Located just outside of Parker, PA and 25 minutes from I-80, our campsite is very accessible, yet still very remote.
*For clarification; some reviewers have remarked that 4WD or lifted vehicles are need for site access. This is false. An AWD vehicle can access every site in all but the worst of conditions, and the Stargazing and Travelers site can be accessed by any vehicle. If you have questions, please message me!*
With 4 campsites on 75 acres, guests have ample privacy and space, with the freedom to roam this posted property that has no homes on it. Perched high above the Allegheny there are several spots to take in the wonderful views. There is also a waterfall with a 3’ deep pool below it. Great for splashing with kids or dogs, guests love exploring the creek bottom and making new discoveries. The more curious guests sometimes find the ruins of the original homestead, chimney and spring house that sit upstream. The property is teeming with wildlife. Birds and tree frogs will be the soundtrack of your visit, and often deer will be seen nosing along the outskirts of your site in the mornings and evenings. Turkey, bald eagles and even bear are occasionally spotted, so be prepared to secure your food and trash at night.
For those coming to disconnect, you have found the right place. But if cell service is needed, you will have enough for texts at all 4 sites, calls at 3 of 4 sites and good internet at 2 of 4 sites.
For those who seek an electrical outlet AND an EV charger, the Travelers site is for you, and included in the price.
Within a 15 minute drive of your campsite you can find The North Country Trail, Rails to Trails Trailheads and Boat Launches on the Allegheny River, Groceries, dining and beer.

Red Maple Campsite: A large luxury private site that includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for a maximum 10 guests with on-site parking space that is 90ft long and 20ft wide, for an RV or 6-8 cars and overflow parking for several more cars. It is designed to be backed into with an RV and then pulled out of. This site can handle several tents and has two picnic tables, two portable toilets, a scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, benches, a charcoal grill, and on-site string lights.
Aspen RV Campsite: A medium private luxury drive through site great for RVs, rooftop tents, pop ups or camper vans. This site includes potable water and electricity on site, designed with water and electric hookups for a single camping vehicle, maximum 6 people. Two of our exclusive campsites are located on the banks of the Little Schuylkill River, with the world-renowned Hawk Mountain Sanctuary boarding on the other side of the river. The third site, has an open view of Hawk Mountain and the farm, to say nothing of the full sky view.. Our private, exclusive campsites, easily encompassing about 5 acres at each site and surrounded by the 150 acre farm, are designed to take advantage of the natural surroundings. Here you will find yourself off grid and alone with nature. Imagine yourself pitching your tent along the river or on the hill top, viewing countless birds of prey and all types of wildlife with no other folks around, except for your people.
The location could not be better or more private. Our family for years have camped and played at these site, enjoying the river and night sounds. We are a working Christmas Tree farm as well. Truly private camping, not a commercial camp ground. Very few camping sites exist where you can just have your own space, but you may have it here. Because we are a tree farm, we cannot allow you to bring wood from other locations on to the farm. Wood is for sale here and we request a pre order so we can have it ready at your site. You may purchase through Hipcamp or directly from us.
All sites have a picnic table, a Hawk Shadow Out House, water to wash things, a preparation table and a good bundle of kindling to start off your camping experience. There Is a shovel, cooking grates, log benches and a neat campfire ring. Potable water is available at the farm and you may refill when needed.

This site is along the river. It is private and lovely.
You may park your car above the site and walk down to the river and camping area. Short, 50 yards, but a steepish walk. Pack in and out accordingly.
Very private, lots of space. It is perfect.
Campsite #2 (Dog Gone Site)
This site is also along the river.
It is private and has the same set up as site one.
Park your car on top of hill and walk on down. It is a lovely spot. Walk is about 50 yards down a steep hill. Pack accordingly.
Campsite #3 (High Site)
Site 3 is above the river and looks over Hawk Mountain and the farm.
It is private with beautiful views. Unreal full moon gazing.............
Sunrise, Sunset, Moon rise, Bird watching, all very visible from this site.
Car accessible, no walking to campsite required.
At all sites, different seasons bring different activities. Spring: Kayaking, fishing and hiking. Summer: hiking, fishing in the pond, cooling off in the swim hole. Fall: raptor watching, hiking, biking plus fishing, (license required), in the Little Schuylkill. The nights are dark with star lit skies.
We have a 1.5 acre bass pond on the farm for fishing, so bring your rod. Big bass in there!!
Your camp site is surrounded by woods and forest, fields and trees.
You are a two hour drive from center city Philadelphia and 2.5 hours from down town New York City. One hour from Harrisburg.

There is plenty of local produce, we can give you directions to our local farm stands. Fresh butchers are not far away.

Yes, you can drive to the area of the campsite, but no, you cannot drive down actual site at campsite #1 and #2. Parking at site 3, no walk required..

We had a group not understand this so I want to make sure it is clear.
Firewood is for sale here for CASH! Please bring CASH with you.
Sixty acres of magical trees, a one acre pond, and a three acre field. From the road there is a two hundred foot elevation gain to the top of the hill. Along the way are several hundred feet of rock ledges, caves, and critters. Most of the land is sloping, but the hilltop is flat as a table, with prehistoric-looking ferns under a dense canopy of mature trees.
The campsites are ultra secluded- about a quarter mile apart from each other. All sites include a fire pit, cooking grate, picnic table, and sites 2&3 have platforms.
Camp ONE: is on the top of the hill, and a small car can be driven to within 150 feet of it. It is pretty flat, and surrounded by blackberry bushes, ferns, and trees.
Camp TWO: is on a bluff overlooking a picturesque swamp, filled with hemlock trees and ferns. This site can not be driven to with anything less than a high clearance SUV (ie- jeep wrangler), so I consider it a hike in site. It is under a ten minute walk from the pond and parking lot, but the view and feel is worth it. (It has been brought to our attention that there is occasionally a group riding atvs on a neighboring property that are audible from this site. We have no control over what time it happens, so please keep this in mind)
Camp THREE: is accessible with a four wheel drive vehicle, something at least as high as an SUV. It is the closest to the house and pond, but still far enough to feel secluded and completely private. If you choose to walk there, it’s only a couple minutes from the parking area.
Throughout the property, there are many quiet places to hang out, flat spots to do yoga, trails to explore, and fishing and swimming in the beautiful pond. We are also just ten minutes from the Upper Delaware River, and all it has to offer.

We are located in beautiful Clearfield county Pennysalvina. Our farm is on over 150 acres. It’s has been in the family for generations. It has beautiful farm views with wooded areas. There is lots of wildlife to see. Including bear, bobcat, deer, eagles, fishers, and many other species. We have lots of hiking trails and our property also boarders state game lands. It’s a short drive to the Susquehanna River and other parks. You can also enjoy the cows, goats, peacocks, chickens, ducks, and turkeys at the farm. Contact the host and set up a time to visit and feed the animals. Learn more about our family farm and the animals. We also have a sawmill and wood shop. Nearby is Bilgers Rocks, Rock Run Atv Park, Prince Gallitzin State Park, the Susquehanna River, and many other fantastic outdoor activities. It’s a place to unwind and relax. And connect with nature. This is in a very rural part of Pennsylvania and camping in the winter weather can be difficult. So please prepare yourself with additional sleeping bags for winter. The tent is heated but because of the unpredictable and sometimes dangerous weather you need to be prepared. The bathroom is also outdoors so there will not be a shower provided till after the freezing weather. And the loo is not heated. It is also recommended that you have all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive to get to the campsite in the winter. It is possible to walk from road to site. But you should consider this when booking. RTR is a very beautiful place in the winter but it can also be dangerous if you’re not prepared.

Experience secluded glamping in our canvas Yurt with luxury and amenities. Its like a hotel in the woods but so much better. Take a Hot shower, under the stars or in the sunlight. Use our brand new outdoor flushable toilet. Come relax, hear the sounds of nature. Take a tour of the farm or hike around our property. You might even be able to feed or pet a cow! It’s all waiting for you! It's all located on our 460 acre farm.
Running water and flushable toilet along with hot shower are all yours, and not shared by anyone else. Our tent is within 10 minutes of Salt Springs State park, with waterfalls and amazing trails for hiking. We are about 30 minutes or less from Ross park Zoo and Animal adventure. We are located about 35-45 minutes north of Scranton PA. There is also 12 minutes to the historic small town of Montrose, with great shopping at Hometown Finds and Friends, to a most stop shop for amazing chocolate at Chocolate by Leopold.

We are Marty and Deborah. Welcome to our 40 hidden acres of paradise where we are surrounded by wildlife and raise much of our food including beef, pork, chickens and a productive garden. We have multiple campsites here from wooded to open field or by the pond so come and pick one that suits you best.
We are adjacent to the Kennerdell Tract Of Clear Creek State Forest which has miles of hiking and biking trails as well as the Allegheny River which provides fishing, boating, kayak/ canoeing opportunities. There is also The Allegheny River Trail which provides miles of paved bike trails.
What we offer: We are not a campground and do not offer multi-night stays
We are vandwellers when we are traveling. As such we understand the problems associated with finding a spot to overnight.
We offer just that, a safe, quiet stop over for the night. That being said, if you need an extra day feel free to ask, we often say yes.

The Roller-Coaster Road Ranch offers many maintained trails, perfect for hiking. The property is mainly forested, but does contain numerous open spaces perfect for a rustic camping experience. The farm has a few large open fields that are plowed and planted seasonally. Various wildlife populates the area; whitetail deer, turkey, black bear, and bald eagles. A stocked trout stream passes through portions of the property and connects to a larger stream with many options for swimming, wading, and crayfish hunting. The Trout Camp site is located at the confluence of two trout streams at the valley bottom, it is an open wooded area in view of a dirt road. The Main Bridge site is located along a trout stream in the valley, offers the most privacy, and is gated. The Valley View site is located at the top of a hill along side a cornfield, with spacious views, beautiful sunsets, and cell service, but does not offer direct access to the trout streams.

The Nason Trust is a 4th generation owned outdoor enthusiasts haven tucked away on private land in the outskirts of the Allegheny National Forest.
We offer primitive camping along with equestrian primitive camping. We have a dedication to preserving natural habitat, as well as the cooperative efforts of people with diverse interests in the outdoors to provide a positive recreational experience for all of our visitors.
The Nason Trust is located by a significant amount of trail systems that traverses gorgeous, rocky, stream-filled trails that pass by remnants of Kellettville's boomtown. While guests get to enjoy the geology, elevation changes, with dramatic views while enjoying their favorite outdoor activities.
Campers will have access to the North Country National Scenic Trail that is the longest in the national trail system it spans across 8 states from North Dakota to Vermont covering 4,800 miles.
Minister Creek Trail is a short drive away. It's a moderately challenging hike that passes several outstanding rock outcroppings. After your hike you can drop by frog rock the local's favorite swimming hole that's along the same short drive back from Minister Creek trail back to the Nason Trust.
Tionesta Creek and Salmon Creek are well stocked to lure in any avid fishermen. Along with another local gem; Ross Run's Habitat Improvement area it's a half mile set aside for Children 15 and under and people with Special needs giving them their very own special stocked fishing area.

We are a working blueberry and flower farm near the town of Tunkhannock, in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania.
We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by.
On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year!
We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods.
There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife.
Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes).
We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in.
Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular.
Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

The campsite was clean, peaceful, and set in an ideal location. We loved the great trails, exploring the old homestead, and especially the beautiful waterfall. There was so much to explore and enjoy, making it the perfect place to disconnect and spend time outdoors. We had a great stay and will definitely be coming back.

Site 3 on Susan’s Christmas tree farm is a must-stay! The property is beautiful, with rolling hills of young trees, a perfectly maintained open field section for your campsite, and a bunch of interweaving walking trails. Our golden retriever loved racing around the trails next to our site and it was so secluded and private that it really feels like you’re all alone out there. The wash sink comes complete with a hose of non-potable water, sponge, soap, wash basin, and hand sanitizer. That was a fantastic addition which exceeded our expectations. The outhouse was as comfortable as you can get using the bathroom outside and the bag system was surprisingly easy to use. The fire pit was great and the cooking grate provided is a nice addition. Also, excellent fire wood! Everything about the site was wonderful.
We especially have to thank Susan immensely for driving up to speak with us when I accidentally lost my wedding ring. She offered to call her friend with a metal detector and search the property thoroughly for us as soon as possible. We can tell she really cares about giving her guests a good, comfortable experience and doing what she can to help them. I’m lucky to have found my ring before needing her and her friends to search around for me, but the offer and care she showed meant the world in a stressful moment. Susan’s campsites are a must if you’re in the area!!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The campsite was beautiful, peaceful, and the creek was definitely our favorite part. We spent the weekend hiking, collecting firewood, exploring, cooking over the fire, and making some really great memories. The host was super friendly too!

We had a great time camping! The sites were clearly marked and despite the wet road conditions getting back to our site, our Impreza was able to easily get in and out. The site felt private and has a nice picnic table and fire pit with numerous grates, tongs, etc to use for fire cooking. The outhouse was well stocked with wood chips, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer. The onsite firewood was also very convenient and reasonably priced. We got caught in some thunderstorms, so the platform came in handy to keep us off the ground.
The highlight is definitely the short walk down to the beautiful waterfall! What a hidden gem! We definitely will be back - hopefully with less rain :)

This was a nice end of summer weekend with just a few of us this time around. Spent most of the time swimming in the creek and eating around the fire. My friend brought his son for his first ever camping trip, and he had a great time. Next year we are going to check out the stargazer site in the fall; definitely looking forward to that! This site is so crazily underrated. The drive out was pleasantly remote. The camping site itself is immaculate, well-manicured and splendidly vast. Be absolutely sure to take the trail to the waterfall and leave plenty of time to stay and soak in the gorgeous little stream with lots of dramatic water falls. This site was wonderfully quiet and overlooked the Allegheny River in a way inexplainable in pictures. The hosts written directions to the site are absolutely accurate and concise; follow them to a “t” and you’ll have no trouble locating it. This was one of my favorite camp sites of all time and my ten-year old loved it as well and wants to return. Bring a frisbee, some favorite beverages, great food and your troubled soul to be revived. It. Was. Great! Thank you.

Todd was responsive and informative. He met us at the campsite to give us a rundown about the property and answered any questions we had. Afterwards we were left along to enjoy the property ourselves. The property was gorgeous and private. There were some atv’s and dirt bikes that ran up and down the road occasionally but once they passed by it was quiet again. There were a lot of hiking trails that kept us busy and many more that we didn’t get the chance to explore. After hiking, the creek was very peaceful and relaxing. Our boys loved it! There were a few spots that were deep enough to “swim” and play around in. Would highly recommend staying here!

One night was definitely not enough here! I’d love to come back and spend more time exploring the land. The waterfall was beautiful and just a short walk from our spot. My kids loved walking in the water and looking for crayfish. It was their first time seeing one, and I realized I hadn’t seen one since I was a kid!
The first thing my son said when he got out of the car was, “It’s so quiet here!” And he was absolutely right. Such a peaceful place and we really enjoyed our stay!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Site 1 by the river! The campsite was beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. Having a water hookup, bathroom, and easy access to firewood made everything so convenient and completely hassle-free.
Our dogs also had an amazing time and loved being able to enjoy the site off-leash. It was the perfect place for them to explore and relax.

This was my first experience using hip camp and I’m really happy with my first trip. It was absolutely serene and peaceful. Privacy right on the river. I would absolutely come back here. The host was communicative and very nice. Never got to meet in person but that’s was perfectly fine since they made it extremely easy to get to the sites and get anything extra you may need. Some details about the area: The road in starts as a dirt road with a small farm stand and then turns into grassy road through a field, They do recommend 4WD but for anyone wondering I was able to easily drive my Toyota Camry to my site but if there had been a heavy rain it could possibly get too muddy for something as such. I stayed at site 2 which was extremely secluded and private. First thing to know is there is a steep walk down to the site. A wheelbarrow is provided but it wasn’t too bad getting down. It was more of a pain getting back up but I feel it is worth it for this site. Plenty of space with complete tree coverage. Benches, chairs, sink, table, clothesline, kindling, fire pit, all on site over looking a river. There is a short path leading you down to the shallow river where we spent all day fishing and catching bass and fall fish. We saw some crawfish around the rocks and once in while would see a neighbor floating down the river or taking a swim. All in all it is a great sight and I promise you can’t go wrong with choosing this for your trip.
