The cabin was amazing. My husband and I wanted to get away for our anniversary and let me tell you this is the place to be. The views are absolutely beautiful. Our dogs had land to run and play for days. The creek was a little slice of nature where we took our dogs to play in the water. It's quiet and peaceful. Michelle and Pj are an amazing hosts. They are fun and genuinely kind individuals. Thank you for giving us the best weekend ever and we look forward for our next visit!!!!

Sasha’s Spot is the perfect site to unwind. The trees allow for shade and a flat spot to set up camp. The pond is stocked with fish, the property is beautiful! Michelle and PJ were the best hosts.

A-Frame with Personality
The cabin is so adorable and has tons of personality. We also really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location, waking up only to the sounds of crickets and birds. We had a great time exploring the property as well, and saw a magnificent sunset from the top of the hill by the corn field. :)

Michelle and PJ’s cabin was a delight! Very cute and comfortable A-frame cabin. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker and microwave. Fridge was small but we made it work! Loved that the water was always hot for a nice hot shower. The inside has fireplace was easy to start and it was cozy. My pup enjoyed the outdoors - we walked by the corn fields. It was nice to unplug as there was very little cell service and no WiFi. We had one stormy night and the power went out but Michelle and PJ were responsive and kept us up to date. They were so nice when we met up! It’s a little hard to find the cabin (be prepared to drive up/down some hills over the grass) but they helped guiding us and was happy to chat about their cabin and areas to walk around.
Overall we were very happy!

Cute Cozy Quaint Quiet Nature
If you like exploring a beautiful spring fed creek, which you can hear and see from the back deck of the cabin, walking through meadows or a woods rich with spring wildflowers and ferns you have found your place.
I thought it was very thoughtful when PJ came to greet us the morning after we got in he was respectful of our privacy and wandered towards the pond instead of coming directly to the cabin door.
One warning though when it is hot it is hot and if the temperature is above what is comfortable for you with just fans you might consider going when the heat is not a thing.
Michelle and PJs place is not a cookie-cutter cabin, it is laid back and cozy. I felt like I was at Grandma's house sometimes.

Loved the relaxing vibe!
My wife and I have camped at their Sasha's spot several times and have always wanted to stay in the A-frame. We decided to give it a shot and loved it. Loved the antiques and all of the old books. We had a great time relaxing and will go back again! Thank you for all the great hospitality.

All around great place. The owners are amazing and did a great job making sure we had had everything we needed. You get to explore the land pretty freely. I had a 90cc quad for the kids and PJ cut a really nice path around the property for them to cruise on. The pond is stocked with fish. And they keep a good supply of wood on hand. Can’t really ask for more. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.

First and most important I’ll go over how great the communication was with PJ & Michelle, we lost power on our first night and they went the extra mile & some to make us comfortable.
We have never seen a storm like that and even though it was a little scary it was such a cool experience to be able to see
After loosing power they were kind enough to bring and offer to bring ice every day we stayed, at no charge in addition to lights, candles, etc..
We did happen to get two days of fishing in & caught a ton of fish! It is SUCH a beautiful spot, so relaxing & secluded. We will definitely be back to experience a longer stay in the near future.

BE PREPARED: Beautifully Remote
Beautiful space! Secluded and wonderful and the hosts were very kind.
WORDS OF CAUTION:
- if you do not have a car with four wheel drive, please be careful. We nearly got stuck multiple times
- there is [almost] NO SERVICE, NO WIFI, and the closest food option is VERY far. It's beautiful and remote, but it is REMOTE. So bring food/prepare ahead of time.
Other than that, we really enjoyed it. We hosted a theatre retreat, it was great. We felt like we were able to explore freely without interruption.

Magical Fairy Forest
What an absolutely gorgeous setting! I wish I could attach pictures to show the views. The hosts, Michelle & PJ, were the nicest people ever and we loved chatting with them. Michelle came over the first day to check in and say hi - she was very friendly and helpful with fun events and things to do nearby. The next day, PJ dropped off some wood and took any trash we had. We enjoyed hearing stories from him about his family's property and history.
The pond has two ducks which provide the loveliest sounds (warning for dogs who have a prey drive - this is NOT the site for you). You are a little bit closer to the road than expected, but about only one car goes by per hour so very little noise. The A frame cabin is on the other side of the pond with a tree line dividing you from their space. You may hear each other, but you are mostly from each other's sight unless they are fishing or close to the pond. We hung by the campsite the whole time and relaxed, but there are trails to take to explore the property and a nearby creek as well! Little to no cell service, but this was a bonus for us. There is a very small corner store nearby, but with very limited supplies.
Overall, a wonderful campsite with beautiful views and all the sounds of nature you could want! Very limited noise and light pollution. Will be returning!

Sasha’s Spot
Getting to the site was easy, but anticipated having no service so we downloaded an offline map. We asked if there was a cooking surface at the site and PJ provided it the day we arrived! It was a great area for our dog to run around worry free. We had neighbors in the A-Frame, but wouldn’t even know they were there if we didn’t see them leave after the weekend. The pond has many fish and frogs provide you with wonderful concerts all day and night. We did find ticks as we sat underneath the trees, but we were able to quickly brush them off.
The United Cabin
Ok, but could be better
I want to say that the Hosts are very very sweet. I’m a “bit” bougee, but I grew up camping and playing in the dirt— climbing trees… fishing… nothing phased me much.
So as far as the review—- they really need to start taking a bit more pride in their Cabin. It’s so stinking cute!!
But no A/C, means anyone with a heart problem, anyone who can’t tolerate heat …etc.. couldn’t use it in the Summer. The fans don’t cool it down enough.
It also needs a GOOD cleaning. Again, I’m used to all kinds of environments, but they should take everything out and clean it top to bottom.
It has a lot of bugs…. Which the dead ones need to be disposed of. I understand it’s up against the woods. But new screens are in order for sure!!!!
Not much gets me squirmy, but staying here did.
If I owned it I would invest about $10k and make that place sparkle. Add a cement slab outside to put a fire pit and good picnic table on . Make a better driveway. Fix the deck and add a hot tub.
They could charge double what they are now.
But for now—-
I just encourage and recommend… cleaning it more at the very least. Get rid of Dads junk (sorry dad). And clean it. Clean that nasty carpet and wash everything!!!
And adding an A/C unit. That’s not so much to ask :))))
Thanks Michelle and PJ. You wanted me to be honest. ☺️

Easy In Easy out.
Had a blast as Sasha’s Spot. Very welcoming when I arrived and I was able to get to the camp spot easily. There were other campers nearby in the Aframe, but they did not bother my partner and I at all. We were close to the honey run trail/ waterfall and we spent the afternoon hiking and chilling next to the falls. Quiet country evening.

Great cabin for family getaway
Our stay at The United Cabin was terrific. Nestled in rolling Ohio hills by a spring-fed creek and a small pond, this place had everything for our family to have some quality time outdoors for the weekend. The Cabin was incredibly clean and cozy with everything we needed, and was very comfortable with the late April breeze. We were thankful for the gas furnace when it got chilly the first night. We enjoyed smores by the fire, creeking, and relaxing in a rocking chair to the sounds of the birds. Exploring nearby Roscoe village for a day was fun, a cute historic town with shops and crafts my daughter and wife loved. We also went to Wooly Pig brewery (which I loved). When we had to pack up to leave, our dog Teddy sat down by the front door as if to say "I don't want to go!" We'll definitely have to come back! Thanks to Michelle and PJ for letting us stay in their cabin!
