This is thee best, private, quietest site you could ever find! We had another great holiday weekend with Bill and Nancy and will most certainly be back as soon as we can!

Our experience was so peaceful that we had to stay another day. The host family was so inviting it was like we were apart of the family. The work that the family is doing on the DLR Ranch is honorable, rehabbing horses and also Helping Our Veterns. We can not wait for our next visit. I give the DLR Ranch a 10 out of 10.

We had a remarkable time at the DRL Mustang Ranch! We were seeking the perfect place to camp and enjoy nature, and boy did we find it. From the stunning mustangs, donkeys, peacocks, ducks, and of course Fred the friendly Turkey, we truly had a wonderful time and were one with nature. Thank you Renee and Dale for being fantastic and friendly hosts. Thank you also for the amazing work that you’re doing to impact mustangs, veterans, and people with all abilities!

Weekend Trip to Aspen Overlook Campsite

Our experience was nothing short of amazing. We were greeted by a wealth of animals both domestic and wild, yet the ambiance was incredibly peaceful. What set this place apart from all the others was the host, Renee, and her family. They were warm, inviting and gracious. The story behind the mission of their ranch for both the Mustangs and Veterans is honorable and is a reflection of the family you will meet. All this along with comfortable accommodations makes this "my go to place".

It was easy to find the camp, it is well maintained and very quiet. Ample amount of dry firewood and clean facilities with the portable toilet. Will be back soon. Highly recommend.

4 nights at River Hills Above the Allegheny

My partner and I spent 5 days on the property. It was beyond perfect, the view, the noises, everything. When we arrived, there was one other couple staying at one of the other sites, but left later that day. We didn't hear any other person/group while we were there. The site was exactly as described and as the pictures showed. Waking up to the foggy valley and beautiful skies wowed us every time. At night, the skies lit up the sky, that you could see between the trees and over the valley. There was a family of raccoons that visited us every night, trying to get some of our desserts from the fire. We had to scare them away a few times, but they did seem a little used to people and needed an extra yell to send them away. The site is well sheltered by the trees, allowing some sun in, but overall keeping you protected from the heat. The walk to the waterfall is a bit slippery, but so quick and well worth the trek. The waterfall itself is an experience on itself, and had some moments of Zen and relaxation just watching and listening to the water. The Town of Parker is about a 20 minute drive that we made a few times for ice. There is some cell service at the site, but we left our phones off most of the time and just recharged our minds and bodies. I CAN NOT recommend this site enough. Everything about it was above any of my expectations. Chris was attentive in checking in and seeing if we needed more firewood when another guest left and told him it was all gone.

2 nights at River Hills Above the Allegheny

What a fantastic campsite! My kids thought it was really cool to have to drive up and down the hills and back roads to get there. The 110 outlets made it so easy for me to plug-in what we needed to enjoy our camp. We absolutely loved going down to the creek and exploring it together. The scenery here is simply beautiful. In 24 hours we saw a fox and eagle and three deer! All of us kind of freaked out when we saw the fox because we none of us have ever seen one.

1 night at DLR Mustang Ranch

It was a home away from home ❤️ Loved every second of it from the critters, to the frog pond to the amazing little place to lay our heads. I couldn't have asked for better hosts. Be prepared to become best friends with the turkey Fred though...what a stud of a bird. Lol

3 nights at River Hills Above the Allegheny

It was our first time camping here. My husband, me and our 2 dogs. So peaceful our camp site was close to the waterfall and loved listening to it. Chris was helpful and responded quickly to my question.

Great site and location. Quite and off the beaten path, my husband and I enjoyed our time in nature. The level platform was a nice touch it made things much easier to setup as well as sleeping in the tent more comfortable. The waterfall on the property was also very nice and fun to explore.

We loved camping here and will be again! Rick is so nice and his land is beautiful. The creek is very nice and peaceful, great to cool off in. The pond is also nice to fish or just sit and relax on the dock. Looking forward to camping here again!

The site was spacious and private, and close enough to the state park to make it convenient. Lovely little outhouse. Stars as far as the eye can see. Fireflies like Christmas lights.

If you’re looking for a serene and relaxing place to go, this is it. The Tiny Cabin is kept so clean. There’s plentiful amount of firewood to keep you warm all night. Plenty of room for kids and dogs to roam and explore. We will absolutely be coming back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Weekend Trip to Flannel Dog Farm

Had a great time at Bill and Nancy's, update Bill was running a hose to make a camping shower.

Alan and Chris were the perfect hosts. The land was exactly what we were looking for, including the interactions with chickens and sheep on the farm. I would highly recommend this site for any family trips. When you book, definitely order the breakfast add-on too. Thank you again, Alan and Chris!

Weekend Trip to Hemlock Hideaway

Super cute cabin with plenty of space for tents. The provided compost outhouse, picnic tables, and tree cover made for an exceptional summer camping experience. Lisa was very responsive and nice, even making sure we were taken care of while she was away. Highly recommend, would stay again!

The farm that this campsite is located on sure lives up to its name. We enjoyed many other animals on top of the beautiful equine that surrounded us. The willingness of the owner to help us out in any way possible was pleasantly surprising. They also carry out an awesome mission there that you would have to check out for yourself. We can't wait until next year when we will visit again. Great experience!

Just returned from an incredible camping trip, and I’m already thinking about when I can go back. The views were breathtaking, and the property itself was well cared for and beautifully remote—exactly the kind of escape I was looking for. Each campsite felt completely secluded, giving you a true off-the-grid experience. The highlight for me? A picture-perfect waterfall that looked like something out of a travel magazine. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak in nature’s beauty. Special shoutout to our host, Chris, who went above and beyond. Super friendly, extremely helpful, and made the entire experience even better. Can’t recommend this place enough!

The toilet is not available in late fall and winter due to freezing temperatures. It's pretty dark here. There are no large cities anywhere around here. My family moved here in 1957 and I purchased it from my father in 1975. My wife is responsible for much of the landscaping and home improvements that have been done since 1990. We are retired self-employed .

Bass and Buck Tent Adventures

With over 230 acres, a lake, trails, the Grand River, plenty of wildlife, and FREE firewood. Bass and Buck Adventures is the perfect place to get away. Once known as Parkman Gorge the valley was a hub for water powered industry in the early 1800's. The river and valley is home to a wide array of wildlife. Deer, turkey, eagles, hawks, owls, mink, river otters to name a few. The area also attracts many song birds including a wide variety of warblers. There is also an abundance of wild flowers. The valley is rich in Native American history. Many artifacts have been found on the property. My great grandfather talked about the last Native American to live in Parkman. He had a cabin on one of the bluffs along the river. In the 1820's there was a water powered sawmill, flaxseed mill, and forge on the river. The boy scouts used the valley for a camp in the 1920,s. My grandpa purchased the property in the 50's from Ohio Edison. Ohio Edison's plan to dam up the river for hydro power never materialized. The valley has been a favorite for outdoor enthusiasts. Camping, hiking, fishing, hunting. Many of the items used for the camp sites have been reclaimed. The fire rings are old tractor rims and scrap steel. The tent platform is from reclaimed deck lumber. River Hills Above the Allegheny

Located just outside of Parker, PA and 25 minutes from I-80, our campsite is very accessible, yet still very remote. With 4 campsites on 75 acres, guests have ample privacy and space, with the freedom to roam this posted property that has no homes on it. Perched high above the Allegheny there are several spots to take in the wonderful views. There is also a waterfall with a 3’ deep pool below it. Great for splashing with kids or dogs, guests love exploring the creek bottom and making new discoveries. The more curious guests sometimes find the ruins of the original homestead, chimney and spring house that sit upstream. The property is teeming with wildlife. Birds and tree frogs will be the soundtrack of your visit, and often deer will be seen nosing along the outskirts of your site in the mornings and evenings. Turkey, bald eagles and even bear are occasionally spotted, so be prepared to secure your food and trash at night. For those coming to disconnect, you have found the right place. But if cell service is needed, you will have enough to get texts out and depending what site you booked, calls and internet as well. For those who seek an electrical outlet AND and EV charger, we have a site for you! We also have a site with a large canvas tent already set up for your convenience. Within a 15 minute drive of your campsite you can find The North Country Trail, Rails to Trails Trailheads and Boat Launches on the Allegheny River, Groceries, dining and beer. Note: Guests wanting The River Ridge site should book their weekends far in advance, or plan a trip during weekdays!

Camping in Wine Country

Purchased by my grandfather back in 1953 it has been a diverse fruit farm for many years. Currently we have almost 200 acres, a lot of it woods. We don't currently grow the crops that we did but we have planted some wine grapes in the last several years. As we also have a winery, The Winery at Spring Hill, we wanted to get some of our own grapes in the ground. We have several places for tent camping and we have a large parking lot at the winery for RV parking. Learn more about this land: Right in the middle of Ohio's Wine Country! Enjoy an evening at our winery or take the day and explore the 30 wineries in the area. In the spring of 2024, we built and opened a fenced in dog park called the "Barking Lot". This is available for any of our guests at the winery or who are camping here. We also have a small dog menu that includes our signature "Pupcuterie board". Woods and fields surround the camping area. Close to the natural beauty of the Grand River (State Wild and Scenic River). Just a few miles from Geneva State Park and Geneva-on-the-Lake. Lots of activities: wine tasting, covered bridges, boating/canoeing/kayaking, fishing, swimming, biking, hiking, birding, nightlife, history, golfing, and lots of natural beauty.
