Located just 0.5 miles from the Hunt House Trailhead on the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail, our site is a dream come true for outdoor enthusiasts! Pet Policy: To ensure everyone’s comfort, we ask that you leave pets at home. Firewood: For ecological reasons, we do not permit outside firewood. This is a small and simple bring-your-own-tent campsite for up to 4 people. This site has a fire ring and a beautiful wooded view. We are located in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Enjoy easy access to trails, biking, river kayaking, farm markets and more! Just a short drive or bike ride to the historic Village of Peninsula and many trailheads. This site is about a 4 minute walk from our parking area. We have a wagon to help move your gear. • No pets please. • No visitors • 1 vehicle per reservation (park and walk to your site) • Plan to keep all food inside your vehicle or an airtight container. • Bring your own gear • There is no parking at the campsite • Park in our parking area; hike in, or bike in • There is no water or electricity at this site • Guests will have access to plumbed restrooms and showers • There is a fire ring at this site** • Maximum combined tent footprint: 12x12' (the full pitchable area for this site is about 12x12') • Maximum number of tents: 2 • Maximum total guests: 4 ** Moving firewood is regulated by state and federal authorities, and can spread destructive insects to local forests. Valley Overlook has USDA - APHIS - PPQ certified firewood for sale at market rate. Please do not bring firewood from outside! Check in starts at 4:00 PM Check out at 11:00 AM On some evenings, concerts at our neighbor, Blossom Music Center may be audible. The farm across the street utilizes propane cannons during the day for a few weeks out of the year to deter birds from eating their corn. IMPORTANT Cold Weather Note: While we offer these sites for booking year-round, some restroom locations may be closed from November-April. Guests will still have access to plumbed restrooms and hot showers in our main restroom location. Things to note: There is no electricity or water at the campsite. The parking area is about a one-minute walk from the site; we have wagons to help move your gear. No pets, no outside firewood, no exceptions. Inside, you'll find a comfortable king bed, perfect for a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the park. Two chairs and a table provide a cozy spot to relax, read a book, or plan your next adventure. Guest access: Self check in. Awesome location! We had an amazing weekend exploring the national park during the day and coming back to our campsite and relaxing after a long days hike. You can tell the owners have been putting a lot of money into the campground and I look forward to seeing more improvements next time we visit.

Valley Overlook is an awesome property! There's enough room between sites/tents that you don't feel like your neighbors are too close but it's not totally isolated. There's a variety of accommodation options to fit everyone's needs. The hot showers and beautiful indoor bathrooms were a huge bonus! They were some of the nicest I've experienced at camp. I did experience an issue while camping. I called the after hours line and Terry one of the owners answered and was diligent in handling the issue (totally out of their control and not at all their fault). His wife, Janet was also incredibly thoughtful and sweet and offered a solution that went well above and beyond. Already looking at weekends to come back my experience was THAT GREAT!

The host was communicative and helpful. I messaged a few days before my trip with a concern, and they responded quickly. The site was pretty and well maintained. There were small bathrooms with showers close to the site as well as more extensive ones in the main building that were all clean and pleasant to use. I would definitely stay here again. I stayed in a primitive campsite and pitched a tent, but the glamping tents looked beautiful!

Glamping was nice. Perhaps a little on the pricey side. Was a little disappointed that it was near a busier road and I could hear traffic. It was definitely quieter at night. Sadly, the heat wave started while we were there so we kind of needed to stay away from the tent during the day. Thankfully, it cooled down at night and there was a fan. Really needed it!

Second time staying here! We tented in April (close and rainy) and so appreciated the gravel area for the tent. We enjoyed the C4 site. Bathrooms are a bit of a walk but they all are super clean & warm both in the bigger building and in the stand alone sites. Fire wood that we bought there was dry and burned well. The whole area is clean and quiet has lots of other options for your stay. Will come again if going through that area!

We arrived at the campground a bit later than expected and had some trouble figuring out where to park and it was a bit tricky to maneuver in the dark. Thankfully, the camp host was very responsive. The short hike to the overlook was a good morning stroll. Overall, it’s a great campsite for anyone who enjoys camping but still wants access to bathroom and shower facilities.

We had a lovely stay at Valley Overlook. Our site was spotless. Easy access to hiking and exploring. Good restaurants nearby. The restrooms were so clean and just a short walk from our site. The hots were attentive to our questions without being intrusive. Highly recommend. We give it a 10/10.

Loved the set up and surrounding area. If the area is wet, the slight incline can be slippery. The trail connected to the site was very cool and I wish we could have explored it even more. The showers and restrooms are very conveniently located and clean. Would visit again!

Very nice area for camping. I hammocked and was able to find suitable trees adjacent to the flat tent-camping site I had reserved. I didn't notice until morning since it was getting dark when I arrived, but the site manager/owner had even put my name on a card at the site marker so I could know I was at the right one. The bathroom with shower was an extra nice feature, and I enjoyed being able to walk up the hill to the little viewpoint when I woke up. Great place, clearly well managed - clean site, easy directions, great location.
