after a good rain I would highly recommend having a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The campsites are down in a seasonal wet woods / flood plain area and the long driveway is muddy and uneven. We watched multiple vehicles get stuck and had to park our SUV further up the driveway and walk our stuff down to camp to avoid the same situation. Not a huge deal for us but just a note for campers who might have mobility limitations! The host noted that it isn’t as big of an issue in the dry months. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Great to have a hot shower after riding! Plenty of space. Easy to get to the Chauncey-Dover Trailhead. Lovely place to stay.

The campsite was quite nice and even for primitive camping, Kristi has a lot of amenities on site like running water, a bathroom and a shower. I had a good time during my stay. Kristi is also very friendly!

I've been here 4 times over the years, and it's a great site with a shower, clean outhouse, and plenty of room for tents and plenty of trees for hammocks. Kristi is a great host and is always pleasant and helpful.

Kristi’s place is fantastic! We came to town to stay over for the Bailey’s Dirt Fondo Mountain Bike race and at just 1.5 miles from the Chauncey trailhead, you won’t find a better location. The facilities were absolutely spotless as well. I have no idea how Kristi is able to keep things so well maintained given the rustic surroundings but 5 stars all the way. We will happily stay again and again!

We all had a great time on Kristi’s land! There was a lot of supply for firewood and we all loved having that big area to ourselves! It was really pretty and convenient because of bathrooms and a generator for electricity.

Great spot with plenty of space to set up tents and a ton of well spaced trees for hammocks. Kristi was a wonderful and pleasant host, as well. Definitely a great place to relax or to set up a base camp for some time in the forest!
