We are a working homestead trying our best to do right by mother earth. We have 20 acres that offer nice trails to enjoy the peace of nature, duck/goose pond, kayaks, paddleboat, swamp with islands, moss beach, fire pits, picnic tables, meeting room/A frame available if needed. Camping in the forest surrounded by ancient woodlands. So close to I90 our property touches it, don't worry there is a fence at that outer tree line you can see the highway in some areas or edges and car show days are great times to look. You will hear all the noises Ashtabula county has to offer. Including but not limited to the highway, Benetka Rd Covered Bridge is part of the driving trail, there is a cool off road park down that way has events as well vroomvroom, AND we have roosters, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, rabbits, who knows what that noise was? If you are looking to only hear nature this is not the homestead to choose. Not far from all of the amazing Ashtabula attractions. Super close to harbor and cute small towns, wineries, fun local shops, and Lake Erie beaches. Short drive to Erie PA not far from NY boarder. Lots of online delivery to us options. Outhouse available but no electricity and no bath house yet. Ask about sapling adoption!!! Please ask us anything and everything tell us if you know something we love to learn and we are still learning about this wonderful piece of earth we are trying to survive on.

Pitch your tent alongside our private cypress lake! We have a fire pit to offer on both sides. Camp along moss beach or by the A frame. We will let you choose your spot just don't disturb the nature and take what you bring with you when you leave. If you prefer to be further from the water we have space between our two private bodies of water to choose from. Walk with caution because the terrain is uneven cypress knees pop up in areas of our magical forest along with many other amazing plants and animals. The log cabin on the lake is over 100 years old, we are still learning more about the history here. Up by the house you can visit with the homesteaders and animals, kids will happily deliver fresh eggs to your site if you would like. Very private, close enough to I90 that you will likely hear traffic sounds. Walk to Benetka Rd. Covered bridge or hop in your car and find the Ashtabula harbor district, wineries, more covered bridges, Lake Erie Beaches are close by, as well as Geneva and Conneaut. The fun possibilities are endless all around us.

You are not lost is a quick park site. Park and pop your tent in this easy little pull off area. Short lovely walk to moss beach, the farm, the old log cabin island, or the outhouse. One of our quietest sites as it is further from I90 however, expect to hear the highway. No fire here too many leaves and trees.

This is a very lovely location with natural beauty and friendly and generous hosts. Easy access from the highway. Made it a quick stop for us, while traveling through the area, and a bit noisy from the highway sounds. Good luck on the homestead, it was fun to see some of the animals.

We had great time and a great camp. Krista was very responsive and friendly on every level. We did a hot tent camp in the snow and we didn't get to enjoy all they have to offer, but we still had a great time by the water. We definitely would like to visit again.

We went as a group of 4 adults and 1 dog. The camping spaces are big and accessible, as well as the farm stand located outside of the entrance. As this is a homestead, the owners are very amazingly priced with their eggs, and various other trinkets they have to offer within the stand! There is so much to explore within the area, whether it’s local businesses or just on the land you stay on. Many gorgeous views, amazing fishing, and a phenomenal view of the stars in the evening. There are boats available for use, as well as 2 toilets, many spaces for picnicking and campfires, even with the freeway in the background after a little bit, it becomes white noise because you’re so surrounded and engaged in your environment. The owners are very polite, hospitable, and even provide you with a map of the property and encourage exploration and understanding of the history of the land. Absolutely will be returning and recommending this camping space to any family or just couples looking for a peaceful and relaxing weekend getaway!

Had a great tent camping experience at Krista's place -- Steadfast Roots Homestead. We had our pick of sites and chose to stay near the moss beach and enjoyed relaxing by the firepit and hiking the grounds. The campground is very rustic -- but has some great old structures to explore. As other mentioned, the property abuts the highway, but it was little more than a gentle hum throughout the night. Would definitely visit again.

This is a beautiful piece of land tucked away just 30 mins from Lake Erie, and 3mins from Apple picking and more. Krista was the best host. She had great recommendations and responded so quickly when we thought we needed help jumping our vehicle (luckily false alarm lol). Site 2 was lovely with views of the pond, which has some medium sized blue gill we caught and released. Plenty of nature to see and cute chickens! We left feeling stress free.

We had an amazing time at Steadfast Roots! The property is beautiful! You can hear the highway, but after a bit you don’t really notice. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in hammocks, fishing, wandering, and a fire at night. There are lots of animals and access to boats and kayaks. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

Really fun site, conveniently located, but do be aware that means you're gonna hear the freeway. If this bothers you, plan accordingly. Would camp here again.

We had a perfect evening at this campsite. It was very picturesque, quiet (we were the only ones there!) and easy to find. There is boating and fishing, adorable pigs, chickens, and ducks! The property had some great old buildings to check out while hiking (including a piano in the woods) and our dogs loved exploring the property. The free firewood and the option to buy eggs was a huge plus! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is looking for a getaway into the woods

This site is very noisy I 90 is right at the edge of the property and you can hear and see the traffic. Unfortunately it takes away the feeling of being immersed in nature. Also the sites are not well maintained trying to find a place to pitch a tent was quite challenging. The sites are also not marked well so finding the site you reserved can be a bit difficult. The host was kind enough to let us know that someone had booked a site so we left early since we would have absolutely no privacy.

Great spot! Krista and max were lovely and helpful. I got fresh chicken and duck eggs. It rained before so my old van got a little stuck but I was able to get it out no problem. Lots of animals!

This is an absolute gem of a property! Many tent sites to choose from. The 3 acre lake is gorgeous with great fishing- my husband caught a 5 lb bass and my 6 year old had fun catching fish after fish. The hosts gave us a lovely tour of their homestead and my son got the whole petting zoo experience. Hosts even helped get a few things we had forgotten at home. Our visit unfortunately was cut short, by no fault of theirs, but we will absolutely be back!

Beautiful property! Terrific hosts…friendly and helpful! We enjoyed fishing! And caught many good size fish. Watched a heron stop to eat and deer come down to the lake to drink! And watched the geese floating around. Pretty flowers all around! We got to relax a lot! And our dogs loved it there! Sites are private! We definitely will be back!

Steadfast Homestead is a lovely property in a great location to wineries and beaches. We went for the solar eclipse & the hosts couldn't have been more accomodating. It was particularly fun to break-in a new campsite, #1, that was large enough for our seven person group. However, there is a constant hum from the freeway.. But nothing a music speaker can't fix if that's the style of camping someone's looking for.

The lake was great and so were the hosts! Be careful if things have been wet, as the road will be muddy, but we were able to manage it in our little Kia Rio. The kids had a blast.

This was such a lovely place to camp for the eclipse! The owners are friendly and communicative, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The animals around were a plus. The highway was close to the camp, but if you camp on the far end, it’s barely noticeable. 10/10 would come back!

What a lovely time we had at Steadfast Roots! Tent sites are oriented perfectly for a sunset view over pond. Homesteaders and their animals are all so sweet and welcoming! We loved the chance to get an affordable and candid photo shoot for our 3rd anniversary. Mossy beach made for the most comfortable tent camping I've ever done!

Krista and her family were very welcoming. Their property is beautiful and I really enjoyed staying by their little lake. I didn’t stay long enough to enjoy their farm fresh eggs but I hope next time I come through their area I can. This is a great place to stay!

I loved this camp. Only thing is , I recommend camping on the mossy side because the road noise is worse on the other side. The road noise did slow way down in the evening. Great hosts with eggs and firewood
