This small farm is 7 acres of the original 25 my great grandmother purchased for her family in 1934. Guests can enjoy the cabin as well as the barn and surrounding property with animals and greenspace.
The Camp Cabin:
Camp in comfort in our "little cabin in the woods." Accommodates up to 6 guests, with a queen-sized bed, a futon and two low single beds in the loft, accessible only by ladder. Kids 6 and older may sleep in the loft-- just like Laura and Mary-- and they can read a chapter of one of Laura Ingalls' "Little House" books before bed!
The cabin contains a small refrigerator, microwave and gas fireplace (no, the pioneers didn’t have that!). Fresh eggs and other snacks are provided for breakfast. The restroom and shower are located in the walkout basement of the farmhouse, a 40 yard walk from the Cabin. The restroom has a private entrance and is used only by guests during their stay.
The Farm Property:
Pet and interact with goats and other farm animals. The goats and chickens love it when guests bring them tortilla chips, crackers or vegetable scraps. Enjoy fun activities on the farm and around the property.
Guests are welcome to use any of the common areas for fires or grilling. Quiet hours are from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
The Barn:
The barn has a recreation area with basketball, foosball, air hockey, ping pong and swings. The climbing wall is off limits to guests. This facility is open May through October.
The barn is available for parties for an additional fee, depending on the size of the group. We have seating for up to 60 guests. Please note that the barn is not climate controlled (no air conditioning in summer, but the doors open and we have fans). The barn is closed November through April.

McKee Farm is rich in memories and rich in history. It has been in the family for over 150 years and we were told that it was one of stopping points for the underground railroad. The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns.
Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. Built using recycled electric poles, Tullihas in the Trees has a deck perfect for hammocking, an interior dressed with windows so that guests can feel as if they are living amongst the trees, and two small lofts ideal for a restful night's sleep.
Oxley in the Woods is our newest treehouse cabin. Nestled in the woods with a view of the sunset, the lovely A Frame is filled with lovely woodwork, vintage parquet flooring, and private wooded views. The deck is huge! We've had guests set up a tent on the deck beside the treehouse for fun! Swings, and a slide make the Oxley a fun adventure. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy.
The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time.
Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table.
Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. Tullihas in the Trees provides a perfect remote and rustic getaway for anyone.
In October and November, access to hiking is limited.

Our property is easily accessible from State Route 146, Interstate 70, U.S. Route 40, and State Route 16. We're also just 25 minutes from both Zanesville and Newark, Ohio.
To help everyone enjoy their stay, we ask that all fires remain in the provided fire rings. Firewood is stacked at each campsite, and you are welcome to burn fallen wood found nearby.
Please respect fellow campers by staying on established paths and away from occupied campsites. Pack out what you pack in, dispose of all trash properly, and use the recycling bins provided for cans, paper, and plastic. If you would like a picnic table, please let us know before you arrive.
Bathrooms are available near the campsites, and the many trails with toilets and handwashing stations. Guests are responsible for the removal of their own toiletries and waste.

The Riverside Campground has big spacious sites. Sites are primitive and include a picnic table and fire ring. There is NO electric at the Campground.
Many sites overlook the Hocking River. Swimming can be accessible on a few sites, and there are two Premium sites, more spacious (2 & 64)
Please note that our Campground is on the River. Due to excessive rain and certain times of the year, the campground may be wet and muddy. We also cannot control the level of the river or the access to the River based on current water levels.
Riverside Campground features 80 sites and conveniently located portable restrooms throughout the campground. Just steps from the Family Fun Center, guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities perfect for the whole family.
Campsite price includes 2 people. Can add additional adults for $10 per person per night and additional children for $5 per person per night. Up to two tents per site. The tent limits are strictly enforced. If you have more than 2 tents you will be required to book an additional site.

This is my second time staying with Todd and Margie on their land. This time I stayed on campsite 4. I stayed 3 nights solo with my doggie. Never once did I feel unsafe or anything of that nature. As a woman solo camper, that’s important to me. This was an amazing spot, I drive a Jeep and you 100% need 4WD to get to it. I bought a bundle of firewood and it was a nice large bundle. You are literally surrounded by trees and nature and not a person around. It was perfect. It rained most of Saturday, I tarped my tent and not one drop of rain came in, and it was not muddy either afterwards with the ground being clay like. The owners are super friendly. I really enjoy Hocking Hills and the hiking and I will not camp anywhere else as long as they offer their land as a place to stay. I didn’t use the shower but it’s nice it’s available.

We had a lovely time at campsite 3 on top of the ridge! Beautiful quiet & private location. Margie brought firewood up to the site for us before we arrived. We had to leave early due to the weather but wished we could have stayed the whole time!

After coming here for several years I have to say it's still the BEST! Grandson still wanted to come and he turns 15!! Loved the fresh eggs and special thanks to Zeus for "trying" to catch the garter snakes for us. No worries, they were absent the entire rest of our stay! And once again we packed way too much as we forgot all the extras you supply! If we don't come back with Grandson he will always remember these trips and the fishing. Chances are he will come back maybe even on his own someday!

A great escape at The Camp Cabin, with everything you need to get away from it all. The cabin was a great fit for our family of 5 with kids ages 4 to 10 and black lab puppy. We spent our time around the pond, walking the trails, playing on the playground and in the barn, feeding the animals and enjoying the beautiful property. Very convenient bathrooms with a few cat visitors to keep you company, a few good dogs that might visit briefly while you're on the property.
All that we were looking for and more, we will visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site was next to a creek, surrounded by trees. The shower house was clean and appeared fairly new. Our house was friendly and very helpful. He gave us some tips on things to do in the area. More importantly, he came early on our last morning to make sure we aware of the potential weather situation.

Site C6 at Valley Forge was great! It was concealed between 2 old cabins, which gave it some privacy yet it still was close to the bathroom. One thing to note - the firepit was sort of at the edge of the campsite, so you couldn't really sit around the fire. But we had a great time!

Where to start ! The stay was great , Margie and Todd were very kind hosts , helpful whenever we needed anything but gave us our privacy ! The land is beautiful and quiet and we felt so lucky to be so close to Hocking hills without being in a crowded campground, the shower was also a huge plus after a long day of hiking as well as a flushable toilet only a short walk from our tent due to me not loving port o pots which were also there and even closer , all over a 10/10 experience and we can’t wait to return in the future !

Great campsite with clean and private bathrooms! As you can see in the photos the picnic table is a large wooden spool so bring camp chairs. Was rainy while I was there and lots of aggressive mosquitoes so come prepared with bug spray! My dog loved the creek.
