Nick’s done a great job of building a quiet spot in the trees, overlooking Barrel Run Creek. Having sites stocked with firewood is a great plus, and it was enough for us to cook some good chili over the fire. Site was clean too, never saw any pests. Will definitely return again.

Large, private but with train noise

It was a nice large private site as described, but didn’t get much sleep due to the railway. There were trains every hour or so.

Super awesome campsite

This place was awesome!!!! Very good site for campfire cooking, with two rings, firewood, and a metal grate to put over the fire to make a psudeo-stove. The train was right next to us and sounded like a jet plane at night time, but it didnt matter too much. Also the star gazing above the cornfield was absolutely stunning. Heavily recommend this place!!!

The campsite was lovely and all prepared for my arrival. They provided firewood and a bottle of wine from the winery. The toilet was a long walk but I managed.

It was a nice secluded spot, but the mosquitoes were terrible ended up getting stung by a bee, and the trains was so loud and so often about every half an hour could not sleep. We cut our trip short and only stayed Friday night and skipped Saturday. it is literally right on the train tracks.

Pretty nice site and was private although it was beside what looked like a wetland which made the misqiotos really bad. We could not sleep at all because there was a train every 30 minutes and it sounded like your head was laying on the railroad tracks it was so loud. If trains and mosquitoes don’t bother you this is a pretty nice site.

So Peaceful!

Nicks place was perfect and it was so easy to book. The directions he gave us to get there were clear. We only stayed for one night but will definitely be returning. The site was clean, the fire pit was awesome and the overall camp site was a great size! We couldn’t see or hear anyone at the next site over either. We had a picnic table there and also an area for ax throwing. Firewood was provided for us. There is a train that runs behind but it made the night even better and didn’t bother us at all. 10/10 so relaxing and peaceful.

Secluded yet connected

This was a great campsite! Nick had great instructions and the signage got us to the spot just fine. When there it was clear that they had taken care to make a good site, there was 2-3 flat areas for tents and a good little fire ring and table. Our dog LOVED the little creek. That alone was perfect. The site was shaded and made the heat bearable. We parked 1 car but it could easily fit 2. There was firewood and a few trees that could potentially be used for hammocks. We took a nice walk around the corn field to stretch our legs and were thankful for the trashbin on site The only potential issue-- if you are a light sleeper the sound of the freight train may wake you up (it is essentially on the other side of the cornfield). This place was utterly awesome and worth it!

We loved our spot on Nick's property. We had BRX04, right behind a cornfield and next to a creek. It was totally secluded and just what we were looking for. Yes there is a train that comes by but that added to the cool factor for us. Would definitely come back again.

We had a great time tent camping! The trains were a bit loud at times, but other than that it was exactly what we wanted. The site was in the trees and very private and it was so convenient having the firewood available.

Barred owl and privacy

Super private spot nestled in the woods next to a farm. Great spot for birding and loved our barred owl friend at night hooting as he was flying around us. The train tracks definitely add some character but wasn’t a problem at all. The wood provided was great and the little hatchet was a nice touch. All in all it was a great spot for the night.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Loved camping here so much I had to come back the very next weekend! My dog and I had a blast. Site BX03 is perfectly tucked away to feel secluded but just a short drive outside Cleveland. Very nice fire pit and firewood provided, perfecting for cooking over some coals. There is a train that runs by the property that passes through pretty regularly, but that doesn't bother me.

Our site was fully under trees which keeps it cool during the hits days, but the sun is able to peek through the branches giving good light. Firewood is kept dry. It easily fit two SUVs with attached tents and room to play cornhole! The property makes for a nice stroll allowing the pups to run around. Easy drive to Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
