This campsite has been one of the best we’ve experienced through Hipcamp! There was tons of room for our pups to run, and we had the place entirely to ourselves. Todd was super great and met us at the campsite to give us more details about the property, which was much appreciated! And added bonus, the campsite had an outhouse/porta-potty!! Overall great experience and we’re looking forward to coming back soon!

Todd was awesome! He met us at the campsite and gave us a full walkthrough of the property and what to expect. The place itself is absolutely STUNNING. We went on a Sunday night and had the entire spot to ourselves, which made it feel even more special.
There was plenty of firewood ready to use, multiple fire rings, and even a porta potty which made things super convenient. The property has streams and tons of beautiful areas to wander and explore, which our dogs absolutely loved.
Couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience! We will definitely be coming back! 🌲🔥🐾

Really cool spot. Enough room for my entire family tree— would be a fun place to go with a large group. If you are planning to fish I would go in the spring, water level was very low and they only stock once a year so not much of a bite. Lots of 3-4 inchers on the fly though.
Todd was great and met us there to show us around the site.

I highly recommend this place. The property was gorgeous…..we will definitely be returning next year.
Todd did a great job with communication, responded to all questions in a very timely manner. We had no problems on this trip.

TLDR: Todd is a great host, and the land is immaculate. The free firewood was a great benefit. It is extremely peaceful and feels safe, even for a solo camper.
When I got there, Todd treated me well. He is a great guy and showed me around the property before sending me on my way. Other than the occasional car passing on the private dirt road nearby, nobody came by.
The land is amazing, expect bugs and other creatures since it is on a creek, but it was way better than I was expecting. The sites themselves are amazing and you get to choose any site in your area. It is recommended that you have a 4WD car, since it is borderline off-roading.
The free firewood was very nice and there was enough to last a good long time, even for a group. I would recommend still bringing your own though if it has rained recently, since the wood is out in the open.
I am a solo camper and this spot felt very peaceful, safe, and there was plenty to do. Also, the roads are really cool around this area. :)
Overall I highly recommend!

Great spot to camp. We enjoyed floating in the creek and sitting by the fire. The dogs loved exploring and enjoying the creek as well. Todd was a great host.

Main Bridge
Todd was very helpful and complete with his walkthrough/instructions. Site was spacious and scenic. No toilet facility at Main Bridge, so be prepared for that. Todd provided plenty of firewood and fire ring. There are three levels spots at main bridge large enough for a pop-up, so you can situate to suit yourself. Very pleasant stay.

My dog and I loved Trout Camp. It was easy to find despite being offline once turning into the valley. No reception at camp which was fine by me!
Todd was a great host- very friendly and informative and met us on arrival. There are actually several spots to set up camp, each with their own fire pit. I spent one night in the pines and the second in the clearing and both were lovely! Nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of the creek:)
I felt very safe at this site and loved being able to let my dog off leash. The way the creek flows around the land gave him plenty of room to explore while also providing a nice barrier to the many deer he spotted in the fields across the water.
We had a blast and would love to return again. Thanks Todd for sharing your beautiful land!!

Todd was an excellent host. He greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property. He also told us a lot about the area and things to do. The property is amazing! Beautiful trail, a river and creek, which is deep enough to swim in. We brought our rafts and floated in the river part. It was nice and relaxing. My husband and I will defiantly be back!

Great spot- you could either book with one family and have a huge secluded spot or bring a whole crew of friends. The river was awesome and when we went, it was pretty low so there were a few swimming holes! We will for sure be back!

I'm super envious of Todd's amazing property. This is a large, gorgeous track of land that is bordered by a river (he calls it a creek, but it's pretty large) and backs right up to game lands.
There's a port-a-potty, several well-arranged campsites to choose from, and plenty of room for your doggos to run around and have fun. This is also the cleanest campsite I've ever seen.
My only worry while there was with my dogs trying to go into the road, because it was slightly busy over Memorial Day weekend. I do intend to retru on a less busy weekend.

We loved camping here! The site is one of the best I've been too! Surrounded by fresh running water and deep enough (in parts) for a nice cold plunge! Plenty of spots to choose from for camp and a large amount of hiking trails! We saw a ton of nature from wood peckers, hummingbirds, fish, wild deer and a few racoons too! We unfortunatly were not able to stay the entire weekend due to unforseen circumstances but will be back 100% with friends to show it off!
Todd is an amazing host! He went over all the things to know about the area, provided a great supply of timber and kindling, and even keeps a porta potty on property for guests to use. It is clear that Todd cares a great deal about this land and is pleased to share it with everyone!
I highly recommend you book a site here! It was an incredible experience!

Extremely private with a few areas to choose from to set up camp. Each with their own fire pit. Two of the sites overlook the main stream and the one with the largest fire pit is along the narrower creek(?). Todd met me there and explained the property and areas to choose for to set up camp. He has a huge pile of wood that he said is free to use. Thank you! I didn't bring enough of my own and it got down into the 30's and 40's at night in late October. Fantastic base camp for 2 Mile Run County Park with Justus Lake (10 min drive). Oil Creek State Park is 15 min or so away and Titusville/Drake Well Museum is a 20 min drive. I also recommend Venango Museum of Art, Science and Industry in Oil City! I'd definately recommend staying at Trout Camp!

Awesome secluded spot if you're looking to get away. Not far from town so if you need anything it's not a long trip to the store. No light pollution so you can watch the stars on a clear night, and listen to the coyote and owls call all night long. No need to bring a noise machine because the babbling creek will put you to sleep in .00001 seconds. I was lucky enough to come in the fall and got to witness the leaves changing. Will definitely be booking again, my favorite spot I've camped at in a long time!!

My kids and I tent camped here for one night. It was a great spot. The woods are beautiful, and the kids loved playing in the creeks nearby. Everything was clean. There was a lot of cut wood on site that we were welcome to use. Todd was friendly & helpful. Our site was pretty far back from the road, but the ATVs that went by were still startlingly loud. Of course that isn't the host's fault or anything... ATVs are just loud. But everything settled down by evening time, and we enjoyed a peaceful night.

We really loved this property. You can tell the owners use and care for the land. Lots of space to spread out within the camp area. Trails to explore. Easy access to the creek. Absolutely beautiful.
There is a gravel road close to the camp area but not a ton of traffic. It did not take away from the beauty of the site. Our dog was off leash and had a blast.
The site owner was super cool and prompt.
It was a perfect weekend.

As much as I dont want to give this place a 5 star rating, due to wanting it for myself and family all the time, it deserves a 5 star. Todd was a great host, he met us at the site and walked us around and gave all the details of trails, things to see. He answered all my concerns and questions before we even arrived. Our trip was cut short due to mother nature and our leaky tents, but we will be back either for a fall trip or next summer. Our grandsons had a blast in the creek catching minnows, little toads and salamanders(catch and release of course). And us adults enjoyed not having to worry about them and could relax. Thank you Todd! Just wish the weather would have been better, but we will be back and promise not so many questions next time.
